Music Beta on-screen controls CM7 - T-Mobile LG G2x

This is just an FYI. I've been using the on-screen music controls with CM7 and Music Beta. Everything worked except for the play button, which seemed to activate the stock music player. I searched through the forums and the rest of the interwebs and didn't find any info. Finally, I uninstalled the stock music app and the controls work now. I hope this helps somebody!

Google navigation and music player

Hello, I'm having issues with playing music and using Google navigation. While listening to music, be it tiny shark, Pandora or music off my sdcard and using Google navigation the music gets real choppy. Cuts out every second or so. When I shut down navigation it plays fine. I'm using the latest rcmix3d. I just came from the latest virtuous rom where the problem was there as well. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Did you check the md5 prior to flashing?
If you had it on both roms it could be a hardware issue.
If the apps themselves get choppy try overclocking.

missing ICS lockscreen music controls

I recently installed ICSSGS on my captivate. Everything seems to be mostly working, but I don't have any music controls from the lockscreen. From what I have read thus far, others do have such controls....does anyone know if I need to enable them somewhere? I couldn't find any setting such as the ones I used to enable lockscreen music contols in gingerbread.
thanks.
Did you try doubletwist?

no, i was hoping to stick with the stock music player....
can someone at least confirm/deny if ICSSGS has lockscreen music controls for the native music app?

I can confirm the lock screen music controls work great with the Google music app.

Are you using AOSP Music or Google Music?
From what I understand only Google Music and a few other apps that have them enabled (PowerAmp, CyanogenMusic) will work, AOSP Music doesn't have them enabled so it wont and I believe that's the default player for ICSSGS
yes, i'm using the AOSP player. thanks for the input. i'll try google music player. though if it's anything like chrome (dead slow) it won't last long.

Now Playing widget with AutoHide

Looking for a widget that will detect PlayerPro, Pandora, Slacker mainly, that, when you start playing in that app shows the song info( with album art prefereble, and rating system for PlayerPro, thumb up and down for Pandora, and the similar function for Slacker ) but when you exit those apps hides the widget with only a "Play" button that will start the last played app.
I tried out Phantom Music Control, but didn't find that it hid correctly, or showed the ratings as described above. Maybe I'm asking way to much, and maybe it requires too much support from those particular devs of PlayerPro, Pandora, Slacker, etc... But I really feel this is would be a killer widget/app.
Let me know if anyone has something like this that integrates with WidgetLocker...
Did you end up finding anything?
Phantom doesn't seem to work with CM7 and default music player.
You could try Media Utilities just added auto hide and should work with all of those players.

Listen to music and navigation - too much to ask?

Hi all,
Running Endymion and have done some touring this week. I use copilot for navigation and wanted to listen to music at the same time. Every time I switched to the music player then back, copilot seemed to restart. Also, music was very choppy as if the phone couldn't cope. My music is sac+ 48k parametric stereo (so I can fit lots on my ad card. Ad card itself is 6xspeed.
Anyone recommend a way to navigate and listen to music at the same time? Happy to change music player, navigation program and even Rom if I can get it working well.
Thanls

I use winamp with music and sometimes play games while doing that.. Music does not stutter at all but the game seems to lag a bit from time to time (not that bad though). Haven't used endymion for some time but from what i recall it was snappy and fast, so don't think that the rom is the problem.
At the top of my head i can suggest to mute the nav software so that it and the music sw don't "fight" over which will use the speaker..
Try that and let us know.
Cheers!
Hi, I also using WinAMP for listening music. I didn't try listening music while navigate, but I'm using IGo navigation software and it didn't crash when I switch between another applications on my DS. So, I suggest, use IGo. BTW, you can find a lot of detailed maps for it in the web.
