Here is the froyo launcher2.apk from the G2 system dump. You must be rooted and uninstall stock launcher2 first via root explorer or titanium backup. I also suggest making a backup first. It runs smooth on my incredible. 7 home screens, 3D app drawer, etc. I figured i would make it easier for anyone who wants it. Just download then place on your SD Card and install. You do need to allow installation of apps from unknown sources in application settings first.
ONLY WORKS WITH AOSP ROMS

Its a really nice launcher but the phone icon says "Application not installed" and I found no way to fix that. Its useless to me without being able to access my phone
I'm sorry I don't know. It works perfect for me on cyanogenmod 6 and Ruby and ultimate Droid. I don't know what to tell you

No need to be sorry. My phone is back to stock 2.2. I'm waiting for a replacement cause I'm having major issues. I'm sure that's why it's not working. Thanks dude
I tried to use this on CM 6.0.2 and after I download it says I already have it installed. I really just want the 3D app drawer. Any idea?

Download titanium backup and select backup/restore and go find desktop 2.2 launcher and press it and hit uninstall then go and install this

yeah, get launcherpro. it's 3d app drawer is way better than the stock launcher2

go to manage apps, and clear defaults for phone, then click ur phone icon, and click it to use as default.
Already tried that but it didn't work. I just wanted to check it out. I'm back to using Launcher Pro

I just installed this on my stock 2.2 incredible and almost everything works quite well. The only thing that doesn't work is the phone button on the launcher. When I select it I get a the message "Application is not installed on your phone". Not sure how to fix this. Anyone?

you need to long press the phone icon on the bar and when the menu pops up select "change shortcut" then select application and then click on phone and you should be good to go hope this helps you.
It's good tool. But I have only G7, hope yours can work correctly on my phone!

I've been looking forever for a stock froyo looking launcher that's more like the Nexus One. ADW is ok but I don't like the dock icons. The G2 launcher is perfect but I can't get the phone button to work on my Droid Incredible OTA 2.2 (Rooted). I've read through the post but havent seen any solution Long pressing on the phone button and changing the short cut doesn't work at all (read that in another post) SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I really like this launcher
Hey guys sorry for not replying sooner. Apparently this only works with AOSP roms (i.e. cyanogenmod, ruby, shadowrom) I'm updating the OP right now.

Where did you get it? What rom you running?
I flashed it but it didn't work...buuut it looks like there is already some other apks out there so I'm gonna try that...sorry for the false alarm guys...delete this thread if need be

No matter what I do, the new market always force closes on me. Anyone know why? Running CM 6.1 and trued flashing it and installing apk and its always a no go.

Here are two more on post's 56 and 57. Also has the older one if you keep getting fc's. The one on post 57 works for me on Fresh 3.3
It's really weird. It seems to work for me... loading all the scrolling things on top, but right before it loads the icon images for the apps on the main page it force closes.
follow these steps and it should work fine
1. go to menu>settings>manage applications>all
2. select Market
3. force stop
4. clear data
5. reboot recovery
6. clear cache and Dalvik-cache
7. flash the new market
8. reboot
FC problems solved
t3 i followed ur steps and still get the fc's. Perhaps its rom related? Warm here

Do you know where this is available? I had a black themed market for the old one by slayer69...tried reflashing after updating the market and no dice. Can you post the link to his post?
For those having an issue, I simply installed this apk using astro...don't see a reason to flash.
I am using Azrael X v2.1 rom without a problem.

Using CM6.1 I have used every method under the book mentioned in a bunch of different threads but I simply cannot get it to load up without an FC. I guess I'll wait until I get the OTA!

the default theme, if i'm not wrong, is the android stock theme. which is the one, in my opinion, every rom should include as default, or at least, as an option (cm 6.1.3 from wolfbreak is awesome, but i don't like the theme)

Why don't you just extract the framework from beta 4 and use it on wolfs cm6.1.3
Or install beta 4 and add Cm settings, then add apps etc from wolfs rom?

Thanks for the reply guys. Maybe I should have been more specific. I'm currently using Z's freeX10 beta 4 and the thing is I don't want to reflash every thing or else I'd need to customize everything back to the way it is. Too time consuming haha. Basically I want it because when I installed another theme before, some aspects of the theme remained on my phone even though I installed another theme. I'm not sure how to get rid of them, so I was hoping the default theme would get rid of them. I'll attach pictures to this post in a few minutes to show you what I mean. And yeah, I did try to extract the framework from the beta 4 but i failed miserably, It didn't let me install it through recovery
EDIT: attached pictures from phone. basically I really hate that youtube icon and I wanna get rid of it and revert it back to the normal one.
You wont be able to install framework through xrecovery, you would have to swap it using root explorer and change permissions, reboot then it should be fine
But make sure you copy the framework that was on before just in case anything happens, and/or backup using xrecovery for safety

Hello everyone! Here is something new for you all to play with. This is the TouchWiz 4.0 Launcher on the SGSII for KC1 and KD1. THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH MY DEODEXED BUILDS. Download the respective zip for your build and flash through clockworm mod recovery (you read me right!). The KC1 version CAN be flashed over the lockscreen mod from my other thread.

Make sure you're running my dedoexed build. This will NOT work on the official T-mobile release.

To my understanding the only thing not working is restoring /system. You can flash stuff through it np.

Oh, so to install this i would just have to put it in root of sd, then go to flash from sd, choose and flash it? ( do i need to wipe anything?)

Flashed with cwm and running fine. I like this version of tw much better. It's less Iphoney--It doesn't have those colored boxes behind the app icons in the app drawer. It also seems to be pretty snappy.
I will probably use this for my main launcher which I am surprised to say about a version of TW...lol. Great job on this!

Download to sdcard and then boot into cwm and look for install zip from sdcard, not the flash update.zip option. U will see your sdcard file layout find the file u downloaded and install. Hope this helps. Also when u reboot hit home and go to preferences and uncheck Landscape. It was causing force close on me everytime.

I noticed issues if I tried to use more than 5 icons on the dock. Also get a black screen if I use my samsung desk home app. Not a big deal but only happens with sgs 4g not my vibrant both running tw 4.
Love tw 4.... never thought I would see love and touch wiz together.

Hmm. I reflashed KD1 and installed.beta 3 cw again, and it still keeps rebooting constantly. Im lost. When i get home i guess i could try odin.

Hey all, can anyone already with KH1 installed tell me what version of swype is installed? I currently use KG6 leak and swype is giving me some headaches because of bugs. I want to know if KH1 has a new swype version.
My version is:
3.23.89.29166.29205.2529.T959V
I don't want to go through another OS update if it's not worth it (like swype updated) because it's a pain in the ass to restore backups and merging contacts from facebook and twitter accounts and so on.
Also, does KH1 modem help with wifi issues? does anyone knows? Sorry I can't post on dev forums yet.

It's ok. What I did was to remove swype from my phone and downloaded the swype beta from their website.
Version is 3.6
The appearance changed a bit, and it's better at swyping which was my main concern.
