Use a file manager App Like Root Explorer to copy the bootanimation.zip
file to the "/data/local" folder on your phone.
BAM1 is the bootanimation on the right
BAM2 is the bootanimation on the left
You must only copy the bootanimation.zip file in the BAM1/ BAM2 folder
to the "/data/local" folder or it will not work.

I really liked the boot animation posted by fluxgfx
on page 3. I just didnt like the MIUI logo being there ( I run CM7)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1139219&page=3
Thankfully fluxgfx posted the original MIUI theme file on page 4.
A couple hours of editing later.. And my bootanimations were done.

That's not right for the inc. It's system/media for AOSP and system/customize/resource for Sense.
I'm running CM7 and put mine in system/media. Works fine.
Nice job btw, this looks really good.
Link not working for me.

You just move the one file the OP said the rest can stay on your sdcard and use astro to install them at least that's what I did.

Works like a charm.. This was obviously designed with Hummingbird in mind though, as it is slightly jerky on my Nexus One..

Yeah you are right, I think it was just jerky at the startup, but its smooth as ever. Btw, OP can you get hold of the 'microbes' lwp by any chance??
Is there a way to install this without root?
No, it needs to replace /system/apps/LiveWallpapers.apk I'm afraid.
You don't need to flash via recovery though, I used ADB to put it in place.
Where did you find it out of interest?
I dont think it works for evo.. just keeps saying copy failed

Can someone make a flashable zip? My adb is screwed lol
The file in the OP is a flashable zip.
Cool didnt work for me ill try again
works amazingly fine & absolutely no lag
Does this one have settings like the one that comes with CM? For instance turning it all red? Thx
Heres a modded version. Changed the package name from com.android.wallpaper to com.android.wallpap23
After you install this you will see some doubles, but the new Nexus one will also be there
Signed so you can install as it as a normal /data/app apk. (no root)
Still needs froyo/2.2/sdk8, didnt change that.
Note: Would have removed the older live wallpapers and named it differently if apktool worked on it...maybe later.
To uninstall:
either: adb remove com.android.wallpap23
or: try to uninstall "Android Live Wallpapers" (Settings->Apps->...), only the user-app can be removed the default system app will fail to uninstall
Works great thanks!
Nexus One/XDA App
workx here, ill flash it via ra_recovery. Just turn off signature verify and it's was installed !
Adapted from Dysgenic's original animations in this thread.
All I've done is changed the resolution from 480x800 pixels to 600x1024 pixels to make it fit the Galaxy Tab's screen better, all credit to the original author.
Use Root explorer to copy the file to /system/media/ and reboot to see it.

Did you put just the .ZIP file in there to overwrite the existing one as necessary, or did you extract it?
I placed the zip file in the in the directory. But there was nithing there to overwrite.

Right, looks like it won't work on CDMA models. Sorry guys.
It's very beautiful, but it's very slow for 3 laps, after this 3 laps go fast.. it's possible to reduce quality?

Me either, but I liked this animation so I changed it.
But I thought it would look better as a 'downanimation' after i changed it, so that's how I used it on my device, YMMV...
Just take the attached file and rename it if needed, then drop it into the appropriate file with the appropriate permissions using an appropriate file explorer... Enjoy!
Nice job OP, hope you don't mind that I took some liberties!
Great as a downanimation indeed... Good idea! Thank you....

Thanks! No problem with that at all. I just added Mike's name to give cred to the ROM chef
How to use it:
1. Download Send the motox_bootanimation.zip to the storage.
2. Copy it to /System/media/ directory, rename the exiting bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.old, then rename the motox_bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip, change the new bootanimation.zip permissions to the same as the original one(group: root).
3. Reboot your phone to test it.

Really like this animation works good on RAZR XT912 with Avatar ROM. Maybe we could get a higher resolution version?
Sent from my XT912 using xda app-developers app
This isn't just "for any phone". There's lots of different resolutions, so the animation will look bad on some phones, as well as the fact that not all phones store them in /system/media/. You should specify the resolution at least, and maybe list phones that you know it works on.
***EDITED - Works fine with 4.3 Deodexed ver.***
Like said above, rename and replace.
Didnt flashed just copied to System/Media and renamed.
Works perfect - Big thanks man.
Archer said it all.
Would like to know the resolution.
