Can we work with sourcecode of ICS? - Galaxy S Plus I9001 Android Development

Yesterday the sourcecode of Android 4.0.1 was published by Google. Can the devs here alreaY work with this? It would be nice if Cranium ROM or CM could be based on ICS in the future

CM9 is already coming, as Cyanogen wrote on twitter.
Code:
cyanogen cyanogen
..and we're off. check back in 2 months :) #cm9 #ics
http://twitter.com/#!/cyanogen
I think it will come pretty fast, until this I'm gona try to build a testbuild with ics.

But will CM9 come for Samsung Galaxy S Plus as well?

its pointless if those are not for S+

Why should this be pointless?
You can port this then self after they released it, if the SGS+ won't be a official release.
My HTC HD2 has also no official support from cyanogen and still so much roms from other devices and CM7 has been ported to it.

offcial CyanogenMod for i 9105p

Good evening..
Will there be an official CyanogenMod 10.1.0 for the Samsung galaxy S2 plus [i9105p]?
Thanx
Hi geisha508,
I don't think CM will support the device yet. If the unofficial build is well tested and fulfills the requirements (read about them at http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_Submitting_A_Port) it may be possible.
thanks for the link ...
I hope that maybe it still works.
would be a shame because the phone is really good.
from samsung it will probably be no Android 5.0 if we are lucky maybe 4.2

Android 4.3 Jellybean

As reading from an article from Android Police, SamMobile has gotten a pre-release build of Jellybean 4.3.. This build has now been ported to the Galaxy S 4 (GT-i9505).. As for the users. Please do not ask if this can be ported. It can't right now. We don't even have CM10.1 (which one day we will of course). Just wanted to share this

I think sami doesnt support anymore us. But u can install stock 4.2.2. Or cyanogenmod...as custom rom
Sent from my GT-P5110 using Tapatalk
I think that it will be more difficult even to have a fully functional cyanogenmod because of the changes in the surfaceflinger...TI is out of the market so we won't get further official support i guess...See Galaxy nexus also...
Impossible to have an Official 4.4 update, but I don't doubt that we'll have an stable and fully functioning 4.4 via CyanogenMOD.
but our device is fully capable of running 4.4.x .. this is unfair thats y i dont go for any sammy devices

Our device can run PURE 4.4 smoothly, but Samsung adds crap (aka Touchwiz) to Android...
proof? Official 4.2.2 is a HORRIBLE firmware!
Samsung announced that 4.2 would be the Tab 2's last update. At this point, if you want newer OS versions, ROMs are your only choice. 4.3.1 is pretty standard for roms nowadays. PAC-Rom developers said that they are already working on a 4.4 build for the tab 2, but it will be a while before it's out.

Note 8010 4.4 Touchwiz

Hello,
long time no see. I bought the note 10.1 a year ago and still waiting for an update. Is there a 4.4 Touchwiz port for the 8010. I am about to install a custom rom. Any recommendations which TOUCHWIZ based custom rom is good. because i am a heavy S-Note user. Or is there a S-Note(2014 verison) port for the 8010.

Nope. None as of yet but we have kitkat omnirom that works very well. No s-note tho.
Next time use the Q&A forum.?
Ask in Q&A forum, this is Dev forum.
BTW, ARHD is a great TouchWiz ROM
It's true that there is not an official kitkat rom or any sort of port of a touchwiz ROM, but we do have official confirmation that the original Note 10.1 will be getting the kitkat update. There has been a partially functional leak already. We can probably expect an official update (and custom roms based on it) in the next month or two.
So while installing a custom ROM might be a great idea, if you like touchwiz you ought to hold out for a bit longer.
i guarantee we all will receive the update at the end of 2015

Where can I find MIUI 4.8.29 for SPH-L710?

Guys, I have a Sprint Galaxy S3 (SPH-L710) that is currently running MIUI 4.8.22 w/ Android 4.2.2 perfectly. What I want to know is, is the very latest version of MIUI compatible with my phone and where can I find it? All of the ROMs on the MIUI offical site does not work with this phone. I found this ROM on this wonderful and very awesome site. I just want to be sure I'm up-to-date.

No idea. MIUI is not developed here. The only thing here are some ports as XDA doesnt support MIUI
