[Q] No Display

Anyway I haven't been using the fuze for like a year now so if you guys can't fix it then no problem. So, the display does not show at all. When I turn it on you feel the vibration, however the screen does not light up at all, you get no display. How it happened was that I had slept on it by accident (which makes me think it be fix unless I do something physically like take it apart), when I woke up a realized that I was laying on it I immediately got up and the display was not showing.
I've tried leaving it plugged in for 8 hours and it didn't work......that's all I tried.
Thanks for all the answers.
I sleep on mine all the time...
Have you attempted to get into bootloader; to see the multi-color screen?
no display
i think its about time you opened the device up and seen whats going on inside
if you break it, no biggie = can't fix it then no problem

Ghost presses when turning screen on (erratic)

Hello,
My Nexus 5 has been driving me insane since I got it (bought it used). When the screen turns back on, I get ghost presses anywhere on the screen. This happens sporadically.
I was able to pinpoint the problem by disabling the screen lock and running "multitouch Test". When turning the screen back on sometimes you can clearly see 5-10 ghost presses. The phone does not have a case, and there does not seem to be any pressure on the screen (else I would still see the press after turning it on).
This happens on AOSP or CAF based roms.
Am I the only one with this issue??
Is there a way to lock touchscreen input for 500/1000ms after waking up the screen (this would be a great workaround)?
Thanks
Is your phone charging when you notice this?

I tested this without charging.
I see. It happens sometimes when it's charging. I feel like it might also happen if your phone gets too hot.

Sounds like somebody sold you a lemon. I hope they transferred their warranty over to you.
My Nexus 5 is showing the same behaviour but only when I enable DT2W via any kernel. Can you confirm?
Sounds like water damage. Owned!

[Q] Screen turns off after turning it up and unlocking using fingerprint sensor

Hi Guys,
My screen turns off every time I use the power button to turn it on and then place my finger to unlock it, I then need to turn it on again and unlock it. This happened almost every time I open it, usually I need to unlock it again after it turns off but sometimes when I turn on the screen the phone is already unlocked.
This is very annoying, is this a bug? What might cause it?
BTW, my home button is loose, have someone returned or replaced their phone because of this?
Bump.
Hope someone will give some insights as this is driving me nuts..
Doesn't happen to me.
Sounds like you may have a defective device.
Mine has not had any problems like you describe.
I need to head to the customer support center..

[HELP] Screen doesn't light up

Hello everyone, I have a problem with the screen, a long time ago a printer tonner hit my screen, it's started to show wrong resolution (no hd) so I send it to change the part that has the problem. They change it and the screen never light up, the phone turn on, the touch screen work perfectly, the sound, all the buttoms but the screen it's black... Only I can see it with airdroid... Someno know what it's happening?. Obviously they doens't charge me the work. I'm from Argentina and the model is C2105, I send the phone to my brother in Spain and there couldn't make it work.

Maybe no one here had any solution for this issue, because it is a hardware problem, so no one can help in software manner.
Maybe but this thread it's for all the problems I think.

Red Light near Proximity sensor Always On

First of all I am not talking about Notification light.
A Red light in proximity sensor next to sony logo is always on when device is connected to wifi, or when connected to mobile data only whrn the arrow indicators appears.
This red light is on even if i disable adaptive brightness.
I am shocked why no one raised this quesrion.
Hence here I am.
I hope this is not intentional by Sony.
Coz ffs i cant get one thing to my mind that how it is helpful. It is rather annoying.
Anyone with a clue pls share.

It's on on my phone as well. It was also like that on my Xperia X
I call it the "I'm watching you." light. I think its the proximity sensor's lazer. I dont think it should be on 24/7, but then there is this "Led light's lifetime depends on how many times they are turned on/off" thing. May be it is some kind of an optimisation?

It definitely has to do with data recieving signals.
But whatever it is for I am concerned about battery life
It is just plain stupid of sony to not recognize this.
Coming from z5 I thought speakers were average on z5, but I doubt XZ even have any speakers at all.
Sound is that bad on XZ. I can barely listen to ringtone and I was sitting right next to the phone. What if we are in the other room or @ some distance? We' ll definitely miss the call.
Disable adaptive brightness and the flickery red dot will go off. I can only see it in a darkened room so it doesn't bother me. I'm looking at the screen lol!

so u say that red light turns on only on lock screen...what happens when u unlock the phone is it still on (red light)? becouse mine is always on except when screen is locked and turned off course and then it turns on again when i turn the screen on...this is how sensor should work... If urs doesnt work that way then go send the phone to waranty... I wouldnt investigate anyomre just go to Sony.

Until yesterday it used to be always on, but now only on the lockscreen. It stays off when I unlock the device.
Why can't we seen to find the real use of that light?
Is it even a feature?

Well now I get it, atleast I think so.
Red light stays on if we turn on adaptive brightness.
It also turns on when data packets are being sent to our device (via wifi or mobile data)
But why? That is the main question here.
Previous devices never had this feature, and what diff does this make?
Looks like my adaptive brightness works fine.
Do you mean the light in the attachment?
It should be the infra-red light used by the proximity sensor anmd it is not meant to be seen by human. I can only take this from the camera of another device but I cannot actually see it.
Trust me, if you tries to use the camera of another device to view it, you will see it blinks a lot when the screen is on.

That is exactly what I am talkin about.
It is not supposed to be visible for naked eye until you use a camera.
This one just stays on. Doesn't blink.

OK so looks like im having a camera in my eyes LOL cuz i can see that red dot light constantly turned on...ill see what Sony will say about that.im gonna call waranty just for curiosity.maybe they know something
There may be some variation of the wavelength produced by that LED from device to device, while I cannot see it in my XZ, I can saw it in my last LG device. It won't cause any battery draining problem because either you see it or not, it is still blinking.
My God
This is not a problem
By using this proximity sensor our phone controls the automatic brightness setting.
which is called Adaptive Brightness

hey buddy we all know that but we just want to clarify why some ppl can see the light and some not.... read next time
Xperia X and XZs does this and its annoying, Sony obviously did a bad job in defining what's visible to humans.
