MELVIN.....ok so thanks to your new stock release i am able to get Hulu working on the Skyrocket. without using hulu plus.
my question is what did you do the Lib files so that we could edit them. i have been trying to get into the flashplayer lib since i got the phone. is that something that i could do or is there alot to doing that??
i would like to know for future situations
thanks
i was not interested in HOW you edit the actual Lib's........i was just curious HOW you MADE them able to be Edited/changed.
for example. i usually go into the com.Flashplayer/Lib/and replace the .so with a hacked one so i can get hulu to work.
i was unable to do this. did you change the something in the Rom to allow us to do this?
Hmmm..... if you're asking him a question, maybe you should just PM him... or shoot a message via facebook, twitter, IRC, Google+, etc. (I think his signature is bigger than my Skyrocket ). He's usually hanging in the "Developerment" area...

Thats a link to my little site with all the roms ive downloaded, and put on my megaupload account, kinda like a back place for those, and ive seen tons of people asking for megaupload links...Well here you go.
Credit goes to all the devs for making the roms, im simply putting them up on megaupload for those who prefer it, or like me, pay for it....
If im violating anything by means of this site, or if someone gets mad i did this...dont be a child, just simply ask me to take yours off, or ask me to delete this post. Dont be rude, its simple.....Hey i dont like what your doing....Hey i do like what your doing...see how easy that is.
Anything else you want me to put up??? Just ask...Ill do what i can....
This took me alot of time to do, please be kind....
For those who need tutorials on roms... Cyanogen is an amazing developer who made an entire wiki for you... http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/ ... go there and youll find everything you need. I have followed that, then installed SPL 1.33.2005 Danger (on my site) and have been able to install every app ive found thusfar....
Also if you have a file on your computer that you want on the site, theres a box at the bottom of the page for you to upload a file directly to my megaupload account... then you can either find me on twitter to tell me to add it to the site, or msg me here, make the description as vage as poss. (to prevent them from taking it down)
Follow me on twitter for updates and additions www.twitter.com/shorty52732
I have a friend who is constantly asking me where to get different roms at and I have sent him link upon link and he still asks. This will be perfect to give him. Appreciate it.
Good to hear, im glad i can help ppl out... Lemme know if anyone wants anything uploaded that i dont have on there and ill work on it...
Suggestion for inclusion
Hi
Great resource well done - props to you
Some small suggestions (if you like)
Split the ROM section into Hero / non-Hero
Include a section for Radio
Include a section for sdk - droid explorer and tools such as those etc
j.

Added alot of new items, and changed the site around....check it out, lemme know if theres anything else you would like to see in it....
Here's a huge-r list of roms!

you should include likes to the wiki's for install info n such.
Wow, this is awesome! I hope it stays up to date and new roms get added for all android phones!
This is great but could we have the date the rom was published by the dev? And the latest section of the changleog if possible?
Nice, very nice!
Nice work man ...Thanks a lot..

I've had this apk since I grabbed my Droid on release day, since then I've noticed it's been removed and I find others are seeking it. If anyone would like the ultra-cool Cents Clock(App+Widget) v1.6 - I'll send to anyone upon request.
HINT: If you can't figure out what apk it is simply Google the name and you'll find out everything you need to know about it.
Thanks for allowing me to attach files!

What are you talking about? What name?
Google this
Cents Clock(App+Widget) v1.5 - I don't know if against the rules to share a FREE app that's been removed.
Forgive me it's version 1.6 - added file download up above!.
pm'd you an email address...
Thanks
I sent it, check your inbox
why exactly cant you type "Sense Clock"? Why do you keep leaving the "sense" part out?
I'm not sure if it's against forums rules to share an apk that's been removed because of an C&D order.
im pretty sure it would be
lol whats the name of the app ?
It's posted in #6 post - just a few above this
Sense clock Sense clock Sense clock Sense clock Sense clock Sense clock Sense clock
Sorry, felt like being a rebel today.
I cant imagine saying its name is against the rules, Im sure posting it may be.
thread fail
You're okay to share the app. It's free and you're basically just saying you prefer it over whats given in the stock version of Android and that you'd like people to check it out.
However, if it's a PAID app; then that's different. You can talk about it; but under no circumstances can you POST it here on the forums, unless given consent to do so by the author of app. I see no reason why you should be afraid of stating your opinion about your app choices, continue doing so.

Could one of the moderators please allow me to attach files to my posts and PM's. I can't put up a working link right now and it would be easier to just include a link to the apk from right here.
Thanks you in advance!
I have tried to send the apk via email to whomever has asked for it - it is NOT A MOD - it is simply an apk that was listed on the Market then removed. Nothing more nothing less.

Better than fancy or beautiful widgets? Pic?
OK, so you know how any app you use leaves some type of signature like on facebook for example. If you make a status update it'll say posted via FriendCaster for Android or whatever you're using.
My question is... can i do something to change what mine says everytime i post something? For example, instead of saying FriendCaster for Android i want it to say "Posted via Android" or maybe something funny if i want like Posted via Microwave, etc. I know there are sites that you can go on to do this, but i want it to be built into my phone. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

That's something that would probably be in the strings.xml in the values folder of the app. You'd have to decompile the application, change the string, and recompile. After that, everything *should* work. Although you'd have to do this for every application...
I'm totally down for doing that. I would only need to do it for one app. Can you direct me to a thread showing how to do that or explain it to me? I've never heard of it. Thank you.
hey, come back?
Im wondering if there is a place to submit ideas on widgets/apps. There's not many people with the talent/skills to create programs but its sometimes the ones that know less that can think out the box.
Does anyone know of such a place?
I have this idea for an Instant Messenger widget. Since im very fond of widgets (because to me its a huge difference between our apps and iOS apps) I would love to be able to go through my AIM/Yahoo Buddy list on screen and send a message to someone that way without having to open up the specific app.
If something like this already exists id love to know about it. Even if its just a widget showing you who's online and when tapping sends you to an IM box (Kinda like the FB widget that shows you recent status updates/news posts.) If not id love to spread the idea and see if anyone can create such a thing.
Post this in the general android forums under the proper section rather than a device-specific forum under Development (where it should not be). Someone there might have some ideas.

I was thinking that but I've seen many other IM apps that weren't made by AOL or Yahoo so I figured a 3rd party would be more interested then the main source. Especially after seeing AOL ruin their AIM app with their recent upgrade.
Is there a way a Mod can redirect this thread to the proper place or should I just create a new one?

I promise you that none of the developers in this forum would be willing to spend time on an AOL widget I didn't know anyone still used that.

Yeah Im sure its a dying program but I figured it would bring it back a bit if it was always on =P like BBM ... when I had a bb i hated bbm but i used it cuz it was just ALWAYS on. If I had a widget I would always be on lol if i had the time I would love to learn how these things work and just make one.
Sorry in advance if this has specifically been addressed. Doing a quick search didn't seem to cover it.
Is it possible for the experts here in XDA to write something into Android's code to allow for a Reply All feature in SMS, like in iPhone's SMS? I'm thinking the Reply All feature must be unfixable because there is conversations all over the internet for people requesting Google to fix it. Some have even stayed with Apple because they would miss that feature too much.
And why you're at it, build in emoticons. The emoticons are only available in 3rd party apps, like GoSMS Pro and Handcent, as far as I know.

Addressing the second question here...
Which emoticons are you referring to? You can already use all the regular emotes in an SMS. ;-)
You might want to take a look at alernative keyboards to make your emoticon chatting a little easier (swiftkey has quick buttons for emotes, for example).

This is not the place to request features. if what you are looking for is in gosms, use it. Not to come off as a d*ck but this isnt burger king, they dont have your rom your way right away.
If you were find code that would be usable for this feature, it would be a better way to present your request.
Ranting aside, i believe gosms also has the reply all feature if im not mistaken. Im not sure as i dont have an iphone to compare with. But i do use gosms as my sms replacement.

First off, I'm not requesting anything special in a ROM. My question was that if any of the bright developers have the knowledge to incorporate some of the emoticons into stock mms. Perhaps I should have stated emoji and not emoticons. The ones I'm referring to ARE the ones you find in GoSMS and Handcent, but it would be nice to just use the stock app instead of a 3rd party app to be able to get those. The ones those replying above are referring to basic emoticons (I know, I probably was asking for the wrong things) that can be type in using symbols. I too have been using GoSms and Handcent for the past 2 1/2 years and know that the Reply All feature in GoSMS will respond to all, but send out individual messages, thus breaking the conversation.
Maybe iPhone uses a code that isn't native to Android because I know those 2 platforms steal all they can from each other as it is.

I don't personally because i know well what the devs go through to get a rom out and be proud of it just to hear 'well can you do this?'. The best place would be a specific roms Q/A thread, because if you post in general then lets say optimistically 3 rom developers add the feature for you, you are only going to use one rom, thus 2 of the devs just wasted their time. Also it is far easier to just get an app that does what you want instead of bloating up android with moogly eye faces. Android after all is extremely modular and is all just a collection of apps. so asking to 'build in' is really just modifying an app so you dont have to spend 30secs to download one. like i said, if gosms does what you want, download it. because being that bloaty isnt for everyone so its easier to just leave it stock and let users download what they want to add to their phones.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=524
might also work better since you are looking for features that would not be phone specific.
