No Swype in Vishwanathptl's CM 7.1.0 - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

I recently updated my G-Fit to vish's CM 7.1.0 and I found a disadvantage of the mod's not having preinstalled swype keyboard. I've tried the Go-Keyboard but its swyping is not that impressive. I've also tried installing various versions of Swype but it does not happen to work and shows the following error "The Swype package you installed does not match the screen size of the device. Please contact Swype about this issue. Screen size 240*320".
I was on FW XWKQ2 2.3 before updating and used swype a lot so, Is there any way by which I can install swype on my Fit.
Thnx in advance.

PS:- you can download swype from its official site by registering for a beta it is as good as the original one to which you were used to!
A 20mb download they send the link on your email so dont worry

Thnx a lot....will try it out

This morning when I tried dialling a USSD code, it showed USSD code running but did not show any result, well I need to know that does this happen with other users and if yes what is the solution to this. By the way my service provider is Vodafone

Darkslide dropped the stock keyboard when he updated the DS ROM which you can find here http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/droid-x-roms/6155-darkslide-v4-2-a.html So all credit goes to him. I am just passing along the information to see if one of these will resolve your issue.
I attached the files here as well. To get to it you have to download the 4.2DS, extract it, and then look in the sdcard >> Darkslide >> Add-Ons folder and you will see 4 keyboards, Stock Keyboard, Stock Swype, Unthemed_Keyboard (which is a black multi-touch keyboard that works exceptionally when I was on Froyo) and a Gingerbread Keyboard.
All of these install in Clockwork and as always I would make a backup just to be sure and you can always roll back to your backup. When I was on Froyo these are the keyboards I used with various setups and never had any issues. Hope these help you out..
G thanks
Thank you so much. When I get home I'll give this a go! I appreciate all of your help!

You have to uninstall the previous swype installer and swype itself. Then download the new one, beta 3 from the website. I got the new one to work and works wonderful.

KH1 - Modem - Swype

Hey all, can anyone already with KH1 installed tell me what version of swype is installed? I currently use KG6 leak and swype is giving me some headaches because of bugs. I want to know if KH1 has a new swype version.
My version is:
3.23.89.29166.29205.2529.T959V
I don't want to go through another OS update if it's not worth it (like swype updated) because it's a pain in the ass to restore backups and merging contacts from facebook and twitter accounts and so on.
Also, does KH1 modem help with wifi issues? does anyone knows? Sorry I can't post on dev forums yet.
Thanks
So far ive been great with swype

It's ok. What I did was to remove swype from my phone and downloaded the swype beta from their website.
Version is 3.6
The appearance changed a bit, and it's better at swyping which was my main concern.

Is there a way to download apps over 25 MB. I've been unable to do so since the new market came out.

1.85 and swype

Just curious if anyone has had a problem installing swype? I got the installer downloaded and after logging in and selecting the swype English keyboard u get an error saying unable to parse package.
I have tried downloading and reinstalling the package again but same error.
Anyone else having this problem?

Have you tried to download it on a PC and then transfer to the device ?
FWIW, I was able to restore my Swype installation from 1.72 with Titanium Backup Pro with out issue. I'm not sure if it would be "safe" to post my backup for others to install though (may have Swype account information in it, not sure).

Is the build in trace function junk? HTC keyboard has the ability to swipe.

I'm having the same issue...the Swype Beta website says to remove any associated apk's and try again in a few hours.
I downloaded a version from the net (attached below); it installed fine (the official installer recognized and approved it, too) but it was scaled down by about 2/3. Still functional, but too small to really use. I'm going to keep looking for it while I wait to retry through the official installer.

The HTC trace function works okay, but not nearly as intuitive and smooth as Swype. The biggest feature I miss is Swype's ability to correct words anywhere in the text body, not just at the time of typing a word.
So I wandered over to the gs3 forum and found the 720p swype extracted from a gs3. Here's the apk.
no need to thank me, thank the gs3 guys
I believe 1.82/1.85 rooting breaks the swype installer somehow... i had it back when I was stock. I still think they need to adjust this keyboard to have taller keys since the screen has so much room but this will do.
Thanks, Idealz...that worked well for me. Nice to have Swype back, the HTC version just doesn't stack up.
I am also not able to make the fmradio app show up in the app drawer, worked fine on 1.73. Any ideas?
Try flashing Clean ROM SE 2.6. It shows up for me.

Sorry guys, had to remove the links to the Swype apks. Apks for Swype aren;t allowed to be posted on the forums. You have to get it through signing up with Swype.
I suggest you try the "Trace" feature built into the HTC keyboard, I find it works just as good, if not better than Swype. I use it all the time.
The issue isn't with any on the ROMs. The problem is with Swype itself. I'm still on 1.73 and I get the same error. I saw someone posted that the file is missing on the Swype server (based on review of his logcat file). It sucks that Swype isn't rushing to fix this. The HTC version nor SlideIt can compare to Swype.

scotsman, I understand the reasoning behind this, and well, those are the rules.
But I want to point out that it is currently impossible to download for a lot of people, and Swype itself seems more interested in working on a new version than on solving this issue. I.e., I want to get it from Swype, but it is simply impossible.
*edit*
try touchpal, free in Google Play.
Is it just me cos I don't see any apk here.
I just downloaded the Swype installer from Swype.com
