Then I cycled only now when I press the power button on the device vibrates 4 times faster but will not start does not turn on even the screen.

The problem is that I can not access anything beyond the vibrating because the screen does not turn on

Are you sure that the battery is charged? plug the device into AC and charge it for a a hour or so.
Have you tried plugging the device in to PC with USB and then attempted accessing it using adb..?
What you describe doesn't sound too positive. But, in a good way the fact that the device won't turn on, means that the HTC support people will have little chance of seeing that you've S-OFF'd your device and will probably just give you a warranty replacement.
Good luck

Hey guys,
I got a weird issue going on. So my mistake was giving my cousin my old captivate and putting a new rom on it. He wanted to flash the new ICS roms and completely screwed up the rom. Here are my issues:
1. I'm stuck on a bootloop
2. I can still manage to get into recovery and this is what I get:
E: Failed to open/etc/recover.fstab (no such file or directory)
E:unknown volume for path [catche/recovery/command]
E;Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:unknown volume for path [/cache/recovery/log]
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:unknown volume for path [/cache/recovery/last_log]
E:can't mount /cache/recover/last_log
E:can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E:unknown volume for path [/cache/recovery/command]
3. It basically seems that there is no drive or cache available.
4. From recovery, I can get into download mode. So I had hope that I can just one click.
5. However, even though I plug it in and it's recognized in odin/one click, nothing works.
So I'm not sure what to do? Any thoughts guys?
What happens when you try to flash with Odin or Heimdall?
Well before Odin and the one clicks could recognize the download mode, but once I start it, it just stays stuck that way.
Now I can't even get it to even be recognized by the programs in download mode

Maybe you already have but have you gone through all of the connection troubleshooting steps here?

I haven't tried all of those steps per se, so I'll try that tomorrow after class.
Right now my major issue is getting my computer to recognize the download mode of my phone. It won't even do that. I can still get into download mode from my captivate, but unfortunately the connection isn't even being made. I tried reinstalling the USB drivers, and nothing changes.
There's a section in there specifically for connection issues. Hopefully it will help.

Hey guys,
I flashed the leaked firmware when it was released and since then, my DS was a bit slow and had an unbearable battery drain (200 mAh). No battery stats app helped figure out where was the drain from so I thought about changing the firmware again. I flashed the "20.28b.30.0805U_38.03.02.11" one but after flashing, my DS kept displaying the CM9 boot animation for 35 min. I tried the Vol Down + Up + Power combination but it didn't work. I left it another 10 min but it was still stuck. I then removed the battery for a min then inserted it again. Same thing for about 30 min. I removed the battery, inserted it and booted into the bootloader but it detected the radio file and I couldn't access the recovery. Any suggestions how to solve this problem. Could it be an eMMC fried?? Please help
Nothing to do with eMMC.
You're most likely doing 1 or 2 of the following bad things, not to be done:
1) You're installing a ROM without wiping.
2) You unlocked using HTCDev and you're not flashing the kernel through fastboot.
Remove your SD card from the phone, take a card reader, plug it into PC, remove the PG88IMG.ZIP from it, return it to the phone.
or:
Check if your phone is visible to ADB while it's stuck in boot animation, and execute the following command:
adb reboot recovery
I've done nothing from both. I've unlocked via AlphaRevX from exactly a year and the last time I flashed a different ROM from CM9 was 3 weeks ago. I don't have a SD card reader so I'll try ADB. Thanks for the quick reply
Ok, I solved the problem with another way. ADB didn't work and since I don't have a SD card reader, I thought about removing the SD card. It worked and I was able to access the recovery but upon accessing I found the horrible message waiting for me
"E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log"
I know that this means that the eMMC chip was fried. I thought about flashing the cache even though I know it wouldn't work but unbelievably, it WORKED!!! I can't understand how it worked but at least my phone is up and working again . One question though, the battery drain still exists but it's a bit smaller. Leaving the mobile it keeps getting between 10 and 20 mA and using it instantly jumps to 80-150 mA. Any suggestion how could I know what's draining the battery??
Idle current of 10-20mA is fine, jumps to 80-150mA aren't. Something is waking up your phone, either one of the apps that doesn't play well with ICS (did you restore apps from backup or reinstall?), or one of the system services has some trouble. You could try looking at logcat output when the phone is in sleep mode to see what's waking up the phone.
Good work wiping /cache. Not all /cache mounting errors are fried eMMC, sometimes the partition just gets corrupted.
That does not always mean fried emmc chip. It happened to me once changin to a 3.0 sense rom to a 3.5 sense one and the only thing I did was format /cache with 4ext recovery. If not you can try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146601 Look where it says Fried emmc chip?

[Q] cwm not restoring? MOTO G XT-1045
So I'm kinda new to this so forgive me if I cannot provide adequate information.
Background/Necessary info
Just recently, my phone died and wouldn't turn back on. I fixed this by keeping my phone on the charger forever and holding the power button forever. When the phone finally powered back on, every app began to crash, including process com.google.process.gapps. It was so bad to the point where I couldn't use the phone normally. I tried to fix it by booting into recovery and restoring the phone to the factory version. This brings me to:
The problem
I wiped data/factory reset, wiped the cache and cleared the dalvik cache. For the first time I saw this:
E: can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/last_install
E: can't open /cache/recovery/last_install
I thought those messages didn't mean anything significant, so I went ahead and tried to restore, and I got the error:
Error while restoring /system!
A lot of research on google led me to some:
Attempted fixes
I tried unmounting and mounting system/data/cache/external sd, formatting the cache/system, to reinstall my existing mod from my sd card (that gave me error 7), and I tried wiping the cache partition. Nothing worked.
How do I get rid of those error messages? What am I doing wrongly? It might be staring me right in the face but I cannot see it lol
Also ill post more info if needed. Thanks in advance!
Hey guys, got my 2 year Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300 that suddenly turned off and won´t start. It gets stuck on the page that says in white letters GALAXY SIII...etc before the logo with the samsung blue thing circling appears.
So, tried to go into safe mode. No luck.
Recovery mode:
green android dead on it´s side, red sign and...
e: failed to mount /efs (no such file or directory)
e: failed to mount / system (nsfod)
#Manual Mode#
Applying Multi-CSC
same failed to mount but with system, then cache and then cache/recovery
Did a wipe cache partition and this appears:
e:/format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p8
Cache wipe complete.
e: failed to mount /cache (block device required)
e: can´t mount /cache/recovery/log
e: can´t open /cache/recovery/log
and lots of similar lines.
Now...I´m not an expert, don´t have my phone rooted. After reading hundreds of threads last night, I opted to try the ERASE DATA / FACTORY RESET, and nothing happened.
Downloaded KIES, it will stay in the page saying ¨Connecting¨ so it doesn´t recognize the phone, but I still went into the 2nd option of tools to reload a firmware. It asks for Model and S/N, goes into download...take 5/10 minutes to download it....but then stays in 0% when installing it. It stays like this for hours.
Tried unplugging, and changing USB slots...but still doesn´t go past 0%.
My phone has been having trouble lately with the power button...sometimes when I take the battery out and put it back in it starts on it´s own.
I really don´t mind loosing my data...but if I could retrieve it somehow before deleting everything it would be the topping on the cake!
Thanks for anyone who can assist me on this.
Nico
(Oh...errors that happened 5 minutes before it went dead: something like Messenger stopped working, 3 times....I was doing something else so I decided to uninstall FB Messenger. A couple minutes later the phone died and I couldn´t get past the splash screen (heard you call it like that to the first screen that appears in white letters?).
Yesterday appeared a series of error messages for various applications.
I turned it off, do not restart more '. It remains stuck on the ZTE logo.
In recovery mode, in the bottom they appear in yellow a number of errors:
E: Can not mount / cache / recovery / log
E: Can not open / cache / recovery / log
E: Can not mount / cache / recovery / last_log
E: Can not open / cache / recovery / last_log
E: Can not mount / cache / recovery / last_install
E: Can not open / cache / recovery / last_install
Any operation that I make, I always error.
What I do? Is there any hope to do something or I can throw away?
It 's all original, I have not changed the rom.
Help me I'm desperate. +
Thank you

Hello & welcome to xda-assist,
the closest board I could find for you is this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/device-reviews-and-information/zte-blade-s6-to-t3018031
It's actually for non plus zte blade s6 devices but you can ask there about further information.
Good luck
