Please read the stickies and the bible. This problem is common with people who refuse to look into things before flashing.

It would be hard to help you if you don't specify what you did to your phone.
Having that white screen is very strange.

you need to do the unbrickable mod. your PBL is borked. Look in the dev section for it by Adam Outler

Thanks all,
I have this file downloaded and tjis have all necesary

ohhhh! burn! bella has jokes today.
believe me people are working hard on gb. both aosp and samsung official. the problem with porting is the kernel. the radios ram and other things are different from the prior sgs phones. we could probably have cm7 if we donated a phone to the cyanogenmod team but we kept our donations to other people instead who are woking on it but it will take longer.
the problem with samsung official is we need to wait on samsung.
for future reference if you have a question ask it in general. and do a search first. it is best to keep less clutter on the forums and there is no need to answer questions that have answers elsewhere.
Mod please close this thread.

NOW BACK TO DEVVING!

I997UCKK1

Because I can't post in the dev forum, I post here and hope not to offend anyone.
I have flashed the I997UCKK1 rom and used DooMLoRD_v1_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su to get root.
Seems to work well at the moment.

All ready in the development forum no need for it here really

Can anyone please extract the modem I997UCKK1 from the file in the aforementioned post? I don't want the whole collection.

This new modem is awesome on the Rogers network, I reached 8Mps down and a crappy 1Mps up. This is the highest I ever reached!
Here are my other results in and out door.

Looks pretty good thanks! I reinstalled the ROM and it is a little better, but I think more sensitive to positioning than other modem/roms. May just be me.

Is it possible to dual boot a stock and modified ROM?

I use my work phone as my personal phone and am going to be getting an Infuse soon. I've had several Android phones before, but only on my own account. I really enjoy modding and would like to continue to do so. However, I believe they will likely push an IT policy onto the phone, so I need to have daily access to the stock ROM.
Is this possible?

Maybe before you get the other infuse you can learn that this is in the wrong section.

Yeah! What they said. Q&A would be your best place to post a question.
But in the mean time...check this out.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465661
would this be hard if you save your data on your phone ?
so it should be
/data1
/data2
?
and if you save your apps on sd, how about which rom gets to see sd apps? which dont?
as far as I know its not currently possible on the infuse. the bootloaders aren't designed for it.
it can be done on the old htc hd2 and maybe other HTC phones that can use the hd2 bootloaders.
Let me see if i can get the iron fist to move or delete this post.

Imagine that. It gets moved into the Q&A section and dies.

[Q] how to root my GT S5570 SAFELY with Android 2.3.5??

Hey guys! I'm new to XDA and I have a question: How can I root my Galaxy Mini SAFELY? I already broke 4 phones and my parents are getting really mad if I break another one. So yeah... Does anyone know how to do this? I already tried SuperOneClick but didn't worked though. I don't want to use Gingerbreak because my previous phone bricked by that crap.

EDIT: So I just found this site and I was wondering if it would work with my phone too.
Some detailed info about my phone:

flashing issues

EDIT - sorry if this is considered a question, i read the sticky and feel free to close or move this.
i got this from a friend, was going to try putting CM10 on it. Followed the instructions of http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/wiki/Samsung_Captivate:_Full_Update_Guide and got this jibberish after the ATT logo, then it went right back into reboot.

So i went on here and found odin, via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989&page=1.
I got it into download mode and have the droid with the digging triangle, and odin started. But now 3 hours later nothing has happened. Still sitting at this screen.
I cant post in the proper development thread, but not sure where to go from here, feels like its froze. :\
See Trusselo's Guide that is Stickied Thread in the General Forum...that pixelated screen is because u don't have the i897 Gingerbread bootloaders. See his OP to get those and also how to flash ur Rom of choice afterwards.
