OK. Note this is not a widget - install the zip file via CWM Recovery screen.

That's exactly what I did installed with cwm (recovery)

Well this completely removed my status bar. Figure it's conflicting with the 14 Quick Panel I have installed. All stock other than that.

same thing happened to me, the notification bar is gone and phone isn't working properly. I flashed through clockwork. Any solutions here?

Let's make sure it was made for 727 and not 777

Download the alien rom.
Install via CWM
Restore from nandroid
Fix Permissions
Wipe Dalvik Cache.

Hi - weird I definitely cooked this using my Skyrocket rom... no issues for me since I cooked and installed it.

I have the Alien ROM and I'm getting the same issue as them.

[Q] Q about TrickDroid 4.3 and AOSP Lockscreen

Hi xda-people,
I'm pretty overwhelmed about the forum performance in here Thats what I wanted to say at first.
now my question:
Im runnin' the TrickDroid Custom Rom v4.3 on my HTC ONE S (EU) - so torxx gives the possibility to use the AOSP Lockscreen in the tweaks. I tried this because I hate this HTC ring ._. but it doesn't work ...if I activate it in the TrickDroid app - do a reboot of the device ... nothing happen .. only this damn HTC ring.. hopefully I don't have to throw HTC Sense completely away .. can someone please help me with this case ?
Thanks in advance and so far,
mmry
Hi,
can you please reinstall the tweaks app?
Hey,
I reinstalled the tweak app ... here the description of what I did: At first I removed the tweak app .. then gone in CWR flashed the tweak zip to start AROMA and reinstalled it. then booted up the phone - went into the tweak app and activated the lockscreen .. but again .. doesnt work ... hmpf :/
Regards,
mmry.
Please contact he_stheone64 for that, for me it works fine
Problem is solved and question was answered, please close this thread!
Thanks in advance mods.
regards,
mmry

I'd also like to know how to get this working, I haven't installed Nova launcher, just stayed with Sense but can't get this AOSP lock screen to come up? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Ok I managed to fix this by going into EZ File Explorer in root mode, accessing the 'system/app' folder and changing the 'HTCLockscreen.apk' extension to anything else (mine now looks like 'HTCLockscreen.kpa'). When it can't find it the phone defaults to AOSP version. I guess deleting it would have the same effect, but good to keep it just incase.
Hope this helps anyone else who's stuck with this problem.

Having issues here. Seems like there is no keyboard installed for me.
And the themes are not working, it doesn't change even after applying.
EDIT: Found the fix for the themes. Just create a "theme" folder under data/system using root explorer. As for the keyboard issue, I just installed a keyboard app from my sdcard and use that.

Add a keyboard to the new version whenever you update and take one of the launchers out. Other than that, I love it.
Torch FCs constantly, if you use the toggle for it, it breaks lockscreen due to constant FC and flashlight lockscreen.

Its a setting in frankinstine AOKP ROM.
Settings -> ROM Control -> Clock -> Day of the week.
I was getting fc's too.
Have just done a fresh install of frank's updated rom, installed the clock, and after first unlock and when trying to access the alarm it would fc. Both clocks were installed though.
I did a backup of the old clock (with blue icon, they're both 2.0.3) in titanium, and uninstalled. Reboot, and all seems to be fine now.

Just clearing the clock data didn't fix my fc's. I actually had to remove the .apk of the stock clock, wipe cache/dalvik and reboot.
Now it works great.
Thanks!
works like a charm no fc issues thanks
Just wanted to thank the OP for this. I like it a lot but.... Is there anyway someone could mod this to include a digital clock widget similar to AOKP but with the digital clock from the new desk clock???? If so that would be awesome.

You can use any Root Uninstaller app, ROM Toolbox to uninstall the old clock.apk or a root file explorer to delete it. If you can't figure out the old from the new clock, remove them both. once done, reflash zip.

[MOD] AT&T LG G2 KitKat Smaller Navigation Bar and Disable CarrierIQ

Disclaimer: I typically modify to meet my own needs, on my own time, for my own device. This means that it might not be a mod meant for everyone, nor has it been thoroughly tested by anyone but myself. Use at your own risk.
Description: Modifies framework-res.apk in /system/framework to disable the loading of CarrierIQ on start-up as well as shrink the margins on the navigation bar for a little more screen real estate. This has only been tested and used on Stock AT&T LG G2 4.4 KitKat.
Link: https://db.tt/IoEgdIsr
Instructions: Back-up your current framework-res.apk in /system/framework then replace it with this one.
Notes:
CarrierIQ no longer shows 7 running processes via System Tuner on boot. To me, this indicates it is no longer being loaded. Otherwise, if you want, you can use System Tuner -> System -> Android System [Details] -> uncheck each of 7 CarrierIQ processes to do it manually.
This is a simple dimens.xml modification. Nothing major.
After replacing file with root explorer I went into a boot loop... Now I am afraid that I am going to have to completely restore my phone.
I know this is pretty straight forward but your file didn't work.
need to know if anyone was successful with this mod yet. do not want to go into a bootloop or force closes.
Also waiting for others to confirm this working first.
If only Xposed were working.
gonna flag this because it just crashes phones..... i just did it and i really dont think its funny.

i am actually kind of mad that this messed up my phone and took multiple tries to get into download mode. now i have to redo everything.
This work perfect for me, here how i did it
First backup my framework apk
second i copied the mod framework apk to system folder
then i set 644 permission for it
finally i move and replace it to framework folder
restart rightaway and it work
thanks OP for the mod file
btw maybe you should shrink the navbar a little less, it way too thin in my opion

This works great. Use root explorer and set permissions. Don't forget to make a nandroid backup if you can.
Download the apk from OP, then:
1. I copied over the framework after renaming it. (I just added a 2 at the end)
2. Then I set permissions (I just checked all the boxes... why not). At this point it would be a good idea to backup your original framework apk in case you want to restore.
3. Then I named it properly and over wrote the original (removed the 2)
4. I rebooted.
I somewhat disagree with the post above, I wouldn't mind it being a little smaller.
I am running this on the D800 running the androiduser's power user D802 base ROM.
@burningembers can you make one that will get rid of the volume and brightness sliders? Thanks!

Thanks heatshiver the nav bar smaller is nice. I'm still detecting Carrier IQ though .. Doing it manually with android tuner I would disable all of the items under android system? Thanks again bud
Edit: you probably already have this info but just in case or anyone else wanting to take a crack at totally disabling it (if possible)

thanks for this mod. I'll try this tonight after I flash the rom. I wouldn't mind a smaller nav bar too if you ever think of making another one.
This is a great mod, but remember that you cannot FULLY remove Carrier IQ from the ATT ROM. You can disable the services and prevent them from running which is what this does, and maybe it stops it all and maybe it doesnt IDK. But there is carrier IQ embedded into the UI code, the keyboard code, the messaging app code, etc. The only way to truly not have any Carrier IQ on your phone is to not run an ATT base ROM.
Thats weird cause i moved the framework mod into system/framework and set the permissions to rw--r--r and my screen started force closing and when i rebooted it stayed on the lg logo. Will try again later tonight
If you use adb you could push then reboot or if you're on a rom that has recovery you could create a zip.
Do you need to be rooted for this?

Thanks!

It worked perfectly for me when I did it the way above. I also went back to the original framework using this method. I'm not sure what you are doing wrong but at this point just use xposed (the Chinese leak found in the general section) and the G2 xposed module. That's what I am doing and I have a small nav bar.
Don't be mad at us, we were just reporting something we did that worked. If a few of us got it working and you did the problem is somewhere on your end not ours. So don't blame us, we gain nothing from lying. It may just be the ROM you are using
EDIT: it appears they closed that Chinese xposed thread for some reason. You may want to check out why but here is the link to the apk http://pan.baidu.com/s/1mgFNFc8 I haven't had any issues but it may cause issues with the lg launcher. Use this at you own risk... Good luck
