HELLO, GOOD EVENING, FORUM:
I hope someone can help me in this.
I bought this phone HUAWEI GR3 TAG-L13 TELCEL branded from my country, México, in a monthly plan, which I think is engaging.
It seems to me an excellent device, of course, with some deficiencies, but in attempting to root with SuperSu I left it in an eternal bootloop.
Tried, unsuccessfully, remove it from that state by several methods. I looked up, like many other users, as I saw on Google, tirelessly for many days without getting any method...
The official website of Huawei does not offer any firmware for this device in the country and telephone carrier; there is simply NO official firmware for it!, only the OPEN SOURCE, on which is must compile the firmware, knowledge that the user basic not have about the topic. As a result it is impossible to reinstall the operating system specific for this device, not until Huawei releases compiled firmware (UPDATE.APP, UPDATE.ZIP).
In the end, I resorted to the method described in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/andr...oy-5s-t3433527
This method really works, I have recovered my device and operate, although under the operating system of the carrier TIM (the only download found, as explained in the post mentioned, but is for the specific device TAG-L22, being my own TAG-L13 device operated by Telcel); However, I am determined to fully restore my device to use the functions [IMEI and SIM non-operating loss] and [plan] benefits of my carrier.
I have not resorted to my carrier's Service Center for obvious reasons.
So I come to this forum, of which I hope to get some help, this consisting of that any user of this service have the same device in Mexico and have make a back or attempt to successfully backup your operating system HUAWEI GR3 (TAG-L13) (TELCEL MEXICO - C17B103) ANDROID 5.1, EMUI3.1 [which must be and it has left the factory, i.e. without modifications, or make a previously hard reset], It is required to install recovery Team Win Recovery Project, TWRP, (explained in the same post linked above) and make a TWRP backup or the method Online Nandroid.
NOTE:
If you want to ROOT the device, BE CAREFUL:
SuperSu caused the problem of bootloop on my device, by that, alternatively, install the root of KingRoot_4.9.6_APKTrunk.apk to the device if necessary, or find any other method in Google, and must BE CAREFUL with this part, to avoid the dreaded bug bootloop. For this reason I RECOMMEND STRONGLY to TWRP INSTALL and perform the corresponding BACKUP BEFORE performing any other operation on the device, if is arrived at require reinstalling the same for any problems, included this bootloop.
The objective of this request is that user who has made or makes the suggested backup or have full operating system intact to raise that much-needed support from the operating system to this forum to do the recovery of my device.
I have found these ways to create a file update.zip to flash the operating system suitable to my device; therefore I require this endorsement, which motivates me to write this request to the Forum, waiting for any possible help.
I am infinitely grateful first attention to this request, and of course, the positive response to it; and reward to the possible favorable support of Forum, I commit myself to upload it this .zip file with the corresponding guidelines or referrals for help from someone who had the same problem.
Thank you sincerely.
.D.: Have uploaded or will upload this request to others forums in hopes of a prompt solution. I offer an apology for my bad English.
Hi
I'm from Mexico too and have the same problem with same model and carrier TAG-L13 Telcel ... I can't found rom and even try 2 or 3"custom roms" like that thread TIM image .... with that the device works but there's no signal ( No sim detected and no Imei info )
I think maybe if install xposed and change IMEI maybe carrier would recognize it but not ....
I'll continue searching and wait to respond from forum member's too
I really hope someone can help us
Note:Even tried to ask Huawei's service and the only answer they gave me was " Send it to Service Center , wait 1 month or more and of course we will charge you "
P.D. Sorry for my bad english too XD
Regards

I spend the same friend and I could finally solve the original rom Telcel, everything works 100% I leave the link of the official website, I hope you serve like me. The recovery process is from the stock if your computer does not start or follow the instructions in the PDF that comes in the folder that is generated when you unzip the file, greetings.

hi all! actually i am having a strange problem with my j700h mtk6572 china device.the problem appeared first when i tried to install custom rom on my china device which failed giving me a broken android device.what next was that i flashed a wrong rom with sp flash tool and then the condition got even worse that from then onward i wasnt able to even boot..so i kept struggling to find the exact rom for my android..
when i was failed completely i decided to go to the mobile phone shopfrom there i bought an exact simmilar china phone and readback its rom with sp flash tool and mtk droid tool and when i flashed this rom the sp flashed tool started to flash it (this indicated it is the compatible rom because sp flash tool didnt found an issue).after when the phone booted up,...
strange boot scenarios after flash
the phone shows nothing on screen, its completely pitch black.
i can hear the boot sounds.
power key and volume keys are responding
while chaarging the flash led glows
some additional info about my device
the back flap removed shows me behind the batter the following specs
model_ sm j700h/ds
fcc id_ a3lsmj700h
ssn_ j700h/dsgsmh
rated 3.8v 2600mA
(there is a sticker of some farooq mobile, may be the distributor or developer.)
internel features
i remember once i opened the about section that showed itself j700f
the internel memory was 16gb
before by first hard reset the seemed to be android lollipop but after first hard reset onward the phone had a kitkat lock screen.
i even checked some recovery files manually that shows some files etc indicating sm-g530f
.
the nutshell problem
keeping all the scenarios in mind a came to the conclusion that nothing is wrong with rom because sp flash allowed it.
the issue is not confined to some screen attachments or driver because it dont even connect to my pc(just gives some two unformated partitions dissapear and reappear when i connect with pc using my cable).
i request you all if there is some official or developer who knows about china devices to please cooporate, as i am dead tired with this condition.and i made xda id just to post this thread...
any help will be highly appreciated.

Hello
On the sticker it shows it as j700h and inside the device it's j700f?
Hard reset doesn't downgrade the frimware
And you said some tools indicate IRS g530f?

@HoPe thanks for replying.
You got a point here,I am starting to ponder over it..actually about smg530f I am not sure,I don't remember exactly.what I am sure of is that I flashed the exact ROM and still its not working, and secondly that the lock screen style turned to KitKat 4.4 style when I did factory reset..I wanna know that, is there any thing apart from ROM files that I need to flash, like display drivers, imei etc..can I do a hardware replacement of emmc.
What partitions loads the hardware components like display.sdcard etc.
Any help is appreciated in advance..

Hello, so far i don't think this device is reversible since it seems to be a rebuilt device -modifed-, the hardwares and imei are changed. this explains why the black screen popped, better buy a new device so far or maybe
@Droidriven would you check it out ?

If it says J700H on the sticker(I'm assuming you mean the sticker behind the battery), but says J700F in system settings. That could be for a few reasons but it more than likely started out originally as J700H. Here are the possible reasons the numbers aren't matching:
1) the device is a J700H but has been flashed with J700F firmware.
2) The device was originally a J700H but now has a J700F motherboard for whatever reason.
3) The device could have originally been a J700F but has had the casing replaced with the casing from a J700H.
One way to know for sure is to open the device and inspect the motherboard for the model number that is stamped on it.
Edit: Nevermind, you don't actually have a device that is anything, it's not a J700H or a J700F. You have a cloned(fake) device.
There are no stock firmwares for clones that you can just download and flash. The cloned devices have firmware that has been hacked together from other devices, they don't actually have firmware that is their own.
I wouldn't waste my time on this cheap fake want-to-be Samsung crap. You're going to end up chasing your tail trying to manually put a firmware together for the device. Rest assured, you're gonna have to build it yourself if that's what you need, you probably won't find anything that can be flashed as is without making some modifications.
Next time, don't buy a cloned device, they aren't worth it, I don't care if they only cost $2, it still isn't worth it.
If you want a decent device then go buy one, don't buy a device that is pretending to be a decent device. When you try to be cheap, you get EXACTLY what you pay for. Stop robbing yourself.

@Droidriven @HoPe thank buddies for getting to my thread and properly responding..I am very grateful to y,all.actually that $30 clone is not my interest any more.
the day I hardbroked my mobile and the next day I bought the same from the same mobile shop (that too is China fake and is in working condition.) What seems interesting to me is that my older device is not booting even with a firmware of its own kind which I read back from the new j700h!..I wish I could get hands on that Chinese developer who is both a genious and an idiot....!!

This must be because the IMEI that you have is originally from a i9500 S4 then it was written onto the device you have because it either had no IMEI or it did have an IMEI but was blacklisted or was not a valid IMEI for whatever reason.

It wouldn't surprise me if the two devices you had are completely different at the hardware level, they probably don't have the same components so they can't use the same firmware.
Hello all,
I got a ZTE Grand X view 2 (K81) tablet from virgin Mobile in Toronto, Canada and I have the sim locked to my imei number. I would like to root this tablet so I can remove unnecessary applications. It is slow as it has <1gb and the internal memory is 8gb. So far the one click root apps I have tried (kingroot, iroot) don't work. What are other options I have for this device?
It is running Android 7.1.1 with the June 1, 2017 security patches
Thanks Karl

One-click root apps won't work. You either go the Magisk patched boot way or Custom recovery + Magisk / SuperSU zip.
What's your phone's chipset?

Honestly I don't really know what the chipset is. From CPU-X, here are some more details:
Cpu: cortex-a7 snapdragon 210, 1.1ghz x 4
Board: Helen
Hardware: qcom
Model: K81
Brand/manufacturer: zte
Bootloader: unknown

Its Qualcomm. To root, you'll need either stock boot.img or recovery.img. Do you have the firmware for your model?

I don't have that yet, I will need to search for that. My SD card is currently set as an internal, not portable, is that a problem? Is there a way to copy the current boot.img or recovery.img from a running system? I have installed magisk manager, I just need to get a hold of the boot or recovery files

Have you had any luck finding firmware for this device.... i need to frp bypass mine as i bought it online and am left in a predicament now... The keyboard doesn't allow to access any settings so getting through the FRP part is an issue... no way to downgrade the firmware either because it is running 7.1 . I also can't find custom recoveries anywhere i look online.... if you have some insight or a solution please let me know.

Not yet, I switched my SD card back to portable and tried to look around the system using adb shell without any luck. The system is locked down tight and I don't have permission to view most directories. I also contacted ZTE for the recovery img, they thought I was talking about backing up photos
I have same tablet from virgin mobile Canada. I have solid explorer, and it allows me to have root file access out of the box. I deleted bloat apks, was gtg. Not sure if it's normal behavior. I was shocked to see root file system out of the box. P.S any developers that a full system dump would help, I can probably do. After more poking around, I don't have full root access, but I do have read/write to system folder with build.prop etc

I just downloaded and installed solid explorer and the classic versions. Not luck viewing the / file system. If you can get the boot file and post a link to it that would be helpful for the magisk rooting method.
-I was able to use a google account manager app and downloaded/installed qucik_shortcut_2.4.0 this allows you access the launcher and partially use this device... I was able to set the username of the device but to no avail i am unable to use that combo to strip out the previous user's information. there's a method online to show you how to use the talkback settings to get to this point and i used my knowledge of frp bypassing samsung devices to get a little further. the developer options setting is still locked because it doesn't recognize me as the primary user. Its very frustrating. I'm able to sign into chrome with my credentials and access gmail through the browser but as far as getting my account onto this device its been days of trying and my girlfriend is just disgusted with my persistence. I don't know if or when an oreo update will be made available that this will help solve the problem, but i can't believe zte doesn't have the stock firmware anywhere online.
any of you fellow nerds out there that can help please do... I use an S3 for my daily use because well, they're so amazing to customize but the battery is crap because its so old. One thing i have found is with this zte you can at least play the "catch the cat" easter egg game, which is a complete waste of time but fun at the same time.
I'm not sure if this will help but i might as well. I'm also stuck with a zteK81 i'd REALLY love to root. I never had to go really deep into android stuff so tbh ... i've read alot ... but beside knowing i can't root it yet after a couple diff. method... im a bit confuse in all that. Up here i read ppls about looking for the Firmwire and someone else searching for the root. I have pull some pretty deep layer files in mine that may .. may not help you guys. I can't read that correctly. Here's 3 images and i have a little 7z with the actual files and 3-4 more if someone request it. Thanks.

I have a copy of the stock ROM. Who knows how to use it to develop a custom recovery for the K81?
Continued Interest
Is there any interest in rooting the ZTE K81?
Currently, I have a copy of the stock ROM and am trying to modify update.zip using Magisk to mod the boot.img file. I heed help with the signing of the modified update.zip package.
Any Suggestions?
There's no way of flashing an unsigned rom?

Sadly, no.
Difficulties
To date I have found no way to even perform the OEM Unlock on this device and none of the available rooting schemas are of any use.
If I cannot determine how the sing the modified update.zip file, I am out of ideas.
I have a copy of the ZTE stock rom for the K81 and, if there is a more experienced person willing to take a shot at this, I will happily make the rom available to them.

Hello, so it is common that ZTE's don't have any form of fastboot. So your only way is to flash via QPST with a firehose. But today is your lucky day. I was able to extract the k81's firehose from the Rogers ZTE firmware flashing tool. I have also downloaded the full QPST firmware fire and included the firehose with it. As well as a separate download in case someone already has it. I will also be ordering the device shortly. If you have newer firmware, or one designed for a variant other the rogers would be great if you can share it.

Where do you get or how do you create the rawprogram0.xml file. Presumably the directory structure information is available somewhere in the kernel or the ROM but, methods to extract the information into an XML evade me.

Hello, Community
I have a big problem and need your help. i have a Motorola Moto E7 Power (XT2097-6) MT 6762V/WB Mediatek Helio P22 and i was a idiot and format my phone in flashing process. The Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant Tool downloaded for me a newer Stock Rom SKU XT2097-16 version for my Smartphone and extra a SP Flashing Tool. That was the first problem by a official Company. btw.: I was a Noob and the company give me a powerful tool to destroy my phone.... --> The extra downloaded Flashing Tool was the problem and make me much problems! I started the Downloaded Sp Flashing Tool, Select the Downloaded Rom and select Formal all + Download because i want a clean install. That means I lost also my certificate, IMEI number and got a permanetly text print with "carrier invalid" as GUI on (left corner) Screen. Now I can't no more make phone calls or connect to the internet + find no Wlan because my certificate and IMEI are deleted! Everyone says that if you root you will lose your guarantee, but no one says that you will not be able to make phone calls or use the internet because the IMEI number will be deleted. First as Noob, i don't unterstood was IMEI is. Now i can feel the pain. The exaggerated security of the new hardware in Smartphones was completely new to me because my last smartphone was a Samsung GT-S5360, which could be rooted without any problems. Pls accept for now the official factory moto stock rom and wait. I could repair my Hard Brick Phone but not my IMEI number. I have learned. Do not flash with the Smartphone if no solution are available for your phone. Do not try everything! What can i now doing? 1. Contact my Shop Support, 2. Contact the Motorola/Lenovo Support or 3. go to a Mobil GSM Repair Shop to repair the IMEI with very much luck/hope the ability to repair the phone or 4. A useful free tool exist for my phone modell to fix this? Do I still have a guarantee? My Smartphone is not Rooted. The Lenovo Community is useless and give me no answers with my problem. What can i now doing? ...

People just can't fix your horrible mistakes so they are useless?
And you blame Lenovo for offering a powerful tool while you don't know how to use it?
It's like you buy a gun and shoot in your foot and then you blame the manufacturer!
The first thing you need to do is learning basic formatting because it's not easy to read your long post.
Secondly, the IMEI is the most sensitive component of a phone and it's often abused on stolen phones by changing the board chip (for example) or by using "professional" flashing tools that you don't find on internet.
I don't think that people can help you unless you go to a very specialized phone technician who is willing to restore the IMEI at an affordable price which would still be higher than the price you paid for the phone!

Dear all,
I've been chasing on every single website for a XML firmware of Samsung J415G.
Apparently the only way is using QFIL to flash the main boot.
Does anyone have that kind of firmware? The firmware could be "Flat build" or "Meta build" or a ".mbn" file.
Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately, most manufacturers do not make these files available. If they did, I'd be able to recover my bricked Pixel 2.

Shame on them!
I've tried so many things...
There are many paid """solutions""" out there. I am afraid it would not help either.

And a lot of it is snake oil, honestly. I do think there needs to be a bigger market for de-bricking, but most OEMs and repair centers don't bother attempting low level flashing; they just replace the mainboard, after programming it with the original IMEI.

Exacty. I totally agree with you.
And because of this, tons of smartphones become a garbage. Often not worth repairing. I think is a waste.
I just found a list of firehose files, organised by brand. It might help someone out there:

And another list of Qualcomm Prog eMMC Firehose file:

PS: None of those files worked on the device J415G.
Yeah, those lists are barely organized and no information is provided. I would assume you'd need one corresponding to your SoC but I'm not sure.
