[Q] Best Non Sense ROM

Guys what is the best aosp rom so far. In terms of speed and abscence of bugs?

I think Saga LBC Mod and Virtuous Unity Miui has the best looking UI n faster but lots of bugs

yep. MIUI is the best for now.
ZuluGen is great too, also i LOVE Hydrogen
but you should go for MIUI.

MIUI is one of the best, bugs are minimal.

I have been using Cyanogenmod for a while now. I have found it to be really stable. The latest version (NeoLojik's v1.0.2) has much improved battery life and all the configurability of CM.

Using ZuluGen now. Got no bugs at all since I used it.
Battery life is also very well. And it based on CM7.
By the way, need to install some application to use T9 keypad.
Overall, very superb.

I can 100% agree with runagate17. I switched from Stock Rom 1.47 to this CyanogenMod and it feels like having a new device in terms of speed. I encountered no stability problems yet. You can also apply a sense theme, if you need some eye candy.

ZuluGen also based on CyanogenMod, so, can totally agree with you too.

I think all are becoming quite mature with minimal bugs. Just have to try each one and see which you like the most.

Well, in my opinion your decision shouldnt be about who is faster or who is not. all non sense roms here ( at least miui, cm and zulu) works fast as hell.
The idea is the gui, zulu have a really nice gui that looks and fells like android, cm have a pretty standard android gui and miui have a more ios look
Your choice!

MIUI and ZuluGen from my experience.
Both have great battery life and minimal bugs.
It's most likely a choice of which one you like the feel of most.

Agreed! MIUI is a great rom, and is very fast! just takes a bit of getting used to as its completely different to sense!

im not really into the MIUI interface

Theory of why we don't have sense 3.5 or cm7

The mytouch 4g slide specs are too powerful. In the interest of sales and the economy, the government is forced to limit development on this perfect piece of hardware. If we had cm7 or sense 3.5 with gpu UI rendering (harware acceleration)... People would be so happy with their phone that they would not buy a new one, ever again...

You might want to also try undeads absolution. Its pretty nice and basically has all the kanged cm has plus a couple fixes and debloated some more which is always a good thing.
On a side note you might want to give undeads senseless ROM a try as he's got a good bit of cm stuff mixed in to keep it interesting if you want to keep the TV out and good awesome sense camera and 1080p video and not have a bunch of useless crap the stock room had in it. Actually I recommend it at this current moment as cm is great but at the expense of losing a couple of the premium qualities (camera,TV out) of this phone??

It's basically an alpha...
It's a nice start...but the kernel in it will murder your battery. There are some market issues as well as keyboard glitches.
Here's a list posted of issues by the OP
The current buglist:
- Recording in HD Video is limited to 720p currently.
- Camera zoom is limited to 2X.
- Certain browser issues, such as reported crashes and flash 11 movie compatibility issues. (CyanogenMod).
For the most part you might be better off sticking to Undeadk9's Senseless for now..... Might want to hold off till Sunday Undeadk9's got something to share.

Haven't noticed anything particularly bad with battery consumption. Not as good as my Vision, but WAY better than Doubleshot STOCK.

Browser "issues" easily corrected through the use of a REAL BROWSER, aka FIREFOX.
The other issues with the camera... less than significant.

[ROM][BUILD 3][19/11/2011] Unofficial Oxygen 2.3.2 port for the Desire HD/Inspire 4G

Now that the sound problem is fixed, I figured I might as well post it here..
OXYGEN FOR THE DESIRE HD/INSPIRE 4G - SLEEK AND FAST (UNOFFICIAL)​
This is basically a mix of some CyanogenMod commits and device files that have been merged to the Oxygen tree, so all credits go to them. It is very fast! See for yourself..
Oxygen is based on AOSP and very lightweight. It incorporates several fixes and additions from other ROMs. I find it to be a good balance between AOSP and patches.
Be aware that this is a very early build. Bugs, severe ones, are to be expected and I would really appreciated if you reported them. Of course, positive feedback is just as well appreciated.

Been running this rom for almost a day now. And its seems really fast and smooth. And its very light weight. I havnt had single problem with it yet.

Sadly, I can't use this, or any CM based rom (outside of Miui) due to status bar issues. I have, err, a problem. I can't stand the density above 160 dpi lol. Yes, it may be tiny to some, but it's perfect for me. The problem is though, that text gets all sorts of jumbled/streaked on the status bar with the density so low. I know it's a CM issue, just frustrating.
This rom works amazingly well for the brief time I used it. Only thing would really be no volume rocker wake, and a couple of cm settings being missing. I assume these features were ditched to make it more light weight. Overall great job. Sound works mint on the Inspire now

The beam like lock animation.

Battery life not so good on this Rom. Phone almost dead after 4 hours. Couple of checks on Facebook and twitter. Few YouTube videos. Now almost dead. Seems like and extremely large drain.

Try removing facebook app. I've read of issues with latest version.

Great ROM!!!
Of all the different AOSP ROMs I've tried this is definitely the fastest. Even after loading all my apps it didn't lose but a fraction of the smoothness when scrolling. (about 80 apps...I don't know if that's a lot compared to other users.)
I noticed that after install my file system changed to ext4. I had changed it back to ext3 when I left Android Revolution. Is that normal?

It's a recompilation of the CM kernel, which is why I left the -cm in the version string

this ROM is FAST!!!

This ROM is fast! I was missing my ring lockscreen, so I added MagicLocker with the Sense 3 ring lockscreen and now it's perfect! Thanks very much!!

I would really love to see an AOKP version based on Kangs rom. I am in love with the Rom Control settings, they totally make or break a rom for me, personally. (For ICS anyway.)

Does this have huge ass wakelock issues like juice defender does? Seems pretty neato if it doesn't!

O also from lordclocken rom his ICS kernels. I flash the CFS v9.4.1 just testing to see any difference with the Bfs I usually go with CFS for usage and battery

I saw the Theme Chooser was included in your builds for the Desire from your FAQ. Is the Theme Chooser in the Sensation builds as well?
Other than that, is this ROM pretty much stock JB framework with some tweaks? Or is this a complete overhaul of the base JB code?

This rom does have theme chooser and its basically stock aosp 4.2.1 with minor minor tweaks so far like just battery percentage and rotation display

Only things not working so far after some testing is Wifi and USB tethering. They turn on but does not connect.
Wifi signal with tethering on also very low.
For the rest, everything seems to be working fine so far Great job!
