[ROM] LHero by Maxisma [2.1 - 13/SEP 12:40 UTC+2]

So, I release a new ROM again !
And this is the result: A fast, Cyanogen speed, and stable CM ROM with all the goodies from Hero, but not the resource hogs =)
It's based on Cyanogens experimental Donut.

Grab the mail.apk from the mytouch, it's floating arround in this forum ;-)

I can take it from original Rogers or even HERO build and it will probably work. Question is if only thing removed was mail.apk or libs ?

You CAN'T take the Mail.apk from Rogers/Hero, I removed the neccesarry always in background running services ;-)
You have to use the one from the Mytouch ;-)

I was taking can't this Rom since maxisma said he didn't include the flash player. So I was wondering could I just install a flash player from any hero Rom?

And yes, it think you can install flash by pushing the browser.apk and browser.odex from zeroxdinto /system/sd/app_s
But.. why? This flash sucks and just shows advertises and uses cpu power.
Oh and it supports youtube, wow

Grab the browser.apk and browser.odex and then do:

To save space you can also remove
/system/lib/libfl.so
/system/lib/libflashlite.so
/system/lib/libflashsnddec.so
and as you've also removed JBed.apk you can throw out /system/lib/libjbed.so
/system/lib/libjbmidp.so
/system/lib/libjbmidpdy.so
In total it would be over 8MB saved.

If touchinput force closes, did you wipe?

About DeOmegaROM
DeOmega is a rom based on Latest 2.09.405.8. Taken from RUU Files (shipped-roms.com) and repacked with some modifications.
This ROM is Vanilla Like, with LauncherPRO as Launcher.

What does that means? A2SD (old flavour) always use the sdcard ext2/3 partition.

It is mounted not inside /system/sd but outside! /sd-ext
in order to easily support the aufs module in future.
It is a new style of sd ext mounting! - Updated on first post

Anyone installed this Beta and experienced Problems would help me to fix some.

phone.apk is from htc.

This is (almost) what I've been looking for, currently using a rosie-less MCR r8.
Any way of replacing the notification bar with the vanilla one & also removing the coloured icons in the settings pages ?

I'm unable to flash this Rom. I am currently using Delite 1.1. Radio 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2. I have Clockworkmod recovery.
After a full wipe I select the zip file, the process starts but stops almost instantaneously.
Can anybody help?

The zip file is Broken, i am recreating it and reuploading it. I will inform you in a few minutes about it.

Flash the zip files in post #2 via recovery. After flashing and rebooting go to your Rosie Settings and choose Right Button "select" and pick the program to match icon.
Notification Menu Power Control Widgets for Sense - 3.70 OTA (How to Change them)
By creating a pipe delimited list (|) of widgets in a one-line text file named widget.txt, and dropping this file into the '/system/customize/' folder on your phone.
So, say you want your power control bar to contain 4 widgets for 4G, Wifi, Bluetooth, and Sync. You would create a one-line file using the following syntax:

Note: there CANNOT be any spaces between each widget defined, and the pipe delimiter is only placed between each instance, but not at the beginning or end. If you fubar it bad enough, you'll probably bootloop your phone, so please use caution and check your work.
Once you've created your file, again, named widget.txt, all lower-case, using adb, push to your phone (the following commands assume your widget.txt file is in the same folder where you are issuing the adb commands):

Everything Works, I can't test 4g but it is based off a stock ROM. I have 345mb free after installing all my apps (and I have alot of aps) with a2sd running. Seems very stable no force closes, and seems fast with stock kernel (which I am going to change) I mainly Mashed my theme in a stock rom and changed rosie with drop down widgets, different fonts. Nothing super special just wanted to share. Plus I'm in the learning Stages. Once I get a better grip on Java I hope to do big things.

What is there to bear in mind?
One bug is left (Present in each and every single CM 7.2): Turning off WiFi-Tethering via notification panel might sometimes not actually turn it off. Go to Settings/Wireless&Networks/Tethering & portable Hotspot/Portable WiFi hotspot settings and turn it off from there.
Do not apply any pathetic build.prop tweaks... If they are so good, why didn't your manufacture include them? (They are not stupid...) Click...

@Wooaarr May i know which tool did u use to delete language packs in apks? Did u use apktool and manually deleted for each n every app or any automated tools?

I used Virtuous Ten Studio and yes, decompiled every single apk, removed the languages and recompiled.
I don't know if there is an automated process for this.

I am enjoying this ROM. It is very smooth.
However you should not say "100% (And i mean 100%...) working, without any reboots, or fc's..."
I consistently FC on (process com.cyanogemmod.cmparts) Cyanogen Mod Settings -> Notification power widget -> Widget buttons -> Brightness Modes. So Brightness modes is not working for me.
I will continue to test and give feedback.

It was some weird behavior some got, while others did not.

Updated this again, sorry for the frequency, but scavenging the source I just occasionally see something I do not really like...

I'm not sure if I add anything fancy to the Rom, as it somehow defeats the purpose I made this for. A simple and plain working solution for someone who does not like to switch Roms every week.

in my handheld, it just nothing...no one ringtones or notification has sound...anysomething wrong?

To use your own ringtones, notifications and alarms, simply create a folder media/audio/ringtones on your sdcard and drop your ringtones in there.
For alarms it would be media/audio/alarms
For notifications it would be media/audio/notifications
Or you create this file structure under /system

It will actually increase the life span, as I lowered the read ahead values. Now your card will perform worse in a benchmark, but way better in real life usage. If you want to read a bit more about it, go over here.
