[Q] Can't boot into recovery mode - Droid 2 Global General

I can't boot into recovery mode. Typically on my G2x, I hold the power and volume down button. I've been into recovery mode on this phone to flash CM7 and it worked fine. However, it randomly entered recovery mode when I booted it, allowing me to flash the rom. I'm trying to flash gapps now and power+volume down, power+volume up+down, and power+x, then search aren't working. Can you let me know how you boot into recovery mode?

See f.ex. http://droid.koumakan.jp/wiki/Android_Recovery — there are different approaches for 2.4.x and 4.5.x.
You also won't get to CWM this way, only stock recovery which only allows factory reset, cache wipe, and official update installation over clean stock firmware.

So how do I install the gapps zip if I can't boot into CWM? After flashing CM7, there are no stock apps (no marketplace).

Boot into CM7. Press the Lock/Power button. Choose “Reboot”, and then “Recovery”.

sometimes pressing camera button while powering up will boot into cwm
or press camera while connecting charger

phone stuck on boot animation.

so, i just want to flashed a new rom, then i reboot in recovery, then i restored my data. at some point i saw a text shows cache.img was not found. then i reboot the system, the phone just stuck on the boot animation. please help. urgent
Which ROM did you flash? Did you flash gapps?
What are you doing when you say get into recovery and restore data? Are you trying to restore last ROM's /data from recovery?
If yes, then that's the reason you are stuck at boot screen. Factory reset &flash the ROM again and let us know if you are able to boot.

The 3 button combination in order to start the phone in Recovery Mode (where wipe options are) should be volume UP + home + power.
Avoid the volume DOWN combination because that is for Download Mode.
Try start in Recovery Mode several times because sometimes the proper combination timing is not detected.
If really the phone can't start in Recovery Mode, you should flash the official firmware again via Odin, following the procedure with caution. An important, sometimes overrated action related to flashing via PC is that any antivirus (firewall mainly) must be turned off before the flashing procedure, in order to avoid (invisible) conflicts when transfering data through USB ports.

First of all the boot up loop is caused because you have not wiped the cache and dalvik cache (may be).
Since the recovery is not booting means, there is some error with flashing.
What you can do right now is to flash the Original Stock Rom using Odin, the original stock OS itself contains the recovery partition.

cant use any recovery

hi, i try to boot into recovery, but i get only green android with red triangle, i try via bootloader and via press VOL +/- and POWER button, but in either case I can not access.
I flashed all the latest factory image via fastboot [boot, system, recovery, cache, bootloader, userdata] but the problem persists; the phone works well, i can use it normaly but the recovery is the only part does not working.... some advice? thx
When you see the dead android screen, you're holding down the power button and pressing volume up button?
It looks like you are booting into a stock recovery. Which would happen just after flashing the latest factory image.
What are you trying to achieve?

J510F Stock recovery screen after TWRP install [Fixed]

I'm using ODIN to install TWRP but after the install I'm still being put into the stock recovery screen, I have Auto Restart disabled under ODIN and I access recovery mode with power + vol up + home buttons and letting the power button go as soon as I see the logo but still holding onto the vol up + home button. This is done immediately after the ODIN install. I have tried multiple times leaving the Downloading Mode using power + vol down and entering recovery mode as well as removing my battery after the TWRP install and booting directly into recovery mode but all of them give me the stock recovery.
Re-flash Stock ROM to get rid off of all mods you applied. Then try again.
I haven't installed anything other than TWRP and if I do a normal boot the phone acts as if nothing ever happened, but I will try with a stock ROM install as well and check if it changes anything
I managed to root it for anyone with the same issue, the tutorial I was following seemed to have a faulty TWRP, the links on the official site work, the magisk method didn't work for me so I used the supersu method which worked perfectly.

Phone keeps booting into TWRP

So, I flashed my samsung a10s with an unofficial twrp posted, and everything went fine.
But when I tried to flash a GSI (I tried lineage, and the AOSP ones), everytime I reboot it brings me to the recovery menu. I cannot boot into download mode or anything, it straight up puts me into TWRP.
I do seem to get a `invalid argument /metadata` sort of error
Any idea how to fix this?

First, flash stock rom.
Then install twrp, do a wipe and a factory reset. Install GSi image but do not reboot to system. Turn of the phone and boot to recovery again. Then do a wipe and reboot to system.
Do not enter to recovery again, idk why but entering recovery breaks the rom.

I tried both the power combinations and the TWRP reboot into recovery, they both did not work.

U can't enter Download mode with the power button. Power off the phone. Hold vol up and vol down then plug it into a pc. Do not release vol buttons until blue download screen appears.
