Hello.
I have problem with my wife`s chacha. Yesterday it stop sync with google account (gmail, contacts and rest). I tried reboot with fastboot disabled, recheck autosync, and manually sync. Nothing help.
When I try to sync manually in sync settings, phone start to sync and do nothing (icon of sync is freeze - always its there).
Rest of phone is working normally - only sync is broken.
-I tried on 3G and WiFi
-Autosync is on (i tried recheck it)
-data in background is on
Chacha is on stock firmware - android 2.3.3 - 1.18.401.1 without root and S-OFF.
My account - on my phone is working normally.
Any ideas - i`m not happy when i think of hard reset...
I know there is a small chance only, but can you check if her phone's internal memory is full? I've heard some cases that when this internal memory is full it will stop sync.
If it's the case, simply empty it by moving applications to SD card, deleting cache of apps, etc.
Thanks!
My wife have only 3-5 apps instaled so i dont think about low memory problem on phone. But that was that!
So i must wait for S-OFF for this phone - 150 MB its terrible LOW for phone memory.
Anyway Thanks for help. Problem is Solved.
It's always the internal memory. Sync will fail when not enough space is available.

Hey guys,
I'm trying to stop my phone from using background data automatically before I turn on data (It costs alot per kb here).. I was wondering if you could offer me a hand. Note that I use Cyanogenmod (I'm not sure which version, I purchased it with this) I've installed TrafficInfo to monitor what's using data, and I've narrowed it down to just 2 apps left..
Calendar Sync Adaptor/Google Services Framework/Contacts Sync Adaptor
This is still using data frequently (2.8kb download/39kb upload since I booted 10mins ago) even though turned sync off. I've tried turning auto sync on and then unticking each option, and also I have tried turning auto sync just off.. neither seem to do the trick.
Maps [brut]
This one only uses 300bytes download/1.2kb upload when I turn the device on but I'd like to see it go anyway. I've installed a start up manager and removed maps from start up and it's still doing this.
So, any help with these 2 problems would be appreciated! Also I don't want to turn background data off because I still want to be able to use the market if I choose to
Cheers
Hi
Try this..... DroidWall - Android [email protected] the Android Market
Its been a week or two that htcsense mainly stopped syncing. When i press Sync All into Account and Sync nothing is happening. Anyone else experienced(ing) this?
It occurred with me when the phone is low on internal memory, on the chacha and legend.

Mine is very low. Will try to free up some space and come back with the results.
Try the tutorial from this section. Factory data reset and stuff...

I was going to but i cant before SMS and contacts are synced. Since when i backup and then it syncs with HTCSENSE i end up with double contacts and sms.
Hmm, mainly yes you have very low free space. Try to move to SD card as many downloaded apps as you can and then try to sync again. Or just remove them, sync, reset, re-sync, re-install, move to SD card.
HTC Sense still not syncing. This is getting on my nerves
I removed acccount and added it again, still nothing.
You need at least 25MB free space. Do you have less than that? If you have more (40 MB for example) then that's a problem. Try doing this:
- Go to Settings
- Accounts & sync
- Select one account
- Manually sync contacts, calendar, SMS (whatever you want) one after another and see which is causing the failure.
Also, you have mentioned HTC Sense not syncing. Try checking into HTC Sense website at: https://www.htcsense.com/ and see if your account is working properly there. Try to contact HTC as well (but they'll probably tell you to reset your phone).
My Htc cha cha doesn't sync the calendar with gcalendar. Why?
Then, really i can save the sms ?

Hy alex What'sup? I tried to do the factory data reset but the sistem doesn't reinstall the free app that i see on my market. What can i do to have that? It will be better for next time use titanium backup?
Is everything synced and setup? It should be downloading automatically once you connect to the internet and sync all accounts.
Which app isn't the phone installing?
all the app. i must reinstall manually all the app. The app that i download are only free. i must set up something in particular. In privacy i tip "backup" same problem in my htc desire and in my htc cha cha
When you have performed your initial setup, have you deactivated the "Keep my settings backed up" in the last screen of the Google account setup? It's normally activated by default. These are the settings that I am using.
no i didn't do this. but, if i deactivete this, what's happen?
I was just asking to see if that's the reason it won't resync. I thought that you deactivated it. Check my guide under the memory issues and activate those two also.
Can i deactiveted now or i must deactiveted only after "factory data reset"?
i must deactiveted from "privacy" ---> backup my setting
They all need to be activated. I asked just to check
Yes my friend, restore app and back up, in privacy area are all correct activeted.
So please tell me what i must to do to restore all my app
1) back up with titanium?
2) how can i restore after a reset? I didn't s-on my htc.
3)The reason could be that my cha cha is branded? I download "apn italian" from market do you know another way to unlock?
So please tell me why if i create an even on my android calendar this does'nt sync in gcalendar? Gmail sync the contact and not the event.
Hi all,
My problem is simple to describe, but hard to solve I presume.
I want to use an app such as FolderSync to sync in real time the contents of my DCIM (camera) folder with an FTP.
It was working fine on my S6 Edge, but on my S7, and with the same settings, the sync won't manage to run by itself. EVER.
If I launch it by hand, it syncs folders correctly. But it just won't launch automatically.
I first thought it was a problem with the app FolderSync itself. But it's not; tried it's competitor Titanium Media Sync, again, no problem when running in manual, but it won't run by itself upon changes.
Tried both internal DCIM and SD DCIM folders, same problem.
Tried rooting the device with Stock ROM and giving root permissions to FolderSync, all the same.
Tried a Custom ROM (running same version, aka BL BPHJ and 6.0.1), all the same.
Tried all possible settings in the apps, all the same.
However, my Hubic app (which is the French equivalent of Dropbox that can detect photos by itself and store them online) has no problem detecting new pictures and uploading them.
Anybody knows why Galaxy S7s won't run automatic syncs?
Thanks.
Hello, i've tried now setting up a folder via FTP and setting to sync while charging, and it is not working.
Tried with s930f on custom rom (superman) and root granted on sd
EDIT- tried again, setting 5 min as automatic sync, and it works
Yes, but I don't to plan it for every 5 minutes, that's the point. It would consume a lot of battery. I want to monitor the changes and run upon.
Not sure if related but there is a bug that causes any external device such as a computer to lose write privileges to the phone. I had to factory restore to fix it

the 5 mins was a TEST to check if it works automatically, im not using it every 5 mins as routine
Hello everybody,
it's been about two days since i first encountered the problem of a message popping up, saying "The process 'android.process.acore' has been stopped" (might be slightly vague translation, sorry).
By now, i've traced the error back to the Contact Storage.
I've tried all of the following:
- wipe dalvik-cache
- turn off sync with Google Contacts
- alls combinations of
--> disable Contacts
--> disable Contacts-Storage
-->clear Contacts data
-->clear Contacts-Storage data
I've also checked all Contacts for non-ASCII-Characters but could not find any anormalities (besides it's been a while since i last changed/added/deleted any contact), but as the error occurs with sync switched off and cleared data, i don't think any part of my contacts data is causing the Problem...
Yet, the problem remains unchanged: whenever Contacts-Storage is accessed by any means, the error occurs.
I haven't got any clue what else could help, but maybe anyone of you does...
btw: im using a LG Nexus 5 running a rooted Android 5.0.1
And due to some configurations that cannot be properly saved, neither a factory reset nor a software upgrade are feasible solutions for me
desperate regards,
EDIT:
the error does not occur in safe mode, and syncing works fine there as well, so i guess, the only option ist to successively uninstall all downloaded Apps until i find the one causing the Problem...
OK, my HTC M8s (stock ROM, no recent flashing mods) has been playing up lately, seemingly just battery issues.
Today however it rebooted, and it's just lost its sh*t. Apps that were moved to the SD card are now lost/not showing up, my call history is blank (but contacts, photo's and other data are OK), and apps that were seemingly all up to date have suddenly decided they need updating again - these are not new apps either, they're like old HTC apps that were not even in use, and I doubt have all suddenly been updated.
It looks to me like some "cache" or storage area on the phone has been zapped, and reset to like a new phone. But my data seems (mostly) to be there, and apps that I installed (to main memory) are OK too, although their settings seem to have gone too (eg: one banking app is asking to re-verify setup info)
I just re-downloaded an app that was missing, to get it back again. The app installed OK. Upon checking the app settings however, it had located it again on the SD card (I did not do this, it somehow "remembered" where it supposed to be from earlier), but the settings and data of the app were not restored/visible.
Google settings too, like Play Store preferences (don't put apps on home screen) have also been lost and app permissions seem to have also been reset (eg: mail needed me to allow access to this and that again)
Anyone else had this?! Any ways to fix it? Seems very freaky and worrying...
