I would love to see the HTC sense UI for cyanogenmod5. I'm a big fan of the clock widget off KiNgxKxKlair DroidEris2G1. Could this work?

Try Beautiful Widgets, and no the Sense UI and Cy mod are not capable together. Maybe the kernel will sometime but not the actual rom. BTW major off with the section try Q&A next time before you get flamed hard.

This is development. You had an extremely simple question that could've been answered in cm's thread, or better yet in Q&A if you insist that your question is important enough to warrant it's own thread. Respect gets respect, even on the internet.

No because it's so much easier to port a whole ROM over than it is to do a hybrid. Theoretically, it would be possible to take the frameworks of Sense and apply them to the source.
Besides, your analogy seems kind of flawed. It's like saying a few days ago, "If it was possible to get full 3D and Video Acceleration on 2.1 we would've already done it." And all it took was one very dedicated and intelligent coder named Cyanogen doing it.

Even if it was possible we have to remember it has been out for two days and is an experimental rom. NOBODY wants to work for a few hours for a couple days only to have a new, more stable rom come out that could potentially break the work they just finished. They would rather have a rom that is "stable" and won't be replaced within days (Meaning yes, a long-term rom that won't be updated for 2+ weeks).

By the time that happens we will have all discarded our G1's. Do remember people do this as a hobby not for a job, that's for actual devs that do it for a job.

The best dialer phone

Having tried many roms I found that fantastic sense both sense 2.1 and 3.0 all have the same phone dialer, but the 4g touch rom the telephone keypad is beautiful and very thin, someone is able to encode some of this fantastic rom dialer ? Thanks to all the cooks who do a wonderful job every day. Files attached to this dialer.

Why the wrong section ? Like others pointed above you are not developing anything , so it should be posted in general .. I like the it , thanks for the tip

dialer looks alot nicer then a standard sense dialer. def would be nice to see this in forthcoming roms.
ps. i hate sense's dialer. its the 1 feature i think aosp has better

Hum, for a Sense base it may be better than the sense dialer, but you can find better now in android market.

This is a new sense dialer that is why I suggest to include it in new roms.

This dialer is not new. It is the Sense Espresso dialer Tmo used since the MT Slide. It is also in Double Shot. Anyway it would be cool. I tried porting it in the past and it caused many issues with the rom. Mods might want to move this to the themes section yeah?

Lee's rom is killer too. Fast and great battery life!
S-Off makes a HUGE difference with people getting this phone.

well i went for the revolution HD, have to say im happy with it. but with there getting more and more roms available and i dont know which is the best overall etc, also each time do upgrade to newer version do we have to set up homescreen n all apps again. or is this just from one rom maker to another ?

[ROM][MIUI]05-07-2012 LaxiMIUI 1ST EDITION W/ Beats Audio!

This is my 2nd port and I'm still a newbie so please guide me along if I made any mistakes.
This time I've made a totally new MIUI 2.3.7 ROM which has beats audio implemented with Poweramp Music Player, at the same time battery efficient and smooth
Screenshots will be up later.
This ROM is fully tweaked to the max and it also includes Sony's Bravia Engine, XLoud Engine, And Motorola's Crystal Talk (may contain bugs).
So.. Hope You Enjoy This ROM and give a Thanks and Review This ROM!
FYI: Some part of the system has chinese words like the 4 in 1 reboot and status bar(just do a normal reboot and it will be fine). So if anyone knows how to edit it mind letting me know? Thanks

It has ICS inside but I couldn't get it to work. Maybe later you can try it out and maybe tell me where is the problem located?

Easiest way would be to just start off with working ICS ROM and modify it to your liking.

But the crucial thing that I think is the most important is the camera. If a camera doesn't work ( For Me ), how am I supposed to capture what I liked most and during those memorable moments?
And 2nd thing, I couldn't get the beats audio mod to work on ICS for some weird reason.

I thought the Xloud engine was a big nono for our speakers, possibly damaging them. Was that issue ever fixed?

if u port Existz latest base to miui, im sure 480p will work since he got 480p to work.

Yes Xloud is said to be damaging the speakers. In case of Camera I think it does work, 480p should work. You could just take an AOSP ROM and apply MIUI interface.

Until we have official ics I know I at least would prefer gb miui. I've tried blind's and dekky's ics miui and not fully working. Will test when uploaded

If I would have to choose I'd rather get a 720p picture which is clearer and better in quality.

Don't Worry. The Aroma Installer allows you to choose if you want to add in the mod or not. So you can ignore the XLoud Engine If you want.

I'm trying to make this ROM able to have GB and ICS at the same ROM so that people can get to choose to pick what they want but couldn't get it working. So maybe after I upload mind helping me through?

Just tested ... great rom but it is not fully translated... a lot of chinese... but really smooth

In case of giving people the choice I think it would rather be proof of concept than any use. When you are looking for a ROM you know whether you want GB or ICS. What you are proposing is great as a concept, I admire your creativity and ambition, but in reality you will be forced to download two ROM packages at once regardless to whether you want it or not.
For BEATS try using ...Awesome...'s package, it's AwesomeBEATS, you can find it in DHD Development Forum. I tried it on ICS and it worked.

I wanted to have GB and ICS selection in one rom because for me sometimes I find that ICS starts to becomes uncomfortable for me (not for IceColdSandwich which I always uses its test roms and works great) and also some apps always have problems on ICS.
So I want to allow the user to be able to just choose what they want and if they feel like ICS is not what they want(as it cannot fully theme) they could just go to recovery, flash this ROM again and just choose GB. And normally 2 MIUI ROM would just take up around 200-300MB, which is around the same as any Sense ROM.

Sense 4 ROM?

Hey. I've been using Android Revolution for a while and it is extremely stable and the kernel is awesome on it but I've been thinking about going to a sense 4 ROM. I've been looking around the forum and looking on youtube and a couple of the 4 roms but I'm wondering what's the best and MOST stable sense 4 ROM?

I think Venom is the best sense 4 rom for now. Very customizeable and great support ;}

@OP you will get lots of answers to a question like this but the BEST answer is the one quoted above (originally by wildcontigo). We all think differently, we all use the phoes in different ways so different ROMs suit different people, you need to try a few and decide whats best for you

Agree with Jonny. The work he does is amazing and his roms are very very cool! But I do like viper roms. However that might be because I am on the Venom team If you are new to roms I'd suggest you try his and see how you get on they are super stable and the man is a genius coder as well!!!!!
