My dad is using my old g2 and I was playing with it the other day and noticed that it responds faster than my sensation. The g2 is using am MIUI ROM, but I don't remember my sensation ever feeling that snappy. Is it the software or hardware?

Miui is one of the lightest roms out there. Can't compare aosp roms with sense.

I'm looking to stick with tmous roms for now because I didn't do step 4 on the s off guide. Anyone know which one will provide the best speed and smoothness?

I use Virtuous Sensation and I really like the advanced quick settings and that its available in ROM Manager so I can updates from there. Its smooth and I have more RAM available than on stock. No bloat and no annoying TMo startup/shutdown animations

Does it get rid of the jagged scrolling in the apps draw?

You mean how it scrolls in pages? If so, it still does that, its a Sense 3 thing. When I'm scrolling through all the pages I don't see any hicccups.

Slimsense and civic roms are the best for me. Both run real smooth and fast with great data speeds.

all the tmobile us roms are good they all are stock base with a few tweaks try anyone there no faster than each other i tried them all even the new one training wheels

My girlfriends evo 3d doesn't have any lag when scrolling through the apps.

So what is up with this loading screen? Every time I exit the browser my phone reloads.. it is very annoying, the last time I have seen this was back in my mt3g days when I was running sense roms. Does any one experience this? And what are some solutions if any? Btw I'm completely stock and no root.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
It's basically a memory leak issue that is plaguing this phone in the current sense version. Could be caused by too many apps running or a heavy skin.
I have rooted my phone and removed a lot of the HTC apps and now don't have this issue any more.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
I don't have many apps, so I guess I will root.. I was really trying to refrain from relapsing to my flashing addiction, I thought this was the phone that would break my habbit...lol so what rom are you using?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Ha ha. I have the same problem and had the same thought of sticking to stock. Lasted two days. Using energy ROM.
But to be honest we are spoilt for choice here, arhd, coredroid, leedroid and insertcoin are fantastic.
It all depends on your preference. I like the energy ROM cause it has the right mix of eye candy and smoothness with stability.

I've been using Android Revolution HD and haven't had any issues with memory leaks myself. Phone is incredibly stable, running v3.0.2 w/ dual-core patches. Love it.
Thank yall for your suggestions! I guess I Will root today

every launcher there is (literally)
Bumping because I have tried every apk on my phone and the screen indicator is in the middle of the screen on every one. Please, someone tell me you have touchwiz running on your sensation

It's not out as EVERYONE thinks TouchWiz is one of the worst Launchers available. If you want it you're going to have to port it yourself - or get an SGS2

Touchwiz was one of the main reasons I bought the Sensation. It just looked (and felt rubbish)

And just like that opinion I'm sure ill get another by someone who feels different.

For every 1 who wants TouchWiz on the Senation, there are a million who don't. It's not worth the time/hassle to port it for such a small user base
Well some devs here at xda see a request and once they start, more attention comes. I think touchwiz is pretty cool in ways sense isn't. Of course its not comparable to sense overall, but its better than motoblur.

Can anyone mod the custom touchwiz launcher to fit the sensation? I know it will work on 4.3 inch screen but.I'm guessing the problem is that the sensation screen is qhd

The problem is, no one really likes TW. I've had a Samsung device and all the custom ROMS were TW free.

Yeah but there also a lot that love touchwiz. The team that made the custom touchwiz has themes and give it all kind of support. This is kind of like a request, just hopin a dev picks up on it

I can recommend the OpenSensation CM9 build. It definitely stable (way more stable then HTC's ICS) and really fast. Been using it for about two months now and I'm happy with it.
Opensensation cm9.Do you know how many mb's the file is.the Rom size.

I believe it's around 128MB. It's way less then the bloated ROMs HTC produces.
I would recommend Virtuous Inquisition, basically stock Android 4, some HTC apks are left in such as camera as it is very good, but otherwise bloat free, smooth, fast, no problems
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1408351
Thanks for the information on the Rom.Do you know by chance how big the file size is.
