Fixed by flashing ki1 modem. The kj1-6 modems werent letting me send more than 1 page of messages at once. (yea i text alot...) not a major problem, just for people who are text-crazy
Currently running.octane 2.x.
Not the roms fault. Had this problem for a while. No matter what i flash.
Problem: i cant send more than 1 page of messages. Or it gives me a error. No matter how many tries i resend, no luck. Tried messaging apps, factory reset, cache wiping, etc. Thanks.
p.s. I know that some people here like to be douches, so im saying this in advance. If the solution is posted somewhere,Instead of flaming and calling me a noob and telling me to look for it, can you please just post the link to the thread? Or you can just tell me how to fix it instead of saying "theres already a solution to this" as i dont have a computer and the xda app search doesnt work so i cant really look for it.

I don't know the solution, but you can search the forums just like a PC using the stock browser or one from the market.

I had this problem when I flashed the modem to kj6, all I did was flashed the ki3, works great now. If still on ki3, clear dalvik cache, and and fix permissions. If still not working reflash, clear, fix. That should fix it.

As you can see, I'm new here, and did my best to search (both here on the forum and elsewhere) and tried to put this in the right place. If I did something wrong, if you could politely let me know, I'll fix it.
As far as the problem goes, a couple of days ago, my phone just started having strange issues. All of a sudden it's been telling me all sorts of things are crashing, and force closing them. It's also been randomly telling me there's no sim card, and wont let me make phone calls. I'm also not receiving incoming text messages.
It's a Samsung Captivate, running Cyanogenmod 7, Mod Version: 7.0.0-RCO-Captivate-Kang
I'd try and grab screen shots, but Shoot Me can't get root privileges.
EX: "The application Email (processcom.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
^I get a similar one for the messaging app, as well as facebook, but they flash too fast to read in their entirety.
Ex: Dolphin has Crashed
An unexpected error occured forcing the application to stop. Please help us fix this by sending your error data, all you have to do is hit report.
Here's what I tried to to:
I've tried restarting, pulling the battery, and a hard shut down and restart, but no dice. I figured I'd have to restore to the stock firmware, then tried to do this with the captivate toolbox, but no dice. I think it's because Cyanogenmod 7 makes everything think its a Nexus One. So what do I do? Should I try and update cyanogenmod? restore using Odin One Click?
This was my first flash, and it'd been working okay for a few months, but all of a sudden I got a ton of problems.
If you need more info, let me know.

Do a wipe data/factory reset in cwm. Do not restore anything and see if that helps.

You can always flash stock with Odin.

Does anyone have any idea why it was doing that?
Sometimes our data with Applications and other programs may have a conflict with one rom to another.it just does.now I have found on cm7 that sometimes it can be just about anything.I just like to start fresh on any rom.

Exactly what the subject says. I tried clearing all data in the market app but that doesn't seem to be the problem. I'm running stock 2.2.2 with an OC kernel. Any help would be appreciated.

What are the symptoms that you are experiencing when you try to download an app

Try deleting dalvik cache, fix permissions. Turn off the phone for few minutes, turn it back on.
Did this started to happen after flashing kernel?
Make sure you are in a good reception area as well.

I think it did happen after kernel flashing. Sounds like a good idea. I'll try that and if it doesn't work I'll try reflashing Google apparently. I've noticed authentication errors. Barring that it's back to stock. Thanks for the advice

Same thing happened to me.. I fixed permission from Rom manager then reboot.
Now its working fine.

This same exact thing happened to me after changing kernels. I went back to stock and it was still happening. Four hours later everything was fine again. Weird.
Not only do you need to clear market data.. But make sure you clear 'download manager' data too in applications

The problem started up again and continued after flashing back to stock. Someone else said that in this thread. I'll try the download manager wipe suggestion too. Thanks for all the input. I'm on a wifi network with a strong signal so it's a stable connection... Aaaaaand... starting download... still starting download... still still starting... At least it's doing something. I'll check back in later. Thanks again!
If I wipe dalvik cache, cache, fix permissions, and reboot after letting the phone sit for 10 minutes I can download four or five apparently after which the problem returns. I've also noticed that Google talk can't seem to log in.

I installed CM7 on my infuse yesterday and having an issue. I have read alot of forums but haven't found an answer. I am having connection issues while using the phone. I have flashed different modems still doesn't change anything. When I am using the market I get connection timed out. It switches between H, 3g, and E all the time. Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

Read thru the cm7 thread in dev section is a good place to start ready to find your answer. Me personally have no data issues while on cm7

Look for the APN fix it is in many places.
My data dies when I first access the market. After I leave the market and it will come back and I have no trouble after that.
As for it switching between 4,H,3,E CM7 is giving you real connection info when other ROMS do not.

I use to have that problem all the time, I use a different Apn, fixed it now my phone only has one apn for everything. Password is CINGULAR1. Hope you find success with this, I deleted all the other apns; Facebook did it to me as well.

Hi, im new to flashing custom rom's and ive been wanting to try CM7... but i see all these posts about APN issues and bluetooth issues... and i keep chickening out. @rboone18 wud u recommend a first time user to try cm7? problem is that i dont even know if there will be a stable CM release for infuse... i would wait for that...

1) Do you require bluetooth? If yes, don't use CM7. 2) Can you read instructions? If so, there's an easy fix for the APN thing and you'll be all set. CM7 is fantastic, I've used it for a long time.
In the instructions he asks to boot into recovery and flash the rom. now when i reboot into 3e recovery theres no option to install from zip... all there is are these options: reinstall packages, delete user data, delete cache data, format internal sd card...

I like cm7 on every phone I have had, my phone runs 100% better, remember step where u flash again and to download Google apps zip to get market to get all ur apps and I'd recommend getting titanium back pro. I like backing up all my apps. Faster to load ur stuff back on phone.

apps are downloading now... i backed up me apps and data with titanium... now when i restore, my apps and data will get overwritten i assume....

Yes. You can root using SuperOneClick.
Yes it some apps don't always restore well via backup though. Like adobe I usually restore flash without data. Free version of titanium back will piss you off it stops on every app it restores.

alright. im running the 7.2RC0 build (13/14dec). its a bit buggy. I get "com.google.process.gapps" has crashed every few minutes. calendar/browser don't open at all. any help??

start over as in reinstall gapps or reflash rom? and the steps for reflashing are the same as before or something different has to be done? and this time i should avoid restoring titanium backup??
I would wipe, reflash, I only restore user apps via titanium backup. Might download Google apps again. You only have to flash once if ur on cm7, just wipe flash cm7 and then flash Google apps. Then reboot.

ok...by wipe you mean format /system from recovery and reflash? also i have this weird thing where wifi icon no longer shows up if the phone is screenlocked for some time. when you unlock the wifi comes on. is the a CM thing or some setting i need to tweak for always ON wifi... thanks for all the help!
Also should I go to th 12/13dec build or the 20 nov build thats the latest on the links???
Wipe in where recovery and flash is. I would use newest build 12/13. I just haven't had time to update yet. Wifi, not sure where setting is since I don't use wifi with screen off but in past many phones would shut off wifi when screen goes off.

Definately go with the latest 12/13 and when you are in wifi setting hit menu button and advanced settings choose wifi never sleeps
Hi, I would normally post this in the ROM forum that I downloaded, but since I'm a noob and am under 10 posts, I can't do it. I downloaded Pure Motive's ROM [ROM][VRBLK3][4.1.1][RLS14.1] GalaxyMod ¯`•._ and installed, clean install, wiped data, wiped devlik cache, and booted into ROM. Pretty quickly I get: Unfortunately, Exchange services has stopped. I did not even have time to set up my email account (which is an exchange account). I go through trying to set up email, and I still get that error.
Wondering if this is something anyone's encountered whether on Pure's ROM or another? I tried to search all the forums, and did not find a fix anywhere other than people telling you to remove any exchange accounts...but I don't have any added.
I flashed it again after wiping and clearning cache again, and that didn't seem to make a difference.

I'm on Verizon as well. Also, I'm going to flash the ROM for the 3rd time and just accept the defaults and see if that makes a difference. I did select Nova Launcher instead of stock, so maybe that could be the problem...
I tried some of the other Kernals with no luck so far as well with the issue, and reading through the ROM post I don't find anything in there about kernal issues, people seem to be using a few different with no issues.
I know on my older phones, fixing permissions we always the cure. Maybe give that a shot.

Hope someone has an answer, I'd love to flash a different ROM, and have had trouble with CM10.1 ROM's not working, but those had issues with home button not working, and i was too lazy to research solutions for those.

14.1 seemed to fix it.
Downloaded this ROM from the second link. Thought it was a bad download, as it would go through all the setup but it seems to install just fine, but when the phone reboots, the phone process immediately crashes, can't set any accounts (accounts crash), keyboard crashes, etc. Not sure what I'm hitting wrong, I've downloaded it again, wiped cache/reset, wiped dalvik, install just the rom first, set permissions, reboot into recovery, run again, install all software (launcher, factory apps, etc), but they still manage to crash (especially phone so I get no data unless connected to wifi).
Any advice? Thanks in advance
I believe thereis an issue with wifi calling, need to look into this, see if all works when not installing this, well try wiping, flashing rom only, then go back in aroma and flash anything but the removed from stock stuff. Hopefully this will be fixed soon

I absolutely LOVE this rom. I got over the .phone crashing as it doesnt effect me much it seems just crashes twice on start-up and thats it. I didnt download wifi calling and it still crashes for me. But this is seriously otherwise the best rom ive ever used. Many kudos.
Yeah. I'm having the same problem too. Basically, the phone won't work. Everything just crashes. I hope they make a fix really soon. I love this ROM.
I find it weird that GO is the SLOWEST out of any roms I've tried...and even though I don't like it, stock isn't as bad as I thought - just has bad bloat. GO has chrashed even more than stock has, but after I just did a clean stock, its faster and both previous experiences....
