States only one core?

Maybe its not designed for both cores? Or maybe your phone only has one....

I'm running on a doubleshot...
Sent from my MT4GS - CM7

I noticed when I was running CM7, that quadrant stated the camera as a 7mp. Makes me wonder if that's why we can't get 1080p recording with CM7

Quadrant is used to Compare older devices performance wise. It's not optimized to do both cores. It's not lying, juts testing a single core. I believe Atutu is made for DualCore. So is Smartbench 2011. I don't care about the scores, so I don't know to much. Hope this helped. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I know no one cares about quadrant scores.

But DG's Cognition v3.04 with glitterballs really impressive sounding name provided scores of 1877, 1844 and 1830 with no OC'ing at all. So far the battery life is just about the same as with just cognition and seems to be equally as smooth.

I've gotten Quadrant as high as 3000 before.
It means nothing.

Whoopty Doo
sometimes quadrant tells me that my phone just whooped Zeus's @$$ and stole his lightning and then put a baby inside Aphrodite. and sometimes it tells me that Corky just got a higher IQ score than my phone.

Ok guys time to close it up. We all know that the Quad scores mean little to nothing on these phones so no sense in confusing new people lol

Overclocking :-0

Here is alittle something you guys to think about.http://www.droid-life.com/2011/03/2...t-gets-clocked-to-1-8ghz-with-2772-benchmark/
Sweet, but I care more about battery life than more speed.

There are already threads in general about overclocking and quadrant, this doesn't belong in development.

i/o tweaks making that big a difference? does real life performance improve dramatically too?

Leaked 2.3 smartbench scores.

So my last smart bench I did on froyo netted 3065/2600 after running the leaked 2.3 my score
Has bumped up a little.
I love this phone.

Why cant we have android 3.0 on our phones if there are tablets with the same processor that are running 3.0? I thought 3.0 was especially made for dual core **cough cough**Tegra**cough cough**

Because a straight port of 3.0 is pretty awful on a phone. A lot of the UI tweaks just aren't good on a small screen.
where can i find this app. Searched market as well as googled to no avail.

EDIT: I only got 3154 with E-Blood 1.0.3

Quadrant score for Desire S

What should be "normal" for Desire? I constantly get around 2000+ with no overclock. On my former Legend oced to 806 Mhz I was hardly getting 1400. I know the processor is better in Desire S but still the difference is big. Could be a bug with Quadrant?
Using CM 7.1 stable, interactive governor, 1024 mhz, standard CM kernel

That's good you should be happy with a higher score... Whats wrong with that
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
I am happy...there's no doubt about that. I was just wondering if these are the usual values for Desire since in the Legend section there was such a topic with benchmark results and here I couldn't find any.
If values are not resulting from a bug of Quadrant and are correct, it's great. I was just surprised by the difference that's all and wanted to compare the results with other's. I don't see now any reason for which I should overclock the Desire S. Maybe ICS will demand more power, but I think has enough for now. Everything works smooth and fast, no lag, temp does not raise above 35-37 degrees...it's great

Yep, no need to OC
Those results are normal for AOSP ROMs, (like cm7)

Benchmark Ratings for different roms

Hey guys,
I'm a little new to the HTC one xl community. I am trying to find a ROM that has the highest overall benchmark rating. Whether antutu or quadrant. Please post them below with your ROM and which one you used. Also, screenshots would be easier.
Sorry, this is seen as a "best Rom" thread which is frowned upon by xda, Its probably going to get deleted :/
-Sugardaddy Duncan
Why would you be looking for a ROM based solely on its benchmarks?
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app
I love benchmarks as a quantifiable measure of a roms performance, however, I get higher scores on some roms, but I feel liquid smooth is the snappiest performer.
I've seen this time and time again on all of my devices, with custom roms.
They should be clear indicator of performance, but they're not absolute at all.
