Hi everyone! Thank you for your help in getting CM up to a flawless standard! We are now almost ready to deploy CM 1.5 - it will include MMS blocking, Class0 auto replies and many other new and very cool features.
We need your help now to iron out any remaining bugs before we embark on a daemon rebuild. Please download the app from the market and get testing! Here are the issues we want to address specifically:
- If you have problems regaining 3G after the telephony restart. This should have been fixed. If not, please try "Slow radio restart" in Debugging and report your results!
- Issues moving list priorities on Light or Dark theme. Again, if you have issues, please switch to the other theme, try again and then report back.
- Notification color schemes. We are interested if the new notifications comply with the majority of frameworks.
Thank you in advance for all your great work, this ultra-awesome app is as much a child of yours as it is of ours

This is a fully functional application. However, after a 24 hour demo period it will start nagging you to buy the Key, which will remove all nag
screens and timeouts from the interface. The nag screens are pretty light though, so users who dont want to spend can live with them.

Great, just great! Better even than your own Root Call Blocker
Any issues to report? We are working on a new build, so now is the time...
I am sorry guys , but no issue to report so far
Thats good news
So, has anyone had a chance to do some more testing?
Been using the free version for just over a few weeks and haven't run into any problems so far. Running ARHD 6.0.2 on HTC Sensation and it runs perfect. Just purchased a license, literally 10 mins ago.
Trying to convince my folks to install it on their phones.
Will update if I see any issues.
Curious what the difference between Root Call Blocker and Call Master is? I noticed you have them both on the market, but they seem very similar. Does either have any advantages or different features?

Yes, they are different. RCB is for simple folk, CM for advanced users. Look in the signature for a feature rundown. Or maybe just try them both and see for yourself...
By the way, CM is on sale at $4.98 - thats $3 off the usual price. Happy New Year!

I think I'll be picking up cm, seems to do everything I need. Will I lose any features of rcb or is rcb a simplified version of CM?
Also, is it normal for my phones radio to lose signal then start back up after enabling CM? It's starts right back so no big deal, but just a little strange.

Not quite. CM is the evolution of RCB - built for maximum flexibility, whereas RCB is built for brute force and simplicity. You will only gain features.
Our root telephony daemon replaces android's standard RIL (Radio Interface Layer). The moment when your network connection is lost during startup is when we inject the daemon into the telephony service. This is normal. Its what we pride ourselves on.

Ah I see. I figured it was something along those lines, but wasn't sure if it was a rom issue or not.
That being said, I will be picking up CM. I love the flexibility it offers and seems very dependable.
Have you considered adding a feature to hide the app from the drawer, similar to Shady SMS, where you have to dial a code in your phone app to open the app? That's the only feature I wish was available.

Hello all! I had a thread but it was locked because it was a paid app. Now, there is a free one to check out. It's called Prox Lite and it has just been added to the Android market.
Prox makes use of the phone's proximity sensor and accelerometer to initiate an action. Prox figures out what orientation you are holding the phone and then activates that action when you swipe your hand across the proximity sensor. Prox Lite has 4 actions:
*Flat - Emulate home button
*Toward - Expand and contract notification panel
*Left - Launch phone dialer
*Right - Launch browser (google.com)
All you have to do is turn on the service through the app and then tilt the phone in the direction you are trying to activate the action for and then pass your hand over the proximity sensor and it will activate the action for that direction.
You can amaze your friends, and feel like a Jedi. Imagine the look on your friend's faces when you do things without even touching the phone itself. Just to ease your mind, Prox is disabled when the screen is off and when you are in a call. Normal proximity sensor usage is preserved during these situations to you don't have to worry about Prox doing things when you don't want it to

If you have an issue where it doesn't show up in the market or it says that your device is incompatible, I have made Prox Lite available to XDA peeps via direct apk. If your device will allow install from the market, please use the link above, otherwise, click here to download the apk directly. Downloading from the market allows for easier tracking so I would appreciate it if you would download it from there This is for the members that cannot find the version because of certain software...
P.S. Some users are having trouble with making this work properly. If you are having issues with the left and right actions, try just a slight tilt and then a swipe. Refer to the video for an example of this. Also, different phones have different proximity sensors and some of them just happen to work better than others. Give it a try to see what you think and don't forget to leave a rating in the market. I hope you enjoy this app

This is really cool. My biggest concern right now, having only just tried it for a few minutes, is potential battery drain. If it doesn't end up being too bad, i may consider trying the full version. It would be nice to be able to hide the notification bar icon, but the full version may already have that.
Battery drain is really not all that bad. The listeners are unregistered when the screen goes off. During normal phone use during the beta a few months ago, Prox was only using around 3 - 4 % battery during a normal day. But alas, this depends entirely on how much you actually use the phone itself. If your screen is on for the better part of the day, then drain will occur. But under normal use, it really isn't that bad. Thanks for the feedback

Yeah. I was originally going to put it into the Productivity category on the market, but I think it's more of a novelty than an actual productive applications. It's just cool to show people. There are some things in the paid version that can be put to actual use though. There is a Timer mode that activates an action based on how long you cover the sensor. It could be useful in a car dock or a cradle at home.

I picked up the pro version. So far it's pretty solid. Battery drain is pretty much non-existent, maybe 2% with a lot of screen time.
Some things I would like to see:
Tasker integration (this would be the best addition by far).
A combination of the Timed and normal types so you could hold over the sensor longer for a different option.
Being able to hide the icon in notifications.
Media button options like Previous Track, Play/Pause, Next Track.
Simulating a long-press of the search button to bring up Voice Actions.
Profiles that automatically change based on what app you're in.
Thanks for making this, I've been using it a lot today, and it has already become habit. Keeps my screen cleaner, too.

Im glad that you're liking it! A lot of the things you have mentioned have already been pointed out to me and I am thinking which ones will actually be possible. Some of the things will require root access. But I have a summer job atm (10 1/2 hour days) so I am not really tinkering with it right now. When I get back into school mode, you can pretty much expect to see some if not all of this added to the pro version. I appreciate the feedback and be on the lookout to some awesome future updates
P.S. please leave a comment and rating in the market

It is not currently on any other market but the Android Market. I may add it to some of the ones you have mentioned but it may be a bit before it gets there.
My portal says that it should show up as compatible for the Desire HD. I see that you are running MIUI so that may be the reason for it not showing up. Some custom ROMs and leaked builds of Android cause this and I have no reason why.

It warns in case of an incoming collision. It also shows the distance of the car in front of you.
And it can takes snapshots at a touch of your finger.
But one other great feature is that it tells you where you have parked using google maps and by taking a photo of what the camera last saw.

Ads in the Notification Area.
Dont update to the newest Version. (around 9. Mai 2012)
You will receive at random times push Ads in the Notification Area without accutaly having started the app. There is absolutly no hint to which programm is responsible for them until you uninstall iOnRoad and they stop. Very annoying and the reason for its recent negativ rating. I hope they are scrambling to fix this and might have fixed it already but I would just stay away from this app. The reason for my disgust ist that the developer does not seem to find it important to inform customers about his error or has done it on purpose. Either way is the wrong way.
Here is the mail I got back from iOnRoad Support Team. Thats what got me mad but to be fair my support request was not very diplomatic. For that it was probably acctualy a preaty calm answear.
Hi,
If you do not wish to get the ads you can upgrade to the pro
version here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.picitup.iOnRoad.pro
Or
disable them in the "About iOnRoad" section in iOnRoad's settings.
Best regards,

I wish they would make the Rating system more precise. There are a bunch of factors that could help in making decisions.
Overral App Rating
Overral Rating of the Developer
Version Rating
Another thing I would not mind seeing as a Customer is a precise reason why a App needs certain Access Rights. That would maybe stop Wallpaper Programms to request about every access right there is for every other reason then the app was acctualy intended for.
i guess you are right, but if you actually disable ads from settings do they appear again? i can not test. i have moved away from android until Galaxy S3
a cool application, since i cant drive.. and slow connection to connect to gps too, maybe i use it later..

Well I am not sure the developer even understands what Ads we are all talking about. He either does not give a .... or he thinks everything is normal and we are talking about the normal Ads in the Programm. Either way over the past 2 days he earned himself over 100 1 Star Ratings for the App. It would probably be higher if People would even know that the Ads are comming from the iOnRoad App. If I would be him I would pull the Mai 9th Version off the Market and revert back to the last version that worked.

Hi everyone. Im one of the developers of SwitchMe, and app that allows multiple secure logins into separate installations of android on a single device. The pr is after the break.
I really need a few people to check into some issues people on some roms have been experiencing. There are some warnings involved:
- testers must perform a full nandroid backup before using the app, it is not our responsibility if you start getting boot loops or whatnot
- if you report results or bugs, please use the "Write to us" function in the app whenever possible, and always describe the issue in the header of the logs you send
- if you post here, bes sure to include your device type and rom
- if you have apps installed on sd, be sure to mention that as well
--------------------------------------------------------------------
SwitchMe is a unique application for root users that allows you to log in and out of multiple installations of Android just as you would on a desktop computer.
The technology behind SwitchMe saves all of your applications and data, protects it and stores it as a file in memory. You can then log out of an
account and log into a fresh installation of Android or another account with its own unique content.
You may create as many profiles as the memory is capable of holding. Some of these may require very little free memory because they contain few apps,
others will be larger as they contain many applications and lots of cache and data.
Why is this functionality useful?
Privacy - the most obvious benefit is that you can securely share one device among multiple users, which gives you privacy and peace of mind.
Testing - if you are a developer, you can use profiles as clean sandboxes to test your applications and their interaction with the system.
Gaming – with multiple installations of Android on a single device, you can now play online MMOs as different characters.
Speed - the games your kids play slow down your tablet, but with SwitchMe you can easily create profiles without games or instant messengers.
Battery life - when the battery is low but there are important emails or documents to edit later, switch to a profile which only contains these essentials.
These of course are only suggestions - there are plenty of other uses for the functionality SwitchMe offers.
Market link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=fahrbot.apps.switchme
The Lite version allows the creation of two profiles, enough to test on.

Why do you say boot manager will never have support on the kindle fire?
Considering their progress over the last year and a half - 6! new devices - it will take forever.

More stable Fast switch implementation

Hello all,
I spent my summer of 2013 developing my first Android app- NetLive.
It allows you to monitor your internet data transfer rate while also showing the app that is using the most data at the current moment. It runs both in the notification drawer or as a widget, so you always have access to your transfer rate information.
I stopped development for awhile, but these past few months I have been hard at it. Initially I was only going to update it to support Lollipop, but I ended up basically rewriting the whole thing to address the main gripes many users had.
Unfortunately, I had to drop support for Android versions before 4.3 because it was causing many users serious issues. Basically, I am using four API calls that may work on Android versions prior to 4.3, but it is not guaranteed. As a result, in previous versions of NetLive I was using a hack to get around this, but it was causing major battery life issues for some devices. It was a tough decision, but I think the best move was to drop support for those users that were getting a bad experience. For those curious, the API calls I am referring to are from the TrafficStats class: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/net/TrafficStats.html
Particularly these four methods: getTotalTxBytes, getTotalRxBytes, getUidTxBytes, and getUidRxBytes. These methods all give the warning: "Before JELLY_BEAN_MR2, this may return UNSUPPORTED on devices where statistics aren't available." JELLY_BEAN_MR2 is API level 18 which is Android 4.3.
All feedback you can give me is much appreciated:

Thank you.
downloaded and will test
damn its showing me alot of apps using data that I didnt even know was using ;
endomondo, clock widget, facebook, steam, etc etc!
suggestions :
1. Make the ICON (Notification area) a bit more polished
2. Maybe a row of icons to indicate the other apps using data, rather than 1
3. No such thing as Idle state?
4. Total : Up : Down doesnt really mean much if its a dumb user
5. Don't think you need 3 decimal points.. such as 20.xxx

jcsy, I was very surprised as well to discover apps that were running in the background.
1. I agree the notification icon can improve. My friend is the designer and I will talk to him about this.
2. For the widget, notification drawer, or both?
3. What do you mean by idle state? Do you mean that if no app is using any data, no app should be displayed? If so, I agree.
4. This is true. It is difficult to use wording that is both to the point and meaningful. There is only so much real estate. But I agree.
5. LOL, yeah, it is a bit overkill. I will look into this, at the very least making it customizable. I left that in their to make the point to users that the data monitoring is quite accurate. Also, if users set it GBps, nothing will shows if I do not have those decimal points. But I do hear what you are saying.
Thank you very much for your very specific input.
1. the notification area, which is what I added
2. notification area. I meant as in ; kbps (Steam) into kbps (Steam / Whats app / Facebook ) ?
3. If no app (whch looks like unlikely because I was staring at that god damn thing for 30 minutes) and discovered that its NEVER IDLE... unless I off the data altogether
4. How about Download/Upload? lol yes, i know its hard
5. I tried a few settings ; kbps, mbps,kBps etc and got fed up. too many decimal points, lol... its not a F1 race (with decimal timing is important ) but yea, can see how accurate the thing is
keep up the work

Thank you for the clarification. This is a 1.0 product, so look for updates very soon.
Verrrrrryyy interesting app! I, too, have seen apps using network that surprised me. My suggestion: keep track of apps' network usage and let me see a table of usage over the last 5 minutes, hour, day, etc. Maybe more granularity and the ability to see a particular app's usage over time in a paid version of the app? But even without these features, it's a cool app. TYVM
Thanks, any chance you can add 3.2+ compatibility? Honeycomb is often overlooked but shares quite a few pieces with ICS. Thanks anyway, gonna try that on my One too.

My hope is that I will be able to make this app 2.3+ compatible. I only had so much time this summer, but 2.3+ compatibility is definitely on the list of things I need to do. After all, it still makes up 33% of Android devices.
Nice app. For the dumb user like me, you should write out the unit of measurements settings. Not everyone knows the difference between MB and Mb.
I world like to "open" the app, so not using the notification or widget.
Hey man, nice app, but can you add a feature that shows the Total Data Consumption of an Application?
I play some Online Games on my phone, and I would like to see how many Accurate MBs did I spent for each game sessions I make. Why? Cause I only have a limited data plan..
And when I ran the app, it consumes on an about 19MB on RAM. Is this normal? Cause I only have 301MB RAM (150 RAM Unused), and having a 19MB running app is quite big...
Thanks mate!!
Really nice and cool app!!

Many users have requested data usage logging, I will definitely explore this feature. As for the RAM, this is not an unusual amount for the app. It is higher than it should be though. I wanted to release this before school started and I did not have as much time for optimization as I wanted. I will be optimizing this app more as soon as I can. Thank you for your input.

Hello all,
I am currently working on gingerbread support for NetLive.
Also, I have gotten some love for my app from a few tech sites. I think they do a great job of conveying what my app is about. If you are on the fence about trying my app, give them a read
CNET: http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-57599959-285/use-netlive-for-android-to-find-data-hogging-apps-in-real-time/

Download Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.richardlucasapps.netlive&hl=en
I have started school and I am not able to devote as much time as I want to NetLive, but I am working as much as I can and determined to get Gingerbread support. I have made progress, but there is still more to be done.
If you have a Gingerbread device, and a little bit of time, I would greatly appreciate some volunteers to help test my app.
Let me know if you want to and I will PM you.
NetLive V1.1 Update
It has been a long time coming, but I have finally pushed out my first update. I have streamlined the settings, significantly reduced the APK size, and also now prevent my notification icon from taking up your precious notification area space. Many XDA users requested this, and I now use a low priority notification (like Google Now), which is available on Android 4.1 and up.
Especially since Google removed the arrows that display on the WiFi and cell indicators when data is being transferred. I think my app is now even more useful. You can now quickly tell if data is being transferred.
Feedback is greatly appreciated and I hope you enjoy your experience.

killoid, I know I said that I would be supporting GB, but given my time constraints being a student, I do not think I will be supporting the 21% of Android users still running GB.

Changelog:
5.4:
- Google has asked me to remove the Google Speech Engine due to high server traffic. From here on out, the only supported speech engine will be PocketSphinx... Kind of sucks, but you know you're legitimate when you are producing enough traffic for Google to care about you
- Because of this change Tasker commands are not supported... yet (I know a way just need more time). For now use my other app Commandr http://goo.gl/ymwQ46
- Fixes for conflicts in Lollipop
- Pocketsphinx optimization
5.3:
- bug and crash fixes
5.2:
- bug and crash fixes
5.1:
- bug and crash fixes
5.0:
- Completely redesigned UI to both simplify and guide the user experience (inspired by the Google Now design)
- Tablet-Optimized UI
- Multiple optimizations for PocketSphinx and Google engine
- Device-specific optimizations for Nexus 5 and Moto G
- Change sensitivity of Wave and Shake Detection
- Simplify Listen while screen off settings (even I got confused before!)
- Automatically blacklist apps that use the mic (this fixes issues with the camera, Shaazam, and other similar apps)
- Fix Tasker Command problems (this update will wipe your current commands)
- Visual feedback to show what Open Mic+ is doing
- Redesigned Support interface which will auto-send logs and device information (with consent) and will allow two-way conversations without an email address (Huge thanks to Sky Kelsey and the Apptentive Team!)
- Targeted Surveys which will allow me to push updates more effectively
- Many donate-only features are now free
- Free users who are unable to pay for the donate version can now get all of the donate features by sharing to two out of three of Google+, Facebook, and Twitter
- Multiple crash and bug fixes
- Professional Translations for Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish
Not included in this update, but also figured out how to allow Tasker Commands for PocketSphinx! This will be included in a future update
4.5:
★ Lots of Force close and bug fixes (sorry these are very complicated issues, still working on them...)
★ Additional logging to help understand other issues
★ Tweaking of PocketSphinx engine settings for better recognition
★ Resolving issues with UserVoice SDK (if you are having trouble sending a log, remember that your log is copied so you can always paste it into the email link below)
4.4:
★ Lots of Force close and bug fixes (sorry this took so long, but they were pretty tricky to figure out)
★ (Donate) Pocketsphinx - Option to pause listening during music playback
★ Issues with sending support requests should be resolved
★ Check if both versions are installed to prevent accidentally using the free version when the donate version is installed
4.3:
★ Force close and Can't Reach Google fixes (Thanks for all the logs! If you are still having this issue please email me. Sorry it has taken so long to fix these, but it is actually a very complicated issue which has many sources)
★ Shake sensitivity fixed
★ Bug fixes & performance improvements
4.2:
★ Force close and Can't Reach Google fixes (if you are still having this issue please email me)
★ Crash reporting added to help fix future crashes. This requires the Internet permission, which is why I added it. Please know that based on my privacy policy (http://OpenMic.RSenApps.com/privacypolicy.html) I cannot and never will upload any data without the user's consent
★ Native contact us, knowledge base, and future ideas, just click the Support button. This makes it easier to report issues...
4.1:
★ Force close and Can't Reach Google fixes (if you are still having this issue please email me)
★ Huge Apk/install size fixed
★ Various bug fixes...
Version 4.0 ICS (I Crave [Pocket]Sphinx):
★ PocketSphinx Speech Engine Integrated. PocketSphinx is a much faster, more reliable, and more battery efficient speech recognition engine and can now be used with Open Mic+ (Tasker commands are not supported yet...)
What this means:
- Faster, more reliable recognition
- Significantly reduced battery and memory usage
- Volume muting bugs resolved
- Recognition during music playback
- (Donate) Customize sensitivity
★ (Donate) Read out SMS messages when Open Mic+ is running (useful while driving)
★ Shake phone to activate
★ Loads of bug fixes and performance improvements
★ New Language: Finnish (Thanks to: Jaakko Salminen)
WHAT'S DIFFERENT IN THE DONATE VERSION
Hi, my name is Ryan Senanayake and I'm a Junior still in high school. As the amount of time I have spent on this project grows to more than 1000 hours, I need to better justify the time I spend on development. The Free version will in no way be hobbled and will continue to receive bug fixes + performance/battery improvements, but from now on, new features will be added to the Donate version. It will only cost $2 and if you are not able to spend this, just shoot me an email and I'll send you one for free.

Great app! Currently testing on my GT-I9300. Screen-off mode works like a charm, don't really need to worry about power consumption because of my extended battery haha.
Is it possible to keep the lockscreen while in screen off mode?
Nice! but could you provide an option to switch it off too? Since this affects the battery, I'd like to run this just when I'm in my car and then switch it off after I reach my destination.
Thanks
Works good on galaxy s4 but screen mode off doesn't unlock screen when activated. I hear it in background but lock screen stays locked...

Unfortunately no, it seems that Google Now only works if the lockscreen is deactivated. But what I'm trying to do is only allow the user to use Google Now above the lockscreen and have to still enter the password to use any other apps.

The current ways to do this are pretty sporadic as the Android apis are bad. I'm focusing on the new speech recognition as it gives me more control, but after I finish that I'll work on resolving this issue.
Looks awesome. Trying to download it, but every time I hit the download link it goes to a blank white screen.

Yeah sorry about that. You can download it on your computer, but not on your phone... Hey I'm an Android dev, not a web dev I know what I did wrong, I'll fix it tonight.
Ok downloads working now, sorry about that
Wow google will kick your ass
Thanks for this app,I'll give a try
When I have it enabled, it beeps randomly in the background all day long, without being actually "activated" or popping up with the Google Now interface.
This is with the hotword detection on, but with swipe-to-activate OFF

Thanks, this issue is because Google speech recognition doesn't natively support continuous recognition. I have to start it every few seconds. As there is no way to turn off the beep sound, I have to use a dirty hack of silencing the system audio and turning it back on. Sometimes the timing is off and the beep gets through anyways. This problem and many more will go away once I implement my own speech recognition

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But I'm pretty sure that any issue like that is an issue with the kernel and not with the app. I'm pretty sure an app doesn't have the ability to cause a problem that big (unless it's a root app). Is your phone rooted? If so what kernel?
Good idea, didn't seem to work on my Samsung Galaxy 3 AT&T with MIUI. (Yes I enabled the screen off options and such ) No worries though I don't plan on needing/using this I need every little bit of battery I can savor haha.

Yes I understand that. my phone is rooted, its stock rom and stock kernel...doesnt have any mods in kernel. Never had such issue before and 5 minutes after enabling the screen off option it stuck...I cant turned it on. Maybe I should give it one more shot and report back...
