I've been keeping an eye out for another Transformer and figured I'd be able to get them on the cheap being people wanting to unload theirs in time for the new Asus Prime.
I've found this TF with dock, I know it's not the 32GB model but still looks to be in decent shape. Does this seem like a pretty good deal or should I keep looking?
Suggestions?

There are 5 days left in the auction and it's at $286. No way of knowing how high it will go, so difficult to say whether it'll end up being a good deal. Maybe look at some closed auctions...
If you wait until Black Friday, you can try to score one of the $250 tablet + $100 docks at Best Buy. $350 for the combo new seems like a pretty good deal.

I hope it is I just bought one! secondhand off ebay but seems pretty snappy so far, the keyboard is excellent, very good quality keys.

i would like to know where i can buy one for cheap (20$) or possible make my own im very good with my hands but i dont know how the three buttons on the bottom work and interact with the nexus i dont want the crappy docks with a micro usb sticking out i want the one with the three contact points at the bottom so i can just though it in there and theres no extra wear and tear on the usb port

Good luck trying to find one for under $20. Are you crazy? There is no chance in hell you can find a OEM desktop dock for that price. unless your friend or someone you know will sell theirs to you for cheap.

You wont find it on ebay. They are still selling those suckers for a good chunk of change. I would rather just buy it from HTC.
Ok, so I ordered a used 32GB Transformer on Amazon at a great price, but was wondering even if it is either a B7 or B8 should I even bother keeping it cause I cannot get root? I mean will it really come? I will get it tomorrow and will know more if it can be rooted or not, but if it is not, should I just return it and get something else?
no i dont think you should get something else this is the best out there and allot of people have said that it is the first stock experience they were really happy with and with garenteed ics in the next few months that experience can only get better

Well I am just hoping even if I am lucky enough not to get a B7 or B8, that it can be done for all the others.
I got my used 32gb from Amazon a few days ago, it is a B50. I would be willing to wager yours will be the same. I think Amazon got a bulk purchase returned and are now reselling them. Also so you know, mine came in perfect condition, still had the protective film on the bottom and on the usb cord. It was missing the screen protector film, but otherwise you wouldn't know it was "used". Came in the original box with instruction envelope charger and cord.
the transformer is a great stock device. I've owned about 5 android smartphones(Droid, Droid x, incredible, fascinate, thunderbolt) and rooted them all to feel like they were worth it and usable. I haven't even thought about rooting mine and I got it when it first came out. this tablet is great right out of the box and wouldn't trade it for any other tablet out right now, especially if you got the keyboard.

That gives me a bit a relief, I ordered a 32GB "Like New" one for $311 shipped. I have good things about Amazon Warehouse Deals like new products, some say they "are" brand new for the most part, as you said. I will find out later today when it comes in...got to love Amazon Prime one day shipping!

I was going off a youtube "unboxing/review" video I saw, it showed a plastic film thing on the screen. Nothing you would want to leave on there as it was thick and had lots of air bubbles under it.
As for Amazon prime.......omg I can't tell you how nice it is. For me I don't have to even do the $3.99 overnight, I am in Indiana the warehouse is just across the border in Kentucky so the free two day shipping means overnight to me 99% of the time. I actually got something the same day once
Hello everyone, im about to buy a asus transformer for about $230. It comes with a case, stylus, and is in very good condition. Would you guys say its a good price for that?
That sounds pretty alright. I got mine with a dock for $360 in november.
Although, there have been rumours about a Nexus tablet coming out for $200, which will very likely be faster. So depending on how you feel about that, you might want to wait a bit. I haven't heard anything about it having an option for a keyboard dock though, so if that is a big deal to you, the tf101 is still solid.
That's a good price, make sure there's no borked hardware and you're all set
Then check out the dev/general sections and get that baby rooted

That was the original ship date of my new egg order. Maybe amazon slipped up and sent a batch out early? Every other retailer on amazon including circuit city is saying 24th now. Meh, nevertheless I am more than pleased with the product I have, even after thinking I was going to return this for a surface hope you all enjoy this as much as I do. Got mine and it went back the same day. Had a big black dot under the screen, not a bad pixel, maybe a piece of glue or plastic? Anyway, I bought it for the screen so that was unacceptable. I tried to dislodge it but no-go.
Was thinking of getting another but saw they changed it to preorder, so I might just wait on the Transformer Infinity. Otherwise in the short time I used it, it looked like a nice device. Construction felt good, decent weight and distributed very well. A microusb to usb adapter was included in the box... A nice touch.

I've already run the Display Tester app to look for dead pixels and what not, and my display is good to go! :good:
Its also in stock and shipping at Acer. A news item I saw about that was the only way I knew about this tablet. I've been waiting on the Transformer Infinity and the Acer wasn't even on my radar. The stats and the price are very appealing.

I too, had been waiting on either the A700 or Infinity. While I was leaning towards the Infinity, I was getting really sick of waiting on ASUS to get their head out of their ass. I figured I'd give the A700 a go and if I didn't care for it, I could return it within the 30 day window and keep waiting on the Infinity to drop State-side.
Same here, infinity looks great on paper, but after the qc issues I've seen firsthand multiple primes later, I'm sick of light bleed, wifi issues, and general lack of helpful and meaningful effort to make change on behalf of the company. I can tell you from experience the a700, it exceeds expectations.

I have finally made my decision as to which tablet to buy - yep you guessed it the TF300T. It's exactly what I am after in terms of spec/price. I was hoping for some advice as to the best place to buy from (I am in the UK). Not fussed about the dock so hopefully I can find one cheaper without? Ideally the white one but from what I can tell it's not readily available here. Any suggestions?

Thanks, I have also found it for £330 delivered from Pixmania (most likely be an EU version, not a problem for me becasue the first thing I will be doing is unlocking it!), which is for the tablet only, no dock. I really don't see myself using the dock all that much in any case.
edit: Should have mentioned it is the blue version.

Good price but in my opinion the dock is worth the extra £50, if anything for the fact it acts as a stand and the extended battery, plus the fact of the expansion ports.

Nice! Ordered, and to think I started with a budget of £250 for a Galaxy Tab 2 !!
I bought mine from pixmania too. Paid about 380 I think but got 12 quid off through quidco.
The dock is definitely worth it IMHO. The extra battery, ports and the fact that it acts like a case when you aren't using the tablet are great. You'll be surprised.

I went for white in the end. I am still not sure I did the right thing as I doubt I will use the dock. I just keep having that feeling that maybe I should of got the Tab 2 10.1 for £250. I'll probably change my mind once it comes.
Is the screen really as dim as people say in reviews?

The screen is a little dim yes. But to be honest if you don't want to use it outdoors then it shouldn't be an issue. The only time i have wanted a brighter screen is in work as for some reason the fluorescent lights in my office make the screen a little hard to see, but nothing I can't live with. It has so much going for it that I can live with a slightly dim screen. Obviously ymmv.

I played with one in a Comet store and as a result I have cancelled my order. It is a great tablet and I can see the merits of having a keyboard however once the keyboard is attached it's almost the same weight as my 11" Lenovo. I can't see myself choosing it over that. I think for some this would be a great device but for me I found the screen lacking a little and a little heavy.
It's a great tablet but just not for me. Shame.
Do people think there's going to be a price drop on the tf300 after the tf700 is released in the uk on the 31st of August?
