Flashing Instructions below .
- First time flashing Light'ning ROM V3 to your Sidekick 4G (or coming from another ROM)?
1) Root your device and install ClockworkMod Recovery.
2) Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo
3) Do a Nandroid backup before procedding
4) WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
5) Install the ROM from /SDCARD using ClockworkMod Recovery

looks nice, although my phone already looks like that thanks to launcher pro.
Must say I'm really impressed. I'm doin my best to find bugs and havin a hard time =p
The launcher is much better... the shortcut icons are stationary and u don't have to change them every screen (previous version).
Only bug on it is when u show n hide the status bar the graphics get glitched... not a big deal at all.
So far so good man.. great rom. Thanks.

probably not since none of this is ported ics
It's a ICS clone ROM , ICS like other than that it's not like i could port real feature's.

It's the stock marketplace that's updated but i'm going to but back the original KJ2 marketplace & do a update today V2.0 will be out with more update's !

found a minor bug
the date on the clear notification bar overlaps with the notifications
it is very slick i love the clear dock at the bottom
and the market force closes-wiped data and it works fine but lost boot animation
tried to flash the n1 animation butit didnt work could have been a million reasons why though

Do a nandroid backup and after you flash the rom go back into recovery menu go to restore and then advanced restore and only restore /data then all your stuff will be back where you had it before the ROM flashing
Your the man. Best part about the sidekick is having a keyboard to map keys with for emulators.

Just finished flashing. I'm hearing Cyber Chick as I type this telling me about my bad partitions. I'll let you know if I find anything crazy. So the edit to the script to have it say 2.3.4; are there any benefits to that or just something fun to add? I'm all about that hahaha
I've had the gingerbread rom for a while now and its legit at the least, but the one thing it didn't have is a workable landscape mode on the homescreens. tried both launchers and everything.

It will have to be heavily modified to work in landscape so no.

You have to enable rotation in the menu when you first flash any rom on the SK4G. Settings> Display> Auto Rotate screen.
It won't work with TWLauncher only HeLauncher just saying . & IF you need help send me a PM & flash the ROM before commenting .

If I may ask: what "base" ROM did you use? Did you start with the Nexus S ROM, a CM7 ROM, or did you strip-down a stock Inspire ROM? I'm just wondering how close to pure "Google" experience this ROM is. You say there are limited HTC apps. Does that mean there is still some "Sense" framework in this ROM? (I'm browsing for an eventual replacement of my Gingerbeast ROM).

Base ROM is 2.36 ruu of DHD with.modded HTC default frameworks. But since there is no sense so the rom is lighter w/o any widgets or rosie from htc. And in the meanwhile u'll get htc settings n app.

I am getting this Force Close on first boot:

Any idea what that is?
Flashed this for some testing pretty solid so far.
Fixed the FC by freezing HTC location services.
Where is the boot animation stored? I looked in data/local and system/media.

Aside from the FC, how is ur experience with the ROM?
Very good. Only thing I wish was kept was the HTC lock screen. I was able to replace it but can't configure the options to custom apps.
Great signal and wifi strength, good battery. Not gonna comment on network speed as the att network here sucks.

Battery life has been good. Haven't done any logging but subjectively, I am happy.
I finally had some calls on it. Did u apply any audio fixes? I am going to try the tinny audio fix.

Not sure as i only used it once i.e the day i got my dhd lolz, but if u've got ROM manager then u must be having CMW recovery rite?

Flashing my ROM
How to flash the ROM using ODIN:
Before doing anything, make sure that al your files that you need are backed up!!! You will lose al your data!!!
1-First download the ODIN file:

2-Unpack the .zip files
3-Launch odin, you can find it in Flashing_Tools
4-Select OPS, you can find the file in Flashing_Tools
5-Check the option One Package
6-Choose in One Package the .TAR file that was in the download
7-Connect your phone in download mode (power off the phone and press VOL-DOWN, HOME KEY and the POWER KEY and hold till it shows Download.
8-Press the START-button
9-Your phone will reboot, if you see a warning triangle, press the menu key and navigate with your volume buttons to Wipe Date/Factory Reset
10-Select it with the home key and select Yes (all your data will be wiped!!!)
11-Then press reboot, your phone will reboot, FIRST BOOT MAY TAKE SOME TIME!!! DONT WORRY ABOUT IT!!!
After booted your done! But for using Mobile Data connection, you have to manually make the good APN for your provider!!! Typ in Google something like Galaxy 3/Apollo mobile internet 'your provider'. Then you will find it;-)

Because i had some problems with it. Maybe 2.0 will get JPU. Its just the first release and i still have lot to learn about developing. But i will try it in 2.0! but that may take some time.
BTW its running really smooth right now on my phone.;-)

Yes, go to settings. Select Information tab then Date & time. Use 24-hour format - turn that off.

See that button on your keyboard on the left that has a Chinese symbol followed by Abc? Press it and it will change to a bigger Abc and it will not be Chinese symbols anymore.

I'm kinda digging this ROM, at least its a break from Sense lol. Anyways, I've been tinkering with the ROM and fixed the roaming indicator. Flash this to fix it.

This ROM isn't too shabby, it's nice to try something a little different. I had some issues with TB restoring some of my apps but that may not be ROM related. Also a few of my apps aren't showing up in the market. Not sure what the issue is but haven't had time at work to try and figure it out.
Edit: Found a pretty significant bug (or maybe it's just me). If I hit the menu button inside any application, the app immediately force closes. Kind of making this unusable :/

Not happening to me. Did you change the theme in theme chooser? I've noticed on one of them I got a FC when I was hitting menu.
