There are lots of requests coming for new boot animations and splash screens. But all of them can't be discussed in the themes sections.
So, I just thought of creating a thread to discuss about the latest demands in customization.
Feel free to post your ideas here. I may not be able to satisfy all of your demands, I will definitely do the most requested one.

But can you point out any pics or video on what the animation need to be like. It will be helpful.
I really liked the Royal Ginger boot animation, but have switched over to cm7 and don't really want to use the RC one with cm7. So how about modding that one so it says cm7, maybe changing colors to match, etc?

Have a look at the splash screen from the link in the OP. Is this what you expected?
Any chance on a v for vendetta combo (splash an boot)?

Is replacing the splash screen a risky proposition at all? (I mean assuming you follow the incredibly simple directions correctly)
I know switching the boot animation is easy and kind of idiot proof since it will just give you a blank screen for 10 seconds if you put in a bad file or something.
But will it boot through a bad splash screen the same way if the image file is slightly too big or corrupted or something like that?

Possible to get the boot animation that iceHD theme has for Sense 3.5? Its the blue droid guy with clockworks in it swirling and glowing. That would go so good with the Blace Ice theme for miui ics. I don't really like the ics one.

I didn't like the regular splash screen (green letters on white background), so i did some research on how I might do this and searched for a better image.
Attached is a PD98IMG.zip file which can be used to replace your splash screen image (the image that is shown first when powered on). Also attached is an image of what the new splash screen will look like.
Install it as you would any other PD98IMG file [PHONE MUST HAVE S-OFF]:
1. Place the file in the root directory of your SD card
2. Power on your phone while holding down on your side volume key
3. After a few seconds, HBOOT will detect the PD98IMG file and ask you if you want to start update
4. Press up on the volume key to install the new splashscreen
5. After update is complete, it will instruct you to press power to reboot
I haven't made an image to use to revert to the original, mainly because i think no one would want to go back to green/white after seeing the silver/black in action!
If requested, I can make an image that will revert to green/white.
I can also make custom splash screens if people are interested!
Post any questions to this thread and I will answer them promptly.
cool i like it, although ENG s-off is not required. radio s-off worked just fine for me. ENG s-off is scary, ide never try it. lol quick question, ive been looking for windows software to resize my images to 480x800 to make my own splash screens, any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have always used Photoshop, but Picasa 3 from Google will allow you to resize and crop (among other things). I just opened picasa for the first time and it actually looks pretty nice!

The bigger the resolution of the original image, the better it'll look. Regarding text, it may be best to add text to an image that is already 480x800 to keep it sharp.
The attached thumbnail has been shrunk down.... the real thing looks better. I just wanted to include the thumb so people know what they are getting.
Also, I snagged that silver/black HTC pic from another phone's forums a few days ago. I tried finding it again to give credit to whomever made it, but I couldn't find it. If anyone knows where it was originally posted, lemme know so I can credit the creator.

I'm ok with the stock boot animation, if it were colored black and silver like your splash screen, or something similar. I'm sure there is something already out there. I just haven't looked since the boot animation isn't something I see too often.

Thanks to mudknot2005, I have my boot animation. It is green HTC on black, but it looks much better than green on white and it compliments this splash screen nicely. Having removed the long AT&T boot animation now has my phone booting much faster, like it should be booting. Now to find a down animation.

Yo have to go into HBoot... Power your phone off completely... Hold the volume down while pressing the power button... The phone should see it once your in HBoot... I think you have to press volume up to load it, then reboot... Hope this helps...
If you are doing the above process and still receive error, try redownloading the file...

Unfortunately, I've done all that and double checked....anything else?
Maybe my sd card is corrupting....it has been acting really really strange, not being able to access it...but i'm not touching anything until the next CD rom gets fixed/released...too many variables (process of elimination FTW)
Here is my version of the Amazing Sense by Cypis but in Black. It is working great for me on EddyOS XE Rom so before I get the I installed it but it doesn't show up in my selection screen post, quick answer, I DONT KNOW, check with your chef.

I don't know much about making skins so I have a question about this one, which I have been using for some time. Is it difficult to make the icon pressed color different, such as FF0000 Red? Can you change the lock ring to something like a red colorized stock ring? Or one that Mohit has made for me (http://www.multiupload.com/RFN12PED2T)
I have no idea what it takes to make these changes and I don't expect you to make a custom skin for me. Just asking a favor. I like this skin because of the shape of the NavBar.

Any chance us TMO users can get a shnizlon AOSP Mod? I love the AOSP theme, comes with blue over scroll effect. Not concerned about accurate batter, just missing my little blue 4G...if you can do this the 3G icon in his v5.5 theme is grey not blue.

The T-Mobile US Sensation4G is HSPA+ capable, not LTE. We don't have the radio to use LTE, might as well call it WiMax

Hey great work. I'm irritated with the overscroll. Although it is indeed a nice touch, it's just not for me. I've looked around and could only find ways of removing the over scroll for the galaxy. Any ideas on how I go about removing it? Or could you possibly mod one without the overscroll? Thanks

Hey guys, simply put i am a noob This is my first post on these forums and i need a little help with my HTC Sensation 4G (T-Mobile, Rooted) I have searched for a similar thread but i could not find a really helpful answer. I want to change the home screen transition effects on my Sensation and i could not find how to do this. I do not want something like SPB Shell 3D because that changes the whole 'Sense 3.0' experience. I want some different transition effects on my homescreen because the outside cube effect is really boring.I want something without giving up Sense 3.0. I have already tried Anim Mod but that did not really help.

I think there is no way you can change the 3D effect and keep the sense launcher.

I don't believe there is. The only thing you can change are windows animations and transitions that have nothing to do with sense launcher 3d effect.

Oh give over, don't have a go. Some people like sense and its UI, I like it but I can also appreciate that some people don't like it but I dont go round having a go at those who prefer an alternative launcher. It's his opinion so let it be and get over it
EDIT: to answer the question, no unfortunately the cube animation cannot be changed without going to alternate launchers. If you use an alternative launcher AFAIK you won't be able to use sense widgets

There is a ROM for the sensation (I'm not sure which one) that if you are using 4ext touch recovery with the yes/no function you can choose to have the 3d effect removed, just a flat slide like in earlier sense. Hope this helps!

I was just wondering, because u still keep a LOT of sense UI if you just change the launcher.... you just loose a couple of widgets which are easily replacable... thats why i dont get it.

Hey guys, back again. Well this time i downloaded and flashed the Ultimate iPhone theme and i booted into recovery and it loads to a screen that says xiaomi.com and keeps making a piano sound and not loading. What should i do guys!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Hey Guys, i installed MIUI on Android version 2.3.7 and i tried to install Android Revolution HD and when i flashed PG58IMG.ZIP it said the model number is wrong on the bootloader screen and it won't let me get to recovery (4EXT) so I have to take the memory card out to get to recovery. Also i backed up my data, used SuperWipe, and flashed Android Revolution and restarted, my phone gets stuck on the HTC Quietly Brilliant Screen and won't boot. So then i took the memory card out an the battery out, and put it back in to get to recovery mode and i went back to MIUI.
What Should I do?

Place bootanimation file into system/customize/resource.....
I usually delete the one that's there and then replace the file....Will have a flash-able zip once here soon.

Yes everyone keeps telling me to change the text, but considering the One will be here tomorrow, not worried about it....and i have to do it right or the screen will flash white and have mental issue....some people just edit the .desc file, i don't i remake the boot from scratch to avoid issues.....which can take time to do what i want, i'll have it up here soon...(no work today)
