Hi guys,
this can be a stupid question, because I'm kind of green in this.
My question is if it's possible to change homescreen matrix propositions with standard stock launcher?
For example in stock rom, I have stock 4x2 Sense clock with weather and 2x4 icons. Would it be possible to have the clock + 3 another lines or so?
I'm sorry in advance if there's a threat about this, but I wasn't able to find it...

Just use ADW launcher or launcher pro.
Then you can set it to 10x10 for instance
If you go with ADW launcher will you still be able to use the Sense widgets?
No, htc sense widgets will not be available, but search market and you will find lots of other whitch can be better.

I was told about LauncherPro and loving but the HTC widgets are not in the list while I am using LauncherPro, is there a way I can get the widgets on there?

Unfortunately the HTC widgets only work with the Sense UI interface and home screen. Once you use a 3rd party home program you lose the ability to add HTC Widgets. I use Helix 2 and find that the usefulness of the program outweighs the need to use HTC specific widgets.

Does anyone know of any good alternatives to the HTC clock and mail widgets, if there are any good ones, than I will definitely stick with LauncherPro.

fancy widget search it up google is your friend lol I would post it but I cant find a link but I can show you what it looks like with LAuncher PRo and the widget running

I use ADW Launcher, Beautiful Widgets, Agenda Widget, Pure Grid Calendar, Pure Messenger, Pure Music and Visual Bookmarks to replace most of the Sense widgets.

I've been curious to try out ADW Launcher. How does it compare to LauncherPro?
Nevermind. Just tried it out and I definitely prefer LauncherPro.
HelixLauncher 1 and 2 are also home replacement options

wow its awesome
jus at fast if not faster than sensui
only im lookin for a mobile data toggle widget
Switch Pro is my favorite so far.. have tried MANY others

I just modified the Power Widget that's part of this MOD as per the instructions in the thread and it works perfectly and looks better than the Switch Pro widget.
Is there anyway to get the toggle widgets, and the clock/weather onto launcher pro, instead of just the stock sense?

Purchase Beautiful Widgets ... no seriously. I don't think there's any way to put the stock HTC Clock or toggle widgets onto Launcher Pro (I'm an LP user myself), just buy BW it's pretty much identical. I think it's around $2

i believe those are morphs...gotta be rooted to use metamorph
You could do this with either ADW Launcher or LauncherPro with some text based icons and you could probably make the clock/date with Minimalistic Text Widget.

I found this mod. You can remove text under icons with it. Nothing new, ADW and Launcher Pro can do that too, but you can also remove text under icons in the app drawer! And that is awesome! I know not many people want it, but I think it's nice to have.
Only problem: it is a mod for rosie. First I didn't know what rosie was, but it is just the HTC Sense launcher. My question: can this easily be ported to another launcher, like Go Launcher EX? Or is there something that does exactly the same: removing text under icons in the app drawer? Would be awesome!

If you don't have Sense, you don't have rosie.apk, and this mod changes something within rosie.apk with metamorph. So how could it work on another launcher?

Liked the screen shots of the home pages but I can't seem to find the theme/clock for the neon clock & city clock/weather.
If you could have a quick look at the 1st screenshot http://market.android.com/details?id=org.adwfreak.launcher and tell me if you have any ideas that would be great.

What is the clock widget though?
On my G2, when I go to add a widget and select Analog Clock, that is the clock I get. I don't know what the other one is. The ROM I'm using is CM7 based Android 2.3.7
I think I have been seeing that clock since Android 2.3.3

The clock widget is the stock honeycomb analogue clock widget
