hi and thank-you from looking into this rom
first of all this is my first ROM and i have tested it on my htc desire and is fully working
so heres a few details about this rom
info about current version (TronicRom V2)
based on: official HTC desire rom
android ver: 2.3.3
rooted: yes
busy-box: yes
anything removed: no
anything added : no
known V2 bugs:
video recorder causes phone to restart when taking videos, taking photos works without a problem (problem fixed you should be able to take videos now)
known V1 bugs:
wifi tether know to crash a few times

How To Install Theme pack
1. Reboot into recovery
2. choose zip from sd-card
3. select zip you just downloaded
4. select yes
Theme Pack dont install what can i do??
WORKAROUND if flashing doesn't change anything:
1. Reboot into recovery
2. Manually mount /system and /data from recovery menu
3. Flash the Theme Pack file
WORKAROUND for recovery error (Status 0):
1. Unzip the TronicRom zip file and find
META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary file
2. Put this file in the Theme Packs zip (overriding the current file)

BTW Wifi/USB Tether & Video recording has worked fine with up to date sources for over a year.

i have installed roms where i could take pictures but recording videos caused the phone to restart

Yes it is an very old base Android 2.1 but, you make experience. I`m always glad when someone have knowlage and curaje to make something.
Every developer or better, every person when is born it`s stupid and then you have a entyre life to learn. So you make the difference.

i am working on android 2.2 but clockwork recovery gives me error 0 when flashing so i am working on it gonna do a basic just root and busybox like i did with this one

I woud like to see some screenshots and then i will test it for shure only to remember what my phone use to be .

[ROM] Updated: 1-8-12 Hybrid - P999 Gingerbread 2.3.4 colorized - LG Camera - Rooted

Update: January 8, 2012 @ 15:50 p.m. ICT
Okay, here's the deal. I used the UOT Kitchen to make some more colorful notification bar icons. If I flash v 1.1c and let it boot, and then flash the UOT update file everything works. But if I replace the two UOT modded files in the v 1.1c flash and then flash the rom there is no notification bar. So for some reason I cannot figure out, the phone must boot without the UOT mods one time, then flash the UOT mods and everything still works. So I am going to post the link for the UOT mods. I am going to post a new v 1.1e that fixes the build.prop for market issues. After flashing that boot once and then boot into CWM and flash the UOT Kitchen mods. It's the only way I can get it to work right now. The UOT flash only takes a few second so not a big deal. This means if you do a factory reset after flashing the UOT mods the status bar will probably be missing again after the factory reset. If you factory reset and the status bar is missing simply flash v 1.1e again, boot and then flash the UOT Kitchen mods again. Best I can do for now.
Update: January 1, 2012 @ 12:36 p.m. ICT
New Happy New Year 2012 version 1.1d. More colorization in the notification bar (some icons from UOT Kitchen). New fun pattern lockscreen and CM regular lockscreen also from UOT kitchen. Market issue fixed so protected apps can be downloaded with no issues. Other minor fixes I cannot remember as I did the changes a while ago. The issue with Swype saying "Not configured for this device..." has beenr resolved. There are patches below and v 1.1c has Swype fully functional, along with all other updates and fixes so far.

Installer script changed to run fix permissions at the end of the install. This is to be clear up a couple of force close issues.

LG Camera added. I have ported the LG Camera from the P990 2.3.4 build and as far as I can tell it is working perfectly. New version uploading now and there is an updater if you have already installed this rom. Note: The front facing camera (FFC) is inverting the video. At the moment there is no fix for it. If you need the FFC for video chat, etc. please keep the stock camera app.
Note: If you want to access LG Hidden Menus on this rom you need to enter 1809#*95# into the dialer since the base rom was ported from an LG-L95G device (the hardware is identical to the P999).

I am starting a new thread because this is a different version of my ROM pulled from the LG-L95G (same hardware as the LG-P999 in every aspect). I was attempting to port the new 2.3.4 ROM from the P990 that LG released in Europe (Italy to be specific). I got a rom that booted and almost everything worked except for the cell signal. After trying everything I could think of to get the signal working, I decided to take another approach. What I have done is taken my 2.3.4 stockish rom and skinning it with files from the P990 rom. So far what I have got working is colored icons in settings, the entire rom is now the LG blue theme (which I think looks really nice) and new notification bar icons. I cannot figure out why the Google data turning the icons green doesn't work in the P999 roms, but it does work in the P990 roms. I haven't found the difference yet to make this work, so I just made them green all the time as it looks better, in my opinion. I also implemented the crt screen of animation so when you unlock your screen you no longer see your old screen first.
I am also going to try and port LG Home (the LG UI) over as an option but it has a lot of dependencies and that is going to take a while to implement. So I am releasing an initial release of the rom with the changes I have accomplished so far. I have attached some screen shots. I will also work on porting the LG camera later.
If you have already installed my 2.3.4 rom based on the LG-L95G rom you can just run the updater zip to get the colorized version.

The updater will flash the new files to convert your rom to my new hybrid rom and then clear your Dalvik Cache for you. So just flash, wait four to five minutes for the reboot and your good to go.

Right now cam is google cam. LG cam from P990 going to be ported over if I can get it working well.

This is great just what I.was wanting a little color.
BTW is there a reason the build prop is read only?

You have to use a tool like Root Explorer and have root permissions to edit the build.prop. If it is set to read only you can change permissions in root explorer to anything you want.

Yea, if you use the updater everything remains the same. The files that are changed are /system/frameowrk/framework-res.apk, /system/app/Settings.apk and /system/app/SettingsuUI.apk. If you already have the TMO UMA stuff on there it won't touch it.
BTW, how well is your UMA wifi calling working? Some people have reported they cannot get it to connect.

were you able to check if this solves the blank carrier name?

Jboxer great rom .. great to have another Dev here... Just flashed and everythings working great .. Widow works fine, actually just used it ... I'm at work and get horrible reception in here so wifi is a must... Are we able to use fauxs 2.3.4 kernals with this rom.. I know they were for his aosp roms but they should work right?

Deleted post. User did not click on R/W in Root Explorer.

Tried the new version with the LG CAM and the front facing camera image is upside down. I will try the one with the regular camera now and see if that works. Will also try and see if it works with Gtalk Video chat and Skype-I need the video chat functionality...

Email and browser are working fine on mine. How did you install it? Did you add any system apks or edit anything? Go into CWM and clear the Dalvik Cache and reboot. You might have something you installed interfering with them.
Go into CWM and run fix permissions if you are still having a problem.

BTW Google front came is working fine I.don't.know.about the LG came will try when I get home every file I try to download is unsuccessful.

facebook mayb is market issue?my gf's huawei x5 get this problem but after few day the not compatible has been removed?

Don't this stock keyboard should be removed because the theme of the stock keyboard changes when you change the entire theme from the theme chooser. This makes the phone look really nice.

Thanks. Yes the ROM has Tamil support, but not 100%. The Tamil words are not perfectly displayed but still you can able to read it and understand.

But, I have a problem, I can't have root access. Superuser app is install, but the apps (titanium, root explorer, the same superuser app) can't have root permisions.
I tried to root whit 4zroot, gringerbreak and universal anroot, but nothing happens.

It's due to permission issues. Fixed in version 2.0.

Wich file(s) change. I download all 3 again, but are exactly the same (same file size). I don't want to wipe again and maybe have a bad surprise, because I just install kyrillos v10 Beta (sorry, but in the las 2 days I wipe a lot of times).

The De-odexed cm7 link is wrong. When i click on it, it comes up with rasna rom.tar
Edit: Sorry i was mistaken. It's working fine.

It's just the name as rasna rom.tar. But the actual thing is the De-odexed cm7. You can download it for sure.

hey i saw that you removed tones off aps. i always get my o3d laggy. as you want to see what ppl want, heres my idea. i wish a rly rly rly fast and light rom. there is one but its CM7 and 3d and hdmi dont work. you think you could delete alot of useless stuff from a rom and upload it?

I've downloaded and successfully istalled the ROM.
However, after installing it I've problem with my Mobile Networks that I could not make call & surf internet via 3G data.
So, I've no choice other than revert back to my previous ROM i.e. ThiaiZO3D.
I also notice that the bootanimation is exactly the same with ThiaiZ ROM.

The bootanimation will be the same if the actual animation is stored in "/data/local/" and you didn't do a data wipe.

I also installed this rom with same problems. Try flashing a + kernel. Blue kernel for example. Then also enter the proper apn for data reception in the settings page wireless and networks. It should then work. Unless your baseband is froyo.

Anyway, I think that I better stick to the current ROM (ThiaiZO3Dv2.8) for the time being coz I really satisfy with it since it's very stable and fast too!

I sold my P920, so this project is abandoned...
Hi there,
I cooked a rom based on [ROM][ICS][P920] First ICS 4.0.4 Full 3D ROM Ported From SU760.
DOWNLOAD:
Japoninja_ICS_O3D FINAL
Features:
Removed all the korean stuff and the bloatware.
Fully deodexed (apps and framework)
Removed 3d games
OverClock at 1.2 GHz.
Init.d enabled
Rooted
SMS 160 chars.
XDA APP installed.
Titanium Backup installed.
Removed all korean trash.
The apps from here already included
Enabled JIT (Pimp My ROM)
Installed Sony Walkman suite : Music Player & Visualizer, Clearbass soundfx and Image Gallery & Editor (Pimp My ROM)

Face Unlock
Awesome Beats (works with Music Player (walkman) from (Pimp My ROM)
You can choose the awesome beats on system settings > sound options > Music Effects > Awesome Beats.
Boot animation from here
Some tweaks I copied from ThiaiZ roms.

HOWTO INSTALL:
I couldn't create a zip install :'(
*If someone can create it please tell me.
THIS IS NOT A ZIP INSTALL :|:|:|: FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW.
Step by step install:
1- Make sure you've the ICS running on your phone.
2- Root it
3- Install twrp
4- download the file on download link.
5- Do a backup of your cell to create the restore folder to TWRP
6- Unpack it into the inside the folder of your sdcard on the folder that looks like /sdcard/_ExternalSD/TWRP/BACKUPS/XXXXXXXXXX (change this x for your created folder and also save your backup) .
7- reboot into twrp.
8- select restore, and restore system, I also putted the boot and recovery images on file to make sure your cel will boot up
IMPORTANT:
The deodexed keyboard rises a fc, please install the attached one or the one on apps manager.

This video was recorded using airdroid so antutu benchmark is not accurate on the video.
Well I don't know how to explain, but for the first time I don't yell at my phone everytime I really need it, like to use gps or unlock the screen while listening some mp3.
My sdcard is 32 gb and it has almost 120000 inodes, so I removed it from antutu test.
PS: Now the apps manager also has wifikill and airdroid.
If you like it, please give me a feedback, so I can reopen this project or go for another.

Credits for all this guys, I just cooked it on my phone and wanted to share.
To install, restore the files on zip with twrp.
I putted the boot, restore and system files on zip.
You must already be using the ics from the first link and the twrp from here.
Any questions are welcome, sorry for the poor english, I'm brazilian and the education system here is very poor.
Also has the camera from [DEV]JB4.2 Cam + ICS Camera

lol imma XDA Ninja now wait till source Drops and CM10 comes out im sure the kernel can be modded to run on GB this ICS bootloader turns me off messing around with the rom i have my On this http://www.xda-developers.com/android/meizu-mxs-flyme-os-ported-to-the-att-galaxy-s-ii/ and MIUI V4 + Paranoid till theN i will help out where i can

I did, is it supposed to just look exactly the same as what I am currently running? I installed as per your instructions and everything was the same except the additional applications. I also note that it wouldn't read my sd card after flashing as well. I as well as others appreciate your work mate so keep going, maybe this thread should be moved to development. Maybe you could theme the rom as well and put up some pictures. It might have been because I was in the car but the beats mod didn't seem to be doing anything.

I just saw, and I just download all the files necessary to make the installation process, make the entire process and give the feed necessary for us to improve and usufluir ICS on P920 :highfive:

Please test it for 2 days, This rom is very fast, I didn't put anything awesome, just use it because it's really fast.
The deodexed version gives me 6144 on antutu benchmark.

Create zip installer
parabéns pela sua customização, mas gostaria de saber se é possível você criar um zip installer, porque estou usando a versão 2.3.5.

Hi there,
This is not possible, because you must be already running the ics, cwm can't install all your system due the partitions sizes and specifications.
