Market Problem? - Samsung Infuse 4G

Has anyone figured out how to fix the market problem with some apps. My wife plays Paradise Island all the time and it says to update. When I try to update the game, it says ther eis insufficient space available. Well I have ton of extra space both internally and externally (SD card wise). I have heard its a problem with the market. I updated to the newest market this morning. Still same problem. I have done a search for about a week now, and still have not found the solution anywhere so I ask the question here now. Anyone?

It's a kernel problem, and yes, it's been fixed in a couple kernels now, namely, the one I include in Hellraiser, and Entropy's kernel.

Hmm, well I am on the stock kernel as far as I know? All I did was root it and install CWM. So thats weird.
Isa that kernel you have good for stock rom?

me too!
yea I have to uninstall the newer market and then it works, until the phone automatically reinstalls the new version...btw u could always delete the .apk from /system/apps/ called marketupdater.apk hope this helps!

No, he means use a custom Kernel, like Entrophy's, or his kernel. The easiest way is to download the SGS Kernel Flasher and put the kernel on the SD and flash through that app.

install voice search on leaked froyo?

anyone been successful installing the new google voice search program from the market on their dinc with froyo installed?
i can download it fine, but it keeps telling me that installation was unsuccessful.
i'm running one of the leaked froyo roms so i though it should work. perhaps not?
Hmm does unmounting the SD card then installing work?

Works fine for me. I have the the 8/1/10 leaked Froyo Rom installed on my Inc. See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742242
Just like the post above says, you may need to unmount your sd card storage, in settings, to get it to install.

ahhhh... this must be my problem. okay. hopefully someone will post an apk that can be installed. i'm not on CM, but the ROM i'm running obviously must have the same issue.
I got it to install and can get most commands to work. however, emailing force closes on me.
It works perfect for me 7/27 leak
Dangit, running 2.15 radio, 8/1 Froyo, and the new voice search still FC's on me for mail, and now note to self.
You have the 8/1 rom installed right?
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
I also can't get it too install on the 8/1 leak
Works fine on my DI running Skyraider 2.2.
I got this to install just fine on the 8/1 leak.
However, it does not seem to interact with the applications I have installed. For example: "Listen to Deftones", "Set an alarm for 8am", etc. Each time I use these commands, it tells me that the applications required are not found.
I certainly do have plenty of music apps, as well as vanilla clock, etc...
Any ideas? Anyone get this to work properly on sense?
Installed it from Market- works fine- don't overhype it though... it's good.. but it still doesn't do what i want it to do 100%
I got it to install fine. I am using Aiccucs latest rom. I also deodexed the files before mounting system and then pushing them to my phone. I was getting errors when i tried to download and install through the market.

These files were ripped and deodexed from the droid 2. You must mount system before pushing to /system/app.

Flashable 2.2.7 Market Zip 12/22/2010

Guys, I saw a bunch of people asking for a flashable 2.2.7 version of Market. I created a signed zip file for you to flash. I am using this on CM6.1.1, but I think it should work for any ROM. Hopefully a lot of you are getting the new market automatically...
To install:
Wipe market cash (under settings, applications, market, wipe cash)
Nandroid
clear cached, dalvik
flash this zip
everything should work great
Best of luck!
Market 2.2.7: http://rapidshare.com/files/438811534/market_2.2.7_signed_12222010.zip
Market 2.2.6: http://rapidshare.com/files/438805930/market_signed_12222010.zip
DISCLAIMER: Flashing a zip could always mess something up, so do this at your own risk and DO A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!
Thanks, I've been looking for this.
I flashed the update via Amon recovery. I got a couple of network errors when trying to access the Marketplace the first time, but hit the retry button about four times and now it works fine. Thanks again.
let me know how it goes, make sure to nandroid first just to make sure!

How does this replace a system app in system/app? Seems like you wouldn't be able to replace a system/app with a simple apk install.
Thanks for this. I was getting a FC when I tried the other methods but, this worked just fine.
Any noticable difference?
I am running this on my Nexus One and besides the obvious visual stuff, it seems a bet slower. I know this is the EVO 4G thread so don't take my word on the performance thing as YMMV.
I doubt it would run that much better on the Evo than the N1. They are pretty similar when it comes to hardware.

This should be in Themes/Apps. Might be seen by more foes
2.2.7 does not work on CM Nightly 203 with a fresh wipe, or previous install. And I have no freaking clue how I got v2.2.6 working a few days ago, so I'm just sticking with that.
Would someone mind attaching 2.2.7 to a post here? I can't get RS from work (blocked) and downloading from my phone gives me a corrupt zip (Dolphin HD & mini, android browser, Miren browser). Not sure what the deal is with rapidshare and my phone.
Also, has anyone had any success with CM 6.1.1 final and this 2.2.7? I haven't found a combination that has worked for me yet, but will try this.

Is possible lag fix in galaxy s i9003?

Hi i wanna asked if is possible use lag fix in to galaxy s gt-i9003
I am also lookin for I9003 lagfix...any senior member PLEASE HELP. Darky...please do something
Me too.....
Is there any Voodoo Lagfix for i-9003 a.k.a Galaxy SL ?
Thanks
I have just read that One Click Lagfix v.1 does work on I9003. DON'T use v2 or you'll have to re-flash.
Good luck !
Yeah one click lag fix from market does work. Note in market its labelled v2 but the app contains v1 too. Initially it didn't work, then I increased free space in the Phone, selected 812MB as the ext partition size and it worked.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
installed oneclisklagfix v1+ on my I9003
Finally, I had installed lagfixv V1+ on my I9003.
I found below information from galaxyroot website to resolve the problem in applying the lagfix V1+
Known issues in 2.0.0
Some devices with heavy carrier customization cannot install EXT2 Tools. Fix should be in the next version, if possible.
On Froyo (Android 2.2) this lag fix will refuse to install if the apps2sd feature is in use. The error you will see if Apps2SD is in use on installation will be that the loopback cannot be mounted.
Workaround: In order to install the lagfix on froyo, you will need to set each app that is on the external SD back to regular. Once the lagfix is installed, you can move apps back to the SD.
Fix should be included in the next version, if possible.
If you use up more space inside the EXT2 than is available outside the EXT2, you will have to remove apps/delete data until you have enough space to copy your data back when you want to uninstall. To help avoid this, don’t set the space bar all the way on the far right.
im new to this stuff... uhm, you need to root your i9003 before you could use this right?
Ya, you need to be rooted+ Superuser. I installed it and found that it increases quadrant score but not Antutu Benchmark.

Can you please let me know whether by meaning free space in the phone you mean phone memory or internal card ? there is 2gb of phone memory and 2gb of built in internal card memory on the phone. Currently I have 1.51 of internal phone memory and 1.35 gb of internal sd card memory free and the one click lagfix v1 is not being installed. I have root access. I also have a 8gb external sd with 6.28GB space free. Also please let me know of any improvement after the lagfix
In that app first you have to instal ext tool I guess, what errors do you get?

@nemesis0902
Same thing with my i9003. Uninstall lagfix v1 was unavailable and it said that playlogos1 is not available. When I tried to install playlogos1 and then rebooted the phone, it removed the Samsung boot animation and tone completely. So no use of doing that. I figured that the only way to get out of the situation was to re-flash. I flashed i9003XXKB3 firmware and that is the only way to get rid of it. More so the phone worked fine for about two full days after the OCLF v1 lagfix. but it again came back to the same state afterwards. OCLF does improve the quadrant score, but no visible improvement in my case. Same thing happened on one of my friend's i9003. So I guess best bet would be to wait for Gingerbread or updated OCLF or Voodoo.
So flashing after doing lagfix dint go wrong. That's good to know. Was a bit worried. Thanks

[Q] Questions about first time installing Infused v2.1.0

Please bear with me and my noob questions. I have a rooted and unlocked Infuse 4 G. At the moment I am using t mobile monthly 4 g unlimited pre paid.
I have never done anything to the phone besides using the bml3.bk file in the hex editor to unlock the phone. I have some apps installed, and I have installed titanium back up but have not ran any back ups.
I have read the instructions but I am still confused and worried I might brick my phone. I do not have any warranty on it.
I have had others tell me that the Infused 2.1.0 and infusion 1.1 kernel running 1.6ghz would be the best way to go.
And that CMW recovery is the safest way to install it.
It says not to back anything up with titanium recovery. Does that mean that I will lose all of my apps? Or that I will lose all of my contacts or progress in apps, such as games and kindle books?
Will I lose my APN settings?
Also if I have not backed anything up, what happens if I make a mistake in the installation? Is there a way to get my stock settings back?
Also, just to be sure, I would download the zip files directly to my phone, from my phone correct? Just making sure I do not download them to my PC and then transfer them to my sd card.
Also what about the updates and beta versions? Should I use the most updated file or an older one?
Also, I do use facebook, so I can reinstall that after the ROM is installed?
I really appreciate the help and patience with all my questions.
Export your contacts to your SD card.
Myself, I backed up my apps, then restored apps & data.
(note: do "NOT". restore system data)
The apps that you have can be redownloaded if need be.
Yes to Facebook.
My suggestion would be to just install the Infused 2.1.0 first. Get used to it before going in deeper.
Yes, you can download or transfer the Infused 2.1.0 to your SD card and install from there.
Go directly to Infused 2.1.0. No need to install the beta's.
I'd say that the safest & easiest way to install Infused 2.1.0, is by using Rom Manager, especially if you're new at this.

Thank you! Is it better to download the zip files directly to sd card using my phone or using the PC? And is it safe to use titanium back up to back up the apps? And I guess I am just confused. Do I back up the apps I have that I want to keep that are not in the ROM? Or do I back up ALL of the apps I have? Im sorry, Im sure I seem like an idiot, but I want to make sure I am clear on what to do......thank you so much!
Also If I do not back up my stock system, will I be able to go back to stock if something messes up?

I downloaded them to PC and transfered them sd. Yes, its safe to backup apps with titanium, when you go to reinstall them, just restore apps and data, NOT system data. Just back all of them up, you can restore each that you want later. Just read all the installation instructions a couple of times until you understand the process. Once you do it, you'll realize its not hard. Install the ROM first, then, the kernel. If you do brick your phone, you can use Odin-to-Stock to return the phone to its stock. You'll be glad you upgraded to a custom ROM, its much faster. Only downfalls on Infused 2.1.0, (latest version) is that there is no HDMI support, and the video recording is not 30fps like it should be, but these problems will be fixed soon.
Do NOT run Infusion (or any other overclock/undervolt kernel) until you're perfectly satisfied with the stability of the ROM in question without the modded kernel.
Overclock/undervolt kernels can cause instability that may be misdiagnosed as a ROM bug.

True, only reason I say this is because they work great together. But he's right, once you install you may not like the ROM or something else, like have problems with it. You can install the kernel anytime. You will need a overclock app like voltage control or setcpu in order to get it overclocked.

It will flash...but don't expect video (and whatever else it breaks) to work...
It is based off of the latest AT&T leak so it has to have the stock kernel for everything to work.
Yes any Infuse modem will work.
Fonts
Are there any fonts or themes for this rom? I was under the impression it was based on MIUI, and could therefore be customized. the only MIUI element I see is the lockscreen manager. Am i missing something?
Its a work in progress, give it time, Nop seems to have a lot in store for his new Rom!

After flashing, Superuser is disappeared from App drawer and become "unrooted" but superuser is already installed as reported by Market.
Uninstall and reinstalling, no problem but still now shown in App Drawer and reported "unrooted" whenever useing apps which need root access..
Tried re-root with SOC, stuck with the messeage "waiting for device" and would not be continued..
Any idea ??

Odin/heimdall flash a custom kernel. then download the su updater for cwm I think the link is in the open of caty rom or something. reflash the rom (sometimes su gets corrupt and causes all sorts of issues, best to format /system and reinstall the rom for good measure) and flash the su updater immediately after. make sure you do this before a reboot and that voodoo is disabled on your phone. there should be a folder on the root of the SD card named "Voodoo" the V is capital and in that rider should be a text file or folder named "disable-lagfix" if this is not there before you flash the voodoo/cwm enabled kernel and lagfix gets enabled you must disable it and reboot before you flash the rom.
this leak is really secure, you need the custom "insecure" kernel to root it and there seems to be an issue with the build of bionix causing people problems. read the thread but don't get too confused on all the different advice.
also if you can use heimdall I posted a heimdall flashable dump from my phone in the bionic thread. it already has updated superuser and su.

no Voodoo exists but the disable-lagfix file/folder doesn't. it is usually a file but if you create it as a folder it works.
if you have no Voodoo folder you should create it as well as the disable-lagfix to speed up the process and avoid issues. or you can install bionix from my heimdall package. your choice.
I cant tell fron the screenshots....does this rom have the lockscreen that allows you to choose unlock, phone, sms, or camera?

I just installed this rom ontop of the old V2 bionix iv been running for months, figured it was about time I upgraded lol. Iv been playing with it a bit, and am getting used to the new layout. Maybe this is intentional but where did the battery info and pulldown task bar ontop go? Also some things seem to be not fitted to the screen correctly, like my contacts list and the lock screen is cutoff 3/4 way thru the clock on bottom. Ill keep playing with the settings when I wakeup I just wanted to check I didnt miss something or install it wrong, like a lingering file between the 2 versions caused an incompatibility. Other then that its pretty sexy sofar
