Can I bluetooth a 360 or PS3 controller to play N64 roms?
The games run PERFECT on it, but the touch controls suck!
try an icontrolpad. Works a treat. D pad, shoulder buttons and 2 analogue nubs. Works with all the emu's.
Maybe this iControlPad is good, but still too expensive! 70$!??!?! Maybe have someone else bought a bluetooth gamepad thats working too?
The PS3 controller will work via USB but not Bluetooth. Believe it or not the 360 controller isn't Bluetooth, Microsoft use their own proprietary wireless tech, but if you buy one of the wireless dongles for connection one to a PC it should work fine but thats second hand knowledge. I am yet to try it myself.
Personally I just use my PS3 controller
I don't have dock for my Transformer, so have you all any idea how to use a controller?

There's talk that asus will release USB adapter that will plug into the port that the dock uses. I have not seen these for sale as of yet.
Another option, is you can use a wiimote with the classic controller attached to it. Works with bluetooth. Just search the market for wiimote.
Does anyone else think there's enough threads about controllers that there should just be a sticky on high?

Thats what i used to use but you can get a classic pro controller for about $20 plugs in like a nunchuck and it works even better it has d-pad shoulder buttons two analog sticks and the usual controls.
All you have to do to get it to work is download the wii controler app from market and enable custom ime in n64oid then map you contros and your good to go ive used it on star fox super mario pod racers fighters destiny bangoo kazooi and one of the race games

I find that N64 games, especially the games that are N64 exclusives, don't really work as well with a classic controller. The N64 had such a weird button setup. I use my classic controller for PSX, SNES, and GBA games

I thought you guys might want to know about this: I went to Best Buy yesterday to get a Wiimote for my G2x and came across this much smaller controller:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/POWER+A+-+ProPack+Mini+Remote+and+Mini+Chuk+for+Nintendo+Wii/1168433.p?id=1218228673832&skuId=1168433
It's the length of the phone, it's light, and you can put it in your pocket. It doesn't work with the Wiimote Controller APP in either Froyo or CM7, but it does work fine with Bluez IME in CM7. I haven't tried the nunchuk attachment as I'm just using it to play SNES and MAME games.
So how is that Power A Wii remote working out for you? I see mixed reviews for use on the Wii with sync issues and lag, but if it work fine on an android phone, i may think about trying since its nice and small.
I use my PS3 controller. Works like a charm on the fitsnugly CM7 kang.
Yeah but that a lot bigger and more expensive, plus i was really only thinking of using it for basic NES GBA and Genesis emulation for now.

i'm considering purchasing both a wii classic controller & the wii controller ime app.
however, i have a couple of questions which haven't been answered from extensive googling & xda searching.
1. how would i keep the wii remote charged if i don't own a wii console?
2. has anyone any experience or suggestions on alternative bt controller options?
thanks
The wii remote uses 2 AA batteries

right, so you can't use the classic controller without a cable connection to a wiimote?
hmm, maybe it's not such a good solution after all.
alternative suggestions/reviews welcome, since i've been looking at the ingenu gamepad, PS3 controller & Clones
just a pity the gamebone never appeared to make it to market in the original design - that would have been a no brainer!
Oh sorry, I thought you said wiimote not the classic controller. I'm not sure as I don't game too much on my phone but you might try a ps3 controller over a bluetooth connection

i've not played the wii at all, hence the rather simplistic questions.
indeed, the ps3 controller option does appear to be the one which offers most buttons for the buck.
Well, the ps3 and xbox 360 controllers don't work on the galaxy tab 10.1, so I use the wii controller. I order to avoid having to carry both the wiimote and classic pro contollers around, I combined them to make a standalone classic pro controller without wires. It works great. I've got pics on my profile.

Is the wiimote working on your galaxy tab? Did you use some program or something?
I read that the tab cannot handle the wiimote because of the touchwiz
Working great for me on a stock Galaxy Tab 10.1 using Bluez IME (http://code.google.com/p/android-bluez-ime/)
Install the Wiimote version that's under the downloads page.

Now just wondering if there's a wifi game controller that works with old console emulators.
Pretty much I would like to use my phone as a controller for emulation games I run on my htpc.

Ok I imagine it would be fun to go to a friends house and hook up your 5$ Micro HDMI cable from your phone to their TV and start playing some strange video... but besides that, what would be the most impressive? I'm thinking running some video console emulator would be the best trick, if friends with androids could get a bluetooth controller app off market and could play VS.? Is this even possible?:fingers-crossed:
Yes, it is possible. You can use a wii remote, PS3 controller, or USB keyboard as a controller for the games.

theres an app called sixaxis controller that should allow you to pair a PS3 controller thru bluetooth
i also found this which looks kinda kool, i didnt read it to see if it has specific requirments, just looked cool as hell and caught my eye lol
http://www.gizmag.com/gameklip-android-ps3-games/23592/
Also there are some emulators that have built in controller support so all you have to do is pair it with the phone and map the buttons. But for the sixaxis controller app you need to be rooted for the controller to work. Rooting will also give you the option to overclock the processor so some of the more graphics heavy games will run smoother.

That is pretty sick! At first I though it was for the Keyboard function of a smartphone but actually the screen for the game! Though I'd like to see that mount different...In the gaming sense for VS games Tribes Ascend?!!Wonder if they'' have a android app prolly not .... It is better and does not require the TV...In the mean time I came up with using the TV connected to the triumph for a mobile security detail using tinycam monitor installed on the Triumph connected via HDMI to TV and SeCuret spycam Livestream (vs ip cam it has the benefit of detect motion @upload to dropbox as well... Feeding video is all IP camera does

I got GTA Vice City for my TF700 but the on-screen controlls kinda suck. Are there any game controller options (bluetooth or wired) that will work for this combo?

Yes genuine PS3 controllers work great, wired or wireless(with dongle) xbox controllers should work. There are lots of third party Android specific controllers also
I have the samurai android controller from gamestop and it works great. I use it for gta3 and all of my emulators
