Basically it is a thread asking for a .apk for an app called "Listen", which is developed by Google

It's not about fragmentation, it's simply that Google doesn't release all its apps in all countries. In fact, most software that falls in Media, Communication or Gaming tend to release in the US, UK, Europe, and after many moons, Asia (if ever).
Irritates me to no end...

I have been reading about Google's Openspot app these days and would like to give it a try, but apparently it's not available in my country yet. Would someone care to upload the .apk file?
By the way, do you guys know the reason for the geographical restriction? Being crowd-sourced, there should be no restricted data or reason not to use it just everywhere should there?

I was looking for that app too. Since I could not find it on the internet I faked a US provider and installed it from the market. And now I share it with people who don't have root.
Have fun. But I think nobody is actually using it ^^

This app is developed by volunteers at Google. It's not an "official" Project.

As the title says, couldn't find a changelog though...
Google it and you'll see that they are getting slammed like crazy due to the lack of one. No clue the reason, they just didn't put one out.

That's weird indeed. Must be some security patch that will be announced, once the majority upgraded...
Yeah, there is a changelog... it says for me "5.3.1: Bug fixes for latitude check-in and places" or something.

And since when is demand for a change log an Apple phone. May be it's you who should go back to an iPhone for your lack of acceptance of different opinions.

ps : bming = blackberry messaging ....
its up to you to try it out if you'd like, just seems like I'd be opening myself up to spam sites or potentially downloading a virus from that file, your call though.

for now, there is no such thing as bbm on android yet. even the greatest developer among us can never make something like that. it is because bbm is using its own server. so if we want that to happen, google must buy the server or share it with the rim or anything like that. its like the 2 company working together. we will never know when this is going to happen or maybe won't happen at all because all of this are the inside job. all that we can do is just pray that rim will agree to share this feature and make everyone happy :victory:
btw, if you google bbm on androids, there will be a list of sites where offer this feature. believe me that all of these sites are FAKE. it will take you up to another survey site which will cost you your airtime and giving you fake apps back. believe me.
I know where I could download Jaku icons for an iOS device, via cydia, but where can i get them for android?
I saw a thread about it but it was removed due to the copyright restrictions.
So does anyone know where I can download them all in one package? Because now i have to pick em up one by one from the homepage or whatever.

It is exactly because of copyright that you can't find any download links unless there's somebody willing to give you that file and has come across this topic . Because it's copyrighted , nobody can give you the files from xda , because it has copyright . We could be sued for that .
