There was like 2-3 free ones last time I was on a couple days ago.
Just tried both plugins neither worked for fruit ninja thd.
Samurai Vengence works =)
Just tried Samurai Vengance and it works =)
How are you guys getting it to work? Frustrates me. Every time I try to play fruit ninja thd it said it needs to be on an nvidia tegra device.
Did you follow the steps correctly from the post? Here is what I did:
1. Download and Install Chainfire 3D from the market
2. Download the NVIDIA driver zip file and extract it to your sdcard
3. Open Chainfire app and then install drivers for Chainfire. Your device will reboot.
4. After reboot, open Chainfire and select the NVIDIA driver you copied to your sdcard.
5. Once you install the driver and plugin correctly. Try running a Tegra game. It should work. However, the only game I tested though was Samurai Vengence.
I'm dumb I didnt select the plugin I just installed it or whatever. I got a few games working amazing. How come the samurai game runs so good but its suppose to showcase new graphics? I dont get it.
Wait, am I not supposed to be able to play plants vs zombies? I downloaded it from the amazon store a couple weeks ago and it works perfect...

did you try all the plugins?
i have nvidia, qualcomm, and powervr they all work on different games
It appears that Gameloft now supports our phone with the game "Let's golf 3". That was the one game I really got addicted to on the Thrill when I had it. Until now, the game didn't work on our phones.
Maybe it's the ICS update that made it work? Or did they just start supporting our device? Anyone with Gingerbread confirm that it works for that too?

I am not the biggest gamer...having played a little WoW back in the day, and first two Diablo games....which I liked a great deal...and a few others.
What I am looking for (which might not exist yet) is an Android game that is RPG strategy with less emphasis on first person shooter (don't mind this, but don't want to play Resident Evil or XBox games that are all first person shooting games).
I also liked Sim games somewhat, but was hoping to find something like... Myst (which is an oldie I realize, but I am considering the Android platform) or maybe Diablo 1 or 2. Or, of course, but I know impossible, something like Skyrim... Something where I can immerse a character in a story and try to find clues/weapons/etc. toward completing an ultimate over-arching game goal (solve murder, prevent evil group takeover, or whatever).
I like the fantasy R&D themed games, but a modern storyline would be really cool.
Amy help is greatly appreciated!

Give Dungeon Hunter a try. It plays quite a bit like Diablo.
I'll say zenonia 1,2,3,4 are awesome

How much does it cost? I'm just curious, and the Play page doesn't say, and none of the reviewers are, either. Looks good, though. This plays like a Zelda game?
To the OP: I've been playing games on Gameboid, a GBA emulator. It's not in Google Play, you have to go to the SlideMe market (web-based, you download the .apk and sideload it). I find it runs the GBA version of Zelda 3 better than the Super NES emulator runs the original, and the GBA version actually fixes a few things. So I've played that, and also the Castlevania games on my phone. Controls could be better but aren't terrible.
Dink Smallwood! That ought to keep you occupied for a little bit

It's free on the gmarket across age, but if you want good emulator and apps you should download blackmart alpha on 4shared. I have gba, nintedo, supernintendo, and n64 emulators. Other fun game is gta3 and plants vs zombies on android

The game design is a bit childish though.

Ok thanks a lot for the responses.
I was looking around on the market and saw GTA3. I actually never played this (I hear it is a port of the original) but spent many hours of my life playing Driver on PS. The thing that I wanted to ask about which GTA3 brought to mind was off the games mentioned, one element that I was looking for (if the 3D is pretty good ...GTA3 really surprised me) is detailed and/or extensive environments. I loved Skyrim and virtually any MMO for this reason (but it doesn't need to be multi-player)... I think that's why adventure games always were the most interesting... In contest to FPS games anyway. Just the endless exploration of the game world...to me that is escapism at its best.
I am trying most of the games mentioned here in this thread, but if the above additional info triggers anyone's recollection of any others... please let me know!
Thanks,
Syntropic

Just a heads up, you can find the best RPG games from gamevil and com2us. They create the best RPG games on the android market right now.

Eternity warriors 2 is available, but play store says incompatible with my xplay. Anyone tried it? Does it support the pad? Am eager to know.
Tried this out earlier, actually.
Don't know why they blocked us from seeing it, it runs perfectly on Xperia Play. No gamepad support though.
First Eternity Warriors took a bit to be Xperia Play Optimized too...

Good to know that it works well on xperia play. The fact that it is blocked for my play may be a good thing. They could be looking to optimize this in an update and then make it available for play.
I'm starting to be very skeptical about GluMobile games. Two of their latest products (Mutan Roadkill and Gears & Guts) are still incompatible with my R800i.
No big loss though, as most of their games are of the same template and include IAPs if you want to beat them - Gun Bros is a shining example of that template.
Aye, Glu seem to be running their reputation into the ground in pursuit of a slice of the f2p pie. I hope noone supports them
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
game runs well as in no lags and stable framerate..but sometimes it gets "unstable" , like it stops working or doesnt register my inputs.
Mutant Roadkill works very well with my play , the other game is not playable at all...
I can confirm that it works on r800x as well. Only played until after the "tut" where u get to choose your next place to go, but it works. And so does Game Guardian

So Com2Us released a free game that looks similar to Eternity Warriors 2 a few months ago. But it's more of an rpg. Has storylines, quests, inventory system, etc. Only problem is that I have no idea what devices it's currently compatible with. I've tried emailing them and they say they are working on bringing it to more devices. I have an Xperia Play, Droid X, and Xoom Tablet. My friend has the Rezound. It doesn't show for any of these. If someone can find a device that works, maybe they can post the apk for us to try? Was thinking since EW2 doesn't show, but still works, maybe this would as well.
Reviews indicate that this isn't even working well on the phones that do allow it to be downloaded.
That's a shame. It sounds/looks like a good game.

Game kept freezing on Xperia Play, had to battery pull twice. It worked fine on my tablet though; the game is pretty boring, and the frame rate is weak.
I'll give it a shot on my tablet then. Post later what happens

Well I have to agree with you. I had high hopes. Screens and description made it look awesome to me. But I'd rather play Gun Bros or Monster Shooter than this. It might be better if framerate was better. Thanks for posting the apk anyways
