[MODS][TWEAKS]**Miui 1.11.11 Extras****[11/15/11] - HTC Sensation

Well, after several requesting this thread, i decided to go ahead to make it easier to find. I started one in the Apps/Themes section, but you guys were quick to point out it should have been here...lol
Miui 1.11.18 Mods
Extended Settings 1.11.18 (extended settings now with new options)
**Just flash after wiping cache & dalvik cache
Ok guys, here is a picture that show the exact areas that you touch to pull the App Drawer down. Of course this is after you have enabled it in Control Panel App. The area is at the very bottom edge of the statutus bar...it takes time to get use to it. You can determine whether you use left, center, or right.

No, thank you for coding it! ;-)
Just read @ Modaco that Trip is also releasing a new ROM this evening.
(Gonna try that, cause 1.11.4 by Scott isn't really waht i expected...)
No offense, i know he's done a ****load of work on his own. He's getting there, but these things just take time, i guess...
Anyway, keep up da good work you guys!

Hmmm, is there any way you can take es out of the package? I really want haptic feedback and autobrightness tweaks, but I prefer not having ES

Just added to OP. Let me know how it works for you.

Forgive my ignorance, but can't things like mounting system be included in the updater-script to make things easier for the flashers?
This one seems to usually work:
Code:
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mount", "/system");

Yeah jdeloach,I'm also having problems with auto brightness..It doesnt work,or at least I don't see it working..
For example,I manually set up brightness of the screen to the brightest value, then I turn auto brightness on but screen stays so bright, suggesting that it hasnt changed brightness..Hope you understand?
ES&haptic work good!
Also, could it be due to this ES that some of my apps are runing bit strange, like xda app loading screen is not full screen or off centered?
Just to show how it looks...The white part at the bottom was never there before..

Hi friend, please add this to your Mods and tweaks post thanks!

[ACS][WIP][MOD]Am / pm toggle in settings

This is something I been working on for the better part of the day. I can use some testers and some fresh eyes from someone thats familiar with smali.
What this mod does is add a am/pm toggle switch in settings apk. This allows you to remove am/pm as you please. This mod consist of services.jar and settings.apk. This was orginaly created for the vibrant from s0niqu3 and his thread can be found here
On my phone the toggle is there in settings/date and time but it dosnt change the status bar like its suppose to. Someone else tested for me and the get a UID mismatch and settings disappear. If you dont know what your doing or how to fix something when it breaks please dont bother flashing this.
Your flashing this at your own risk so dont hold me responsible. Please report back any findings so i can get this to work. The source can be found on s0niqu's thread.

Could always just keep it as a separate flashable for those who want to use it
Can you also add a toggle to just disable the clock entirely? Most of us have clock widgets, sort of redundant to also have it in the notification bar.

True - but there was a working Gingerbread theme for DK28-based CyanogenMod. Not sure how that was done though.
I have no use for this mod as I use 2400 format, but subscribed anyway as I have friends who are still stuck on that backwards time formatting.

Scratch that previous comment... waaay more complicated after looking at the differences in source.. will be quite the project.
It could be almost directly ported I think... my biggest question is do the .line ### differences between the Smali because of the Mod or because they are sourced from different phones..?
I'm reviewing DateTimeSettings.smali right now..

The problem is I already got all the changes in there. I just need to figure out why the tiggle don't work. I may have missed typed something and now need to find it

Did you change all the ".line ###" to match? I don't understand the function of the .line commands yet.
The settings.apk changes seem simple in comparison to StatusBarPolicy.smali...
If I had to guess the error is in there somewhere, I don't suppose logcat or anything dumps any useful info?

While I just typically hide the whole notification bar, I wanted to say great work on this mod. I know it bugs alot of people. Honestly, android should include a toggle for the entire clock by default.
All this xml work really makes me miss the window mobile registry... Much simpler days..... Keep up the great work..
mystery bro, this is sick. i'll be looking into it as well hopefully today, would rock to get this working!
Are you going to make one for no time also,I cant do anything with smali...

[THEME] Dread's Jager and Monster theme for CM7 Theme Chooser HDPI only 4/23/2011

Thought I would post this here too (I have an Evo Shift and my GF has an OG Evo) since its for HDPI devices. Just in case anyone likes this sort of theme, lol. This theme is a theme made by request. Jagermeister and Monster energy drinks, very green. Cleaned up the settings icons, created new icon and preview pic, themed the notification and power control icons green, themed some application icons, themed browser, mms, email, gmail, google quick search, phone, launcherpro, market (different shade of green), facebook, contacts, fancy widgets green with Monster logo and probably other apps I don't remember.
Disclaimer:
I'm not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone.
Instructions for new Theme Chooser version:
1. Download and install the APK (make sure you have "Unknown sources" selected in "Application settings").
2. Go into your apps and select "Theme Chooser".
3. Select "Dreads_JagerAndMonster".
4. It will say "Theme error. Sorry, this theme is missing assets for your device's screen size.", ignore this and select "Apply anyway" (this is a known issue with the method I used to create it - assets aren't missing and it will work just fine
5. Reboot phone to make sure everything takes correctly, enjoy
Instructions for notification power widget:
1. Press "menu".
2. Select "Settings".
3. Select "CyanogenMod settings".
4. Select "Interface".
5. Select "Notification power widget".
6. Select "Indicator color".
7. Change the color to match the theme.

When I get/send a text, the rom sometimes has issues changing back to 3G from 1X. If I put the phone to sleep, and power it back on a min later, it's usually always back to 3G. Or I just toggle the mobile network.
My 3g speeds are also slow with this Rom, I have always had this problems with miks roms, anyway to fix this?

Since it was just an update I just flashed over the existing ROM. Wiped dalvick and cache and flashed. Sense wouldn't load initially and had to reboot but no problems since... may not be the ideal way of doing it but that's how I always flash any AOSP ROM update.
You can do it that way. It's just I'm used to doing a full wipe. Found that I run into a lot less issues, if any when I do a full wipe. Just a heads up, my 3G seems to be working great. So does USB and WiFi tethering. Might just be the area your in has bad service.

sounds like you have an ip conflict. go to settings - wifi and you will see "error". reboot the router/modem/phone and see if the problem persists

Did a restart of the phone and initially thought it may have been a bad flash/download but it keeps doing it. It doesn't even populate the networks that are around. I don't even get a chance to try to connect to any. When I try to add the network manually it says that it is unable to add the network and wifi is turned off again.
Edit: Also the MAC address says unavailable under the advanced menu. I don't know if this makes a difference but I would think that it should show whether or not it is connected to WiFi.

Ok guys this is Konikubs Elite Series rom updated with the latest OTA kernel and the wifi is fixed.I kept everything intact, nothing was changed as far as the graphics/theme goes and no tweaks added, its as original as you can get. This rom is fast and smooth,so i hope you guys will like the new updated Elite Series IV.The actual problem i was having with the wifi issue was a corrupt driver.I also had to edit the market updater to keep the market from losing the transparency, otherwise it will update and go to the default theme.
Discalimer:I'm not held responsible for what happens after you download this rom,if you follow the install directions, there will be no problems.
Installation:
1)Download the rom to your desktop
2)Connect your phone to your computer
3)Drag and drop the rom onto your sd card
4)Right click the icon in your taskbar and eject your phone
5)Go into recovery and do a full wipe(everything,BUT SD CARD!!!!DO NOT WIPE SD CARD!!!!)
6)Go to flash zip, then find zip to flash and install the rom
7)First boot after wiping takes longer, but when you finish the set-up,go to system update and update your profile and PRL,then your golden.

I'll throw my suggestions in again... Tommytomatoe's Legacy Classic rosie (permission pending of course) and an original HTC keyboard in black. I know the seperate quick setting tab in the drop down is everyone's favorite but I really like Koni's small icon quick settings at the top of the drop down. Maybe a way to alter which settings show up there.
I like those suggestions. I would like to see an adherence to the original with regard to theming, wallpaper, etc. Koni's creativity and the clean smoothness of the ROM were what made it unique, and a fan favorite.
Team Viper Lives!
All menu backgrounds a transparent black with white text. Swype themed black.
The clock widget and wallpaper are essential. I've yet to find a more stunning clock. Maybe just update the center of the eclipse with the ES4 label.
This was my post that contained the link to the original's review on The Droid Demos (credits to Brent!)

Just for those that may not remember what a great piece of work Koni gave us, way back when...
I will update the base and try not to touch anything else,i will however add battery tweaks and such, update apk's,crap like that, everything else will stay in tact.

That sounds perfect!
I'm heading to west coast, so my hours are going to be screwed up for the week. Let me know if you need help with anything, Diablo.

I like the idea of the Legacy Rosie, too. A ot of Tommy's tweaks would work well with this ROM, and I can do something for the stock Wallpaper. I had made and ES II wallpaper at one point that was nice.
Just one thing, Koni had a unique shade of a deep blue that I just love.
It's very close to #0e06b3 for anyone themeing this.

Yeah, when I watch Brent's video its the blue that jumps out at me. The blue eclipse wallpaper, and with the transparent notification screen it looks so awesome.

Thats sounds great,i'll stick it in,i'm working on a beta release now,i have been donated to,so i have decided to let the donator(wgallt)take over testing,if he/she refuses,i will post that i have a opening for testers.Donators will have first choice of course.I will have a test rom ready tonite,i of course will test it first before uploading it to testers,so to make sure it boots and installs correctly.
The original look was awesome. Cosmetic tweaks should be flashable options/add-ons
