Hi
Getting a little confused here, right theres a couple of things that are really bugging me, one of them is the very first screen when turned on is a orange screen (the phone is unlocked and has a o2 sim in it) I would like to have this screen either in line with o2 or different. There is also one of these screens just at the end when the phone is turned off.
Now Im assuming that these screens have to be flashed, I herd the screens refered to as splash, start up, and a few other terms. Are these the splash screens or do these come later, and will flashing get rid of these screens ?
I've never flashed on this phone before, but have done on lots of other devices.
TIA

The splash screen shown on boot is flashed to the device, some ROMs here come with a splash some don't - in this case the splash that is present on your device will remain after flashing an OS only update. You can create your own splashes or extract them from other ROM packages - all the information to do this is on the forum (don't have time to give exact links, but it's there if you search).
The splash shown when the device is turned off is usually found in the \Windows folder on the device itself. On the Orange phones it's called Orange_shutdown.bmp and Orange_shutdown_L.bmp (for the landscape image).
Splash Screen flash how to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334907
1. Splash Screen.
2. Animation (You can disable this in register.)
3. Windows Mobile splash (You can edit this in Windows/welcomehead89.png (orsomething like that).
I found the option in Dutty's NBH tool packaged with Kaiser Kitchen and started making stand-alone splash screen ROMs. I wasn't aware there were 2 splash screens on the Kaiser, so I made a ROM with 2 and it worked. Now, I can't seem to figure out how to remove it. I've created ROMs with only 1 splash screen and the 2nd screen seems to stay.
Any idea how to remove it?
You cannot "remove" it. You have to add another one to make this disappear
Even though it didn't have 2 to begin with?
Hi,
The information that I have found on xda-developers about customizing the Splash Screen, Animation Screen and Windows Startup screens on my Kaiser has been very useful.
However the transition from the Splash Screen to the Animation Screen AND from the animation scren tot he Windows Startup Screen is interrupted by a screen that shows (on the bottom right hand corder) the radio version, and other related stuff.
I am wondering if there is any way to turn off what I am calling the 'radio' screen (I don't know how its officially called), so that the transition between the tree boot up screens is more natural?
Whats the name of the first bootscreen (the white screen with green HTC in it)
and can it be changed?
If so, i need the full name and where its stored.
Thanx.
The first screen after turn on phone can only be changed with flashing a new
bootscreen. For second screen with sound you find some cabs and for the welcom screen too.
Take a look here:

Ok ....thanks, I already have the second and welcome screen and now i can change the first screen into something better.
Well the whole story is as follows.
Is there a kernel or something to flash that will make the first screen black? I am talking about the screen where it says HTC Quietly brilliant. On my current galaxy this is the screen where the kernel name is shown. Is there something similar for the Sensation?
A way to bypass the white background and show just black will also do. I just want not to have the white background just after powering up the phone.

if you mean the splash screen i think you can't remove it at all
but maybe i am mistaken too
i never seen someone to mention that he removed the splash screen completely
you can change boot flash screen , boot animation and down animation check in themes and apps section..there are different boot animations along with instructions on flashing it and so is for splash screen
