[ROM] SupererSonic v2.0 - Updated 6/16 - Apps2SD!

Note: Please look at changelog at bottom of post. I also posted a known bug list for this version at the bottom. Please read this.

Description:
Well my first Evo rom is done. It’s nothing special but it has some things none of the other roms out right now have. Basically the idea is that this is a completely working rom with no issues that I have seen (please comment if this is not the case) with some added features. One thing to also note is that I also created update zip files for the removed apps so if I removed something that you want you can easily just download the update and flash it.
Installation Instructions:
Download superersonic-signed.zip at the bottom of these instructions and copy it to the root of your sd card
Boot into recovery. Currently this is only possible by using the evo-recovery scripts created by Toast. If you don’t know what I’m talking about check out my rooting post
Perform a nandroid backup of your device
Perform a full wipe of your device (absolutely necessary. Issues will arise if this is not done)
Select flash zip and flash superersonic-signed.zip and reboot when it’s finished.

Bugs:
Apps2SD seems to be working fine however the apps I included (Rom Manager, Wifi tether, etc) don't seem to be showing after a flash. I assume this has something to do with apps2sd but am not sure. I am working on this.
Apps2SD Note:
To use apps2sd you must have an ext partition on your sd card. If you don't already just back up all your data (it will be erased), boot into recovery, go to the partition option and partition your card there. This method is from DarkTremor (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670087) so it also supports swap if you have a swap partition. After you partition your sd card apps2sd will work automatically.

only problems I found so far is.. NO widgets loaded up on first boot.. and when I load the HTC home clock it doesn't get weather.. I tried even loading it manually but no go. next is GPS seems to be on by default, i had to manually disable it..and location services are disabled for "Use Network" Kinda back-words from what stock does
and some apps aren't showing up in the market.. i.e fandango..

Im assuming you wiped everything prior to flashing correct?

The widgets not loading by default was intentional. I always end up deleting everything on the homescreens anyway so I made a clean slate for whatever ya'll want.
The GPS thing is kind of wierd. I'll see about changing that. The clock is also on 24 hour time by default. Forgot to mention that issue.
EDIT: Also for the market, try wiping your dalvik cache. That should fix it.

Stock. I have to look to see what the differences are between the roms. Once I do I will merge them.

I think the .6 added in the OTA update from sprint.

It is, but we dont exactly know what .6 did for the people who updated.

ohh geez i know what you mean.. i wish there was some sort of program that could boot us straight into recovery so that i dont need my laptop to do it.. i can download the roms from work but dont have a way to install them..

any change of getting Friend ship stream put back in or a flashable update i use it instead of the facebook app

Why not use the touch Facebook? It's much better than any app...also there is bloo I know there is a 1.5 version floating around that even has working chat.

i prefer FS touch is nice so is bloo but i like the Friendship stream

Can you post any benchmarks or something so we can see if there is a speed difference between this and the latest OTA?

Good call. If someone does a benchmark of the OTA I will do a bench of this. If not I will try to flash the OTA and then flash back to this. Best benchmark app anyone?

Hi All.
I have made this rom add-on to try to keep the device as clean and stable as possible. I could add custom boot screens, launcher (like launcher pro) and much more, but I have only added the essentials. As i think everyone has different tastes and the extras are easily installed. I have chosen to use the software tool which is part of the stock firmware, this insures easy installation on any os. No usb recovery drivers or clockwork mod needed!

I highly recommend launcher pro, its available from the market. It is a lot better than the stock launcher, and the payed for version has some great widgets.
Button savior, also available from the market. Is also for me a must for the vega, it adds the missing buttons as on-screen buttons.
This V3 update is more of a clean up. There was a lot of confusion over the multiple .rar parts and some compatibility issues with v1.10 POV firmware. I have now removed the small taskbar and added it as a update, so now my rom add-on is fully compatible with the pov firmwares and does not require multiple .rars. Advent firmware users who want the small taskbar, simply flash the Small_Taskbar.zip. If you have already installed my v2 version there is no need to update, as i said its more of a clean up. There are a few added apps, but they are easily installed.
Install Instructions:
1 - Download the .zip you wish to flash. Copy the .zip to "software update" on your SDcard.
2 - Navigate to settings/software tool/software update on vega, and touch the .zip
3 - Device will reboot and a "out of a box" android will appear and install the parts.
You will not lose any of your apps/data from this process.
Please make sure you have sufficient power to apply Add-On, i would recommend 50%
Root Instructions:
Root is required for some apps. Eg Button savior requires this for it to function fully.
1 - Open visionary
2 - Touch "Temproot now" the screen will go blank for a few seconds and return to the visionary page. Then click it again. (i have no idea why it is required to do this twice, but in my experience it is necessary)
3 - Touch "Attempt Permroot now" After a few seconds a super user prompt will appear, allow the prompt. Then device will reboot and it should be rooted.
If Flash does not work, navigate to /etc/shuttle_data and run the flash.apk. That will reinstall the included flash version.
If all apps are not showing in the market please follow ice-mn tip. Many thanks to him for this.

2. Press the running tab and select market (if market is not running execute it)

Press Clear Data (answer ok on the message warning)
Press Force Stop
5. Try to run Market. You will get an error message.
6. Reboot the device and run market twice (the first one you will get the error message again).

EDIT:I have added the flash.apk to enable flash, visionary to fully root the device and spare parts to disable compatibility mode for games to the attachments.

Which part is it hanging on, once run the device should reboot, then a picture of a box with a arrow appears, and the progress bar bellow turns orange. I have flashed this and different versions with no problems.

I will take a look at that, thanks. Hopefully i will add a updated one over the weekend.

Once i selected the update zip the screen dimmed but didnt reboot - no picture of the green box. would you suggest i power off and retry?

sounds like nothing has been flashed, yeah try powering the device back on and trying again.

Ok i've restarted the vega but iv've come back to the dimmed screen..any ideas?

Any ideas why I can't see most of my apps in the marketPlace

I am looking at that now. It only looks like a few apps are not showing. Not to sure why, i have tried changing the market files but no go.

Thats very odd. I have re-flashed 4 different versions in the last 10 mins with no problems. Try to hold the power button down for six seconds to totally shut down. Plug the device into the power. Then try a reboot. If that does not work then you are going to have to go into recovery and re-flash the stock rom. Sounds like the flash got interrupted for some reason.

Many thanks, I re-installed the stock rom after putting it into recovery. I tried the market updater again and it worked no problem. Thinking about it now I was on low battery so that why it might not have worked 1st time round..

Is there any way to revert back to large notification bar? It does look good but It's a little too small for me.

Thx vmcms. I used framework.jar and framework-res.apk from vmcms's thread in v4. I learn from the files.
After flash:
- wipe cache
- wipe delvik cache
- widgets must be readded with the new Home
Troubles?
- in case of trouble with FB:
--- go on http://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=applications and remove all xperia releated aplications, the phone will ask for permition again - thx Zulea for try and confirm solution
--- remove all facebook accounts from phone, reboot and add again
- in case of trouble with contacts - FB contacts doubled - Make sure you dont use contacs in phone but with the google account. Then go to Setting/Apps/Manage apps/All and delete data for Contact Storage. This will remove all contact in your phone. Then reboot and let the phone to sync and download all contacts again.
- in case of stuck at SE boot logo: reboot
Port also works well on Wolfbreak v6. Read this and this.
On WB v6 DLNA application FC - solution go into system/app and reinstall DLNA.
If you have xlaud and bravia flash this.
I used files from newest ROM 4.0.1.A.0.283 in the zip.

New versions will come slow, sorry. I dont have many time now and need to do other things. I started this instead of asking for that - because no one other did. I just wanted the new keybord on the begin... I dont have proper knowledges to provide real support. Im going to improve my knowledges in this craft, which is not "three days task". This file contains:
-x10i 2.3.3 stock system apps it will overide almost all stock aps!
-x10i 2.3.3 stock framework except framework.jar and framework-res.apk....
ALL IN ONE FILE INTENDED FOR STOCK 2.3.3 HERE
THEN INSTALL THIS FIX 3 FILE

I'm testing, it seems to work, Ive been able to share an app to facebook, I continue to test----

Ok, using for few minutes
- app share works
- media discovery etc. works
- music works
- widgets works
Some little issues: it is still asking for permissions (Facebook Inside Xperia) and Running Services FC

player works fine
FC with Timescape when trying to update events: closes com.sonyericsson.eventstream.extensions
in appshare app: my apps: connection error (i have french version so i translate about)
in account and sync: i have problem of sync for facebook inside xperia : only the with ALBUM

Is screen capture included?

Remove all fb accounts, go to appmanager, show all aps, remove all manualy. installed fb applications showed as updates, delete data for all fb releated apps, reboot and try to add account again... I think still is. Mixed FB1 and FB2. It maybe shows double fb accounts in your accounts.

EDIT: I removed personnal account: sync seems ok, still problem with timescape widget, im not sure which version I have: I see on the widget update and status above timescape widget

I hope yes. Its mixed in the zip not only in your phone. I played with the accounts and now it is working... I had repeated requests too when I removed accounts.

in app manager, there is only facebook 1.7.1 facebook extension 2.0.12 and semcfacebookproxy, widget timescape 3.0.1
so it must be eventstream apks ?
EDIT: I think I see a bit: I have timescape 0.9.6 the app, not the widget. and I guess it should be timescapeSpline 1.0.21 but if i install this it's getting worst

for all: delete /system/app/SEMCFacebookService.apk This file is not necessary anymore

I did it now
I have timescape 0.9.6 by the way
still FC in the widget
and still connection error in app-share app
EDIT: keyboard works great
for me it's not urgent anymore with facebook, relax !

I can confirm that you can remove SEMCFacebookService.apk it's not needed, and because of it you get constantly prompted for FB login.
I didn't try this, but installed everything with old methods, and removed SEMCFacebookService.apk before loging in FB for first time.

so about the fix1, i didnt change for me, it was messy to sync again
the game/app app, it works half: the tab popular and recent work, but the tab myapps doesnt work well, sometimes connection error, only once it has worked, i clicked on all the tabs and it worked.
i have french version menu and tab may have other names...
im gonna check for timescape

So i made an AROMA Installer, using Aroma App Package Creator , which i can use after flashing a new rom, like i reflash GAPPS ...

For which device is this tool ?

I made a little package with apps mentionned (that's why suggestions are wlecomes, if some could be added ), but you could try to put your own in, if you want. Or trying the tools i used before "Aroma app package creator".
I'm working on a dynamic online aroma creator, PHP based. You should be able to put your apk, and generate your own package ...
But not ready yet

The advantage of AROMA is to have a visual and make a choice of what app you want to install.
So you have to modify it to see your app in the list, and managed to select them for installation.
Or you could just add some lines code which will automatically install some apps, without prompting ... but better way to make a flashable zip instead of an AROMA installer if you have nothing to select

Will test it tomorrow when I reflash my rom. Tested so many apps, icons and themes, it's nearly full of crap :good:

Hi,
Like i said in first post, i used Aroma App Package Creator, to make my fisrt package, and see how it works.
After that, i made some modifications in the aroma-config file to had some features, changed the update-binary-installer file for one worked fine with our sensi.
So you can extract the zip linked, and add your apps in data, and changed some lines in aroma-config. there are some comments in this file, it could be easy to know where changes have to be done.
But i'm looking for the best way, to allow people to add in their own apps ... without making some dirty modifications directly in thoses files
i also said that i'm creating an online tool, which allow everybody to make it own aroma package, with apps they wanted into. But not ready yet.
For your apps, Facebook, is already in, i think i could add MX player ...
Most important i think is ES Files Explorer, which allow you to install other apps from your SD
For the others, if there are many suggestions about the same apps you wanted in, i will add them

[ROM][AROMA][CM7/CM9]Omicrom v1 for Vodafone 858 - 22.03.2013

This ROM is built for Vodafone 858/Huawei U8160 - It may work on other phones, I don't care.
ROOT + RECOVERY INSTALL HELP HERE...(my own method)
After I relese Omicrom v1.1, if after 24'hours I don't get 100 downloads in total, I pass this project to anyone else who has time developping. I am working for a cause and I need money donated...
The idea of the ROM is very simple:
Let's say you get bored of stock and root you phone and download a 100 mb JellyBean ROM, but you find it useless and download another 100 mb ICS ROM. You get bored of it and download, let's say MiUI. And so on. A lot of wasted time. I decided to make a package of ROMs so, in case you get bored of one, you simply reboot in recovery and flash the other one. But,my package isn't like downloading two .zips and putting them on SDcard, it's more than that. I took the best ROMs out there, tweaked them for more performance and added some options to flash along the ROMs (for the first release just launchers, more to come)
First off, I want to thanks the people/developers who made this possible:
-Brokn.Down for his CM7 base and for helping me out with the updater-script;
-ylynka, my friend, for testing the ROM as I don't have the phone avalaible;
-ReloadedICS for an awesome app;
-xda for hosting the thread;

a wake lock, preventing the phone from sleeping. Turn off Bluetooth when you don't need it.
FM Radio - no CM9 radio app yet exists, but libaudio has support included. This means that some third-party apps (e.g. Spirit FM) can work.
Gallery - after installing Google Apps, you will have two different Gallery apps installed. We need to use the legacy Gallery app, because the newer Gallery2 (and Google's version, GoogleGallery) requires OpenGL extensions that our phone cannot support. You are free to delete one of the duplicate applications from /system/app using CMFileManager (in root mode).
Trebuchet - after first installation, the default background wallpaper may be misaligned, leaving some black banding at the sides. This only occurs on first start, and the problem will correct itself on the next reboot / relaunch of Trebuchet.
USB tethering - the phone will freeze if you remove the cable during tethering. Make sure to disable tethering via the menu option manually when you want to remove the phone from the computer.

For CM9 - launchers, mini gapps and ReloadedICS (if you do not want to participate in telling me if app works or not and want a stable system, don't flash this while it is beta)

---Installing ChainFire3D Gaming MOD---
0. Before starting, you should know that I am not responsible for any damage of your phone. Before this process, take 10 minutes to backup the ROM in case the process goes wrong. This is still under testing, report any bugs, etc.
1.Download modded apk and plug-ins (mediafire) and unzip it in a folder on the root of SD-Card
2.Download Chainfire3D from PlayStore (the free version, you can support devs later)
3.Open Chainfire3D and install the driver, then reboot
4.After reboot, uninstall Chainfire3D.
5.Install modded apk provided, then open it (SU rights needed)
6.Then close Chainfire3D and open it again from PlayStore
7.Close it and quick reboot (with ROM Toolbox maybe)
8.After quick reboot you must reboot (normal)! After reboot you can't open Chainfire3D (that's normal) that's why you must reinstall Chainfire3D (modded apk)! Then you open Chainfire3D and install the plug-ins. After this you must fix the Market Settings then you must reboot
9. That’s it. You must tweak each game to work as you wish: smooth and HD.
10. Support CF3D devs!
INSTALLING V6 SUPERCHARGER BY ZEPPELINROX
1. Download this script.
2. Flash busybox found here.
3. Install Script Manager. (search on Google PlayStore)
4. Load script into Script Manager (Run As Root - the skull and crossbones icon which turns green when selected)
5. Follow instructions/user prompts & select what you want
6. Reboot & Enjoy "fast" and "multitasking".
7. Press Thanks at zeppelinrox page.

I have tested it now and it goes into aroma. Try downloading it again, it may be a bad download.

Ok, I get it. The bootloop is caused by aroma which does not support the command to retouch the binaries. So I created the first fix with this command and the second fix to reset te build.prop, but as I can see it does not work. My friend told me that he booted ICS from aroma so I will ask him how he did it.
Anyway, tomorrow, 24th March, I will release a new version, with more options than release 1. So, just use CM7 till then. I will try to fix the bug!

I haven't got ICS yet, and I haven't got any more ideas what to put inside AROMA..if you give me ideas, I will mare a 1.3 version. Moreover, if anyone could fix ICS, I'd be grateful.
