Problems with new version of Adobe's Flash 11 - T-Mobile LG G2x

Problems with new version of Adobe's Flash 11.
I was installing from market. It download and when it went to install it got to 50 percent the phone went to a screen when it crashed. My phone rebooted all on it's own.
Anyone else have this happen to them?

I install it just like any other app. I am not quite sure why it did this to yours. Have you tried multiple times?

My market.....she is gone!

Hey all, I'm running 2.3.3 Cyanogen 7 mod and when I first installed the mod I had no market. So I re installed it and the market was in there, I have since followed one of the solutions on the samsung galaxy forum regarding different themed markets and how to set them up.
This may seem stupid however I was able to get it working previously before updating to 2.3.3, in short I tried to install zip from SD card and the market has dissapeared and no longer is installed, I tried to install it again and even downloaded the stock and tried to install it as a .apk but it just wont work. I don't want to re-install 2.3.3 if possible but can't see any other options?
I've tried searching for any other threads about this but couldn't find any which actually gave an answer, has anybody seen or had this issue before?

http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ if you can't find them, choose the CM7 version in the table at the top.
More specifically you should download this : http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip and install the zip file via cwm recovery

Hey guys, thanks for those speedy responses - this is why I love the XDA forum!!
Sadly installing the Google apps didn't work either, all looked to install but after clearing the cache and fixing permissions (just to be sure) there was no market installed when I rebooted
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Just after flashing the rom you must reboot and in your first reboot login with your Google account.

Ah so I do have to reflash the Tom, bummer - that's what I was hoping to not have to do :-(
If its gotta be done then its gotta be done I spose, cheers for all the help.

Cod ball, reflash your rom without wiping anything, after that flash gapps and reboot.

Odin file maker app

P3droid has released an app that creates a custom odin tar of your phone. Yes it's an application on the market. It's a great way to backup your phone and works perfectly. I really suggest buying it. It cost two dollars and works on all samsung phones! Just search for odin on market and it's called samsung odinmaker

so this will let us backup the current state of our phones?
sounds legit.
might have to check it out so i can check out gummycharge without worrying about having to wipe everything from my altered beast.
It's legit. It backs up your phone. Everything about it. Kernel and recovery too

Purchased and tried to make the back up. It was on for 3 hours and never stopped. Finally gave up and rebooted the phone. May be the busy box installed by gummy charged is not compatible with it! I also installed the busy box recommended by it, still no go!

Thanks, installed the app and the busybox installer the app recomended. Chose full phone backup and the app created a tar file in my sd card. Have not flashed on the phone yet, but so far so good.
Thanks for the heads up!
If you have problems unmount sd card then remount. It helps. It seems that the sd card unmounts sometimes during the process messing it up

Purchased! Thanks! Backed up using "essential" simple backup. File size is almost 2GB! What's the difference between essential and full?
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA App
Full includes recovery kernel and cache. Idk if essential has data
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA Premium App
I'm tryign to restore a "Full" (1.9gb) backup and Odin 1.3 hangs on Movinand. For hours. I let it run 4 hours and it eventually failed in odin.
Anything i can do? I tried flashing in heimdall but i dont understand how to flash movinand there is no field in heimdall for user data...
Use odin 1.8
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA Premium App
Odin 1.83 still hangs on MoviNand when the green bar gets to the second N in Nand. Hung for 5 hours, then FAIL/restart.
You can create a full Odin dump with my latest recovery via the Advanced menu. Backup and Restore also should be working now too Both come free of charge
Im having the exact same problem. Could definitely use some help
Hmm full works for me. I know p3 has an update coming
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA Premium App
its not that hard to follow imnuts's guide to make an odin anyway, no need for an app
So if i flash a new rom will this put everything back in place the way it was prior to flashing? I just cant stand constantly setting up each page the way it was prior to flashing...takes hours

[Q] LB beta 6

is something wrong with the download for beta 6? it wont let me download it.
Are you trying to download it on your phone? And how won't it work? Is the link not opening or does it just say download unsuccessful? If it says download unsuccessful, I would try and install another browser, such as dolphin hd or opera then use that, because sometimes the stock browser won't let you download certain things in my experience.

Or download from PC. I'm beginning to seriously wonder if all the random bad flashes people are having are due to trying to download ROMs straight to their phone.
I had some issues with downloading it last night. Just kept trying until it worked.

Android Makret wont update to Google Play

Im currently on Richie390's MIUI 2.3.24 rom and having a little problem and anyone using that build or knows anything help would be useful. Last weeks build my market updated to the google play store and was working fine and everything, i then updated my rom to the more current rom which is the 2.3.24 and now my google play store has reverted back to android market. i tried downloading the apk and installing manually but it keeps saying install unsucessful. i also tried the clear data and open market and it should update on its own but none of them work. Any help?
Why does it matter? Significant changes are the icon change and name.

Just something that bothers me a little and I liked the interface of how they setup the "My Apps" screen.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Just use a root explorer and overwrite the old vending apk in system/app?
I've never used an MIUI rom but I'm assuming you still flash gApps zip like the other roms, you could unzip the gApps you're using, copy the updated vending apk into the app folder and rezip the files and flash it

make a backup in CWM.
then boot your rom, and use something to remove the market, or just delete the .apk
try re-installing it then
if you still cant get it working, you could always try pushing it to the phone via ADB from your computer... but that seems like it would be a bit too much work for just a few non necessary changes.
Appreciate all the help, ill give some of the advice a try and see if maybe one of em works LOL

Only other way rom will auto update market to 3.5.1.5 is if your on a ics rom. Your not missing much if your not on latest market tho.. Its a mess

I'm on a stock based ROM and I have the newest market.
It isn't only for ICS.
Tried everything to no avail, I'm using Richie's miui rom, could just be the rom itself =/

BTW, whoever said there weren't any differences between Market versions hasn't played around with it much. The latest version of Google Market, hmm, Play, is a mess, especially when comes the time to figure out how to display purchased apps separately from all the other crap I may have had the misfortune of trying in the past. There is also no way I can find to filter the previously-installed app list: a simple alphabetical sort option would greatly help.

You flashed a gapps package? You can't really install market from the apk. You can force it through root explorer but just flashing gapps again should solve it. Make sure it's a gapps package with play already packaged. Otherwise give it a day, it should update itself

SGH-I317 on SkyNote 10, lost root, WiFi

Hi all,
I recently upgraded my Note 2 to Android 4.3 using the SN10 ROM, and everything went smoothly with the exception that I haven't been able get root back (flashing the SuperSU 1.8 update does nothing) and Wi-Fi (the modem zip did nothing when I flashed it from TWRP, and the instructions say to load a file with Odin, except Odin cannot load .img files!)
Any help would be appreciated. I'm a computer engineer and I've been using custom ROMs since my HTC iPAQ PDA so I'm not a noob when it comes to this things.
TIA,
Erik

Forgot to add that I already tried clearing caches, etc... with no success. Wi-Fi toggle goes to on and then flips itself back off instantly.
Sent from my SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
Ok so reinstalled SuperSU from the Play store, turns out that one was a PEBKAC error. Any leads on how I can fix my WiFi though? Thanks!!!

Bump? Anyone? I would rather ask directly in the ROM's thread but I have to get past the 10 post limit first.
Sent from my SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
Also, every time I reboot the screen shows "Android is upgrading". Makes me wonder if I need to do something to make it finish before my WiFi will work again?
