Installation instructions:
1 download Latinme2.apk
2 copy to system/app via root explorer(or adb push)
3 set permissions rwrr
4 reboot
It will show up in input method as android keyboard...enjoy

Looks the same. I want the ics kb I've seen in screenshots where it has the voice, input options, and the period removed. That allows for a longer spacebar. Because I hit all three of those useless buttons far too much.

Installed it after backing up existing apk, and renamed the same to LatinIME.apk.
Keyboard looks more or less the same, but, the shade of blue is stunning, atleast to me. Its soooooo nice, I am gonna keep this keyboard

Tested just now. Its giving vibration feedback as I am typing this. Make sure have the option under enable vibration feedback disabled (that says obey haptic feedback).

I like it. most of all I like the ability to set the long press delay time. that and the blue text and slightly softer look make it just perfect for a stock keyboard. now to theme it.!

right now i cant seem to get access with adb push/pull im on the new leak and not sure what is missing but incase you have the same issue ill write what is working for me
mount the sdcard and copy the latinime2.apk into the sdcard. unmount the sdcard and go into command line

adb shell
$ su
# cp /sdcard/latinime2.apk /system/app
# chmod 0644 /system/app/latinime2.apk
though you "should" be able to do it like below but for some reason it's not working for me now
enter a command prompt and cd to the directory that holds the latinime download (adb may need to be here as well if it's not in your path)

$ su
# chmod 0644 /system/app/latinime2.apk
1. Delete or rename the existing LatinIME.apk to .bak
2. Rename the app to LatinIME.apk before or after copying to /system/app

No it is not... it actually has the ICS functionalities like adjusting the levels of auto-correction.

move miuiweather.apk to sdcard
open root explorer and navigate to /sdcard
long press on miuiweather.apk and hit COPY
navigate to /system/app
hit menu - PASTE (if it says you can't because its read only, hit the top right button mount r/w, then paste)
longpress on the miuiweather.apk in /system/app
select permissions
make checkboxes look like following: (where x indicates check, 0 indicates unchecked)
Read Write Execute

(all three checkmarks in first column, first checkmark in second column)
same thing with the db file, except instead of /system/app, navigate to /data/data/com.miui.weather/databases/ to paste it

Just in case someone missed the thread.
Since we don't have CWM, follow the instructions below
Download the GalaxySPack...
Unzip files in /system/app.
Backup your phone's file.apk that you are about to copy from GalaxySPack and also the odex file. (You can rename the files xxx.apk.bak, xxx.odex.bak)
Copy the files in your phone's /system/app/, reboot and there you go.
Done.
Don't forget to hit the "Thanks" Button for me is all I ask.
*** There is also the MultiDPI Video Player and Camera, but it doesn't seem to affect our phone. Should work on any DPI.
FOR Gingerbread Install.... (Other APK's are coming)
1. Download unsignedDialerTabActivity.apk
2. Rename to DialerTabActivity.apk
3. Backup your Original DialerTabActivity in \system\app
4. Copy new DialerTabActivity.apk
5. Hit the Thanks Button for me please (I actually did this one on my own)

The zip contains apks. Basically you replace the apks from this zip into your /system/app
Like the DialerTabActivity.apk or MusicPlayer.apk. These apk's are modded to support most DPI changes. So you just replace away, but a good idea is to back your old apk hahaha....

Read the other thread about MultiDPI apks.
When you change DPI's certain things like the phone dialer doesn't scale correctly. These APKs does...
If you don't change DPI's on your infuse, don't worry about it.

Wait there are two files that you had to modify in your phone.
You replaced DialerTabActivity.apk from the .zip THEN you have to remove or rename DialerTabActivity.odex
THEN REBOOT!
Did you do this?

HAHHAA its all about reading.....
Try it for the music.apk, its nice especially when you turn on visualize for a song. Its so nice on a horizontal screen on a 4.5" screen!

Okay, so I made the change and my thoughts:
Dialer works perfect, music player works too but my biggest concern is that my grid where I can place icons and the apps drawer is still in the top left corner.
It's almost like phone doesn't know I can put icons in the bottom right.
What do I need to change in order to fix that?
Basically the layout of the phone does not recognize all the extra space I have now?
How can I take a screenshot to show you guys?

i use AWD Launcher to fix launcher problem
I used root explorer to copy the files over and set permissions.
It was launcher issue...I changed the launcher to launcher pro and it works like a charm now at 200 density for now. I might change it to 190 but I think 200 is a decent enough density

Dude 190 is WAYYY better.... at 200 there is a little oversharpness by samsung's filters. 190 really creates more of a rounded letter... Doesn't make that big of a difference.
Also in LauncherPro you can change the number of rows or columns on the home screens + have it automatically size widgets and placement of icons to get that even look.

I love the "Quick Controls" feature in stock browser (Labs menu) but find the area it responds to way too small. I guess it's optimized for tablets where pixel translate to way more size than on a phone. On my phone I'm having major problems hitting the area which makes it very cumbersome and slow to use the quick controls – not really how it's supposed to be.
So I went and edited the source, hardcoding a value of 25 pixel.
REQUIREMENTS:
- ICS (Android 4.0.3)
- Root
Attached is the edited browser.apk 4.0.3, signed (for installing after removing the stock browser.apk).
For those want to make the changes themselves:
1. pull /system/app/Browser.apk
2. decompile (use http://apkmultitool.com/ if you don't know how to do it)
3. open Browser.apk\smali\com\android\browser\view\PieMenu.smali in an editor
4. in ".method public onTouchEvent(Landroid/view/MotionEvent" find the first appearance of "com/android/browser/view/PieMenu;->mSlop"
5. add a new line "const/16 v12, 0x19" after the one from 4. (0x19 is the hex value of 25)
6. compile the apk and push/install
For installation:
1. Use Root Explorer, adb shell or similar tools to delete /system/app/Browser.apk
2. reboot
3. install the apk
edit:
v2 with bugfix for search released, Quick Controls area reduced to 20px (25 was causing too many false positives with website buttons)

Did you remove the stock browser before trying to install? Self-signed apps can't replace system apps as the signatures are different.

Where are you getting that error message?
While I'd love to make it install next to stock browser I haven't yet figured out how to resolve the conflicting provider errors. So for now your only choice is to first delete the stock Browser.apk, then install this one.
no I didn't remove the stock browser before installing it , I use the iAPK v0.3 to install apps into my X10 phone and I got the message ( install failed ) .
well it can't work if you don't remove the stock browser, no matter what tool you use

the attached apk requires sdk 15 which is 4.0.3. You could edit your own Browser.apk though, it's a really quick job, even without experience shouldn't take more than 10 min.
Tried the apk and added the line with apk multitool. Both didn't work (still very hard to get the quick controls up ) on my Desire s, Virtuous Quattro

I was currently using GO EX Launcher with ICS theme but I did not like the Push Notification ADS i was receiving plus i don't like the "cheapy" feel to Market Launchers so i went ahead and found ICS Icons from an ICS system dump and replaced the launcher,Browser,Phone,and MMS Icons for the Atrix 2 rom.

Your 3 codes state to reboot at the end of each one. If i recall, you don't need to reboot after pushing each file right? I thought you could push all 3, then reboot at the end. Digging the mod, about to give it a shot after my CWM backup.

Thanks.as for not rebooting after each file push, i am not sure.i like to play it safe so i do one at a time. I would imagine you would be fine.
I am working on a lockscreen next .i want to give it a more ics appearence so that's probably my next little mod project .there is not many roms or mods for atrix 2 due to it being newish and support could be bigger so i figured i would try n whip some up and contribute .we need some more options in my opinion because this phone is great.has potential.i am not a dev but love messing around in Photoshop and changing appearences.i get bored quick with the same looks

I just checked the download,it says "595.87 KB" thats the file size i am getting,must be something going on on your side. i just downloaded it. perhaps try a different browser,or if your using your phone to download use a different app like opera mini or boat browser,hope it works out.

I tried the download on 2 different PCs and used IE, firefox and chrome. It appears on site to be 595kb but once downloaded it's 0 bytes. can you send it as e-mail attachment?
One simple doubt.
this just replaces the icons and the notification bar .. right
i won't loose the facebook widget and the social features in library provided int he original rom.. ?
also can you please tell what is the weather widget you are using?

personally I used root browser and pushed the apk to system/app, then downloaded moto home fixer off the market and set home as default. No issues yet

1: use root browser to push blurhome2apk to system/app
2: Download MOTO HOME FIXER
3: Set HOMR as default
Must use ROOT BROWSER off the market....those are the steps I use, on every ROM.

You might have done a lot of good work but what the hell is the interest of SAMSUNG app file manager versus free app like ES FILE EXPLORER https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=us.?
For me as a SAMSUNG user this app is a basic app and its main interest is that it was installed by default not its functionalities !
I don't advise to install SAMSUNG file manager whatever the good work you have certainly done.

simplicity and comfort rulez.es file explorer is ......(my opinion,sorry to all),i use only 2 things for my files and apps and thats rootexplorer and now the good old myfiles apk.both have less than 2mb,are in system stored,working perfect and need tiny ram.that gives me awesome performance,es are quite big and have so many useless settings i never use or need.i love it simple,lol.
