I have been realizing lately that I don't seem to have data communication during phone calls, which is pretty disappointing. Is this true? Is there a worksround?

You should if your on 4G I do at least. But 2G or lower it wont be there during a call.

It is very much free. Just makes ur data go up of course. I have a 10gb cap until I'm throttled but I never go over anyway

It's really not free... Your phone needs a data plan.... Sensation has it built in which makes it easy.

So today i was on the phone with my buddy and while i was talking to him i was trying to find something on the web, but i could never connect. But when i got off the phone my connection came back on. So is it not possible to surf and talk on the g2x.?

I'm not sure how exactly, but it doesn't affect anything. A few other roms do this. There's no need to change it.
