I tried searching on google, but I was under the impression the the titan had an led notification light. Is that true or am I just fantasizing?
If it's anything like my Mozart, the light is hidden in the earpiece and comes on under 3 circumstances:
1. Plugged in and charging (red)
2. Plugged in and charged (green)
3. Missed call (flashing green)

This is correct, current no light for sms or emails unfortunately
oh ok thanks for the clarification, but do you think it'll be possible for a hack or a registry setting to enable it for texts and email? That would be really useful

Was there any update to this? It's the one feature that would save some LCD usage on my phone. Thanks!
No, there was no change - missed calls only.

I wrote a small app (based on other people's hard work) that will flash the LED when a new notification is active.
I did this because all my previous WM5 PDA's had a visible "new message" notification and I found it useful !
1. Copy the SDKCerts.cab from the Visual Studio SDK onto your device
2. Run the .cab on the device to install the SDK root certs
3. Extract the msgled.zip and copy msgled.exe to the startup folder of your Treo
Done
It *should* check every 10 seconds for new messages and flash the LED if there are any.
Enjoy.
Thanks. . coming from a Treo 650, ive missed this very useful feature via an app called Butler, i do hope that it can also be set to 'steady green or red'

Great app, works like a charm. Thanks!
Works like a charm indeed, but I am running into a small bug! I have my Treo set for powering off the screen after 1 minute, but if I have your tool active it won't. It will disable the display lights, but not actually turn the Treo off...
Thanks it works great.
Good Job !!!
ehh
works great..
only one thing.. i got a voicemail message so it left a notification and i got the blinking led (great).
But there seems no way to get rid of the voicemail notification now
So i tried to remove the msgled file form the startup folder.. doesnt let me.. hmmmm
Anyway to remove the msgled file? or stop it?
Greetzzz

service lights not blinking..

Hi,
I guess you can help me in my Problem.
I had flashed my ROM for softbank x01ht witha widows6 rom(dont remember which version).
Since then the Device lights i.e. the bluetooth light and the service ligts are not working meaning they do not blink at all.
When I connect the Charger, a RED LED flash for a fraction of second and then goes off, though the charging is done with no problem.
Can you pls tell me how can I solve this problem, I have tried to search a solutuon with all the possible combination of key words.
Pls. help me if you know any possible solution.
THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE,
Mandrix
This is great, thanks!
is there any way to turn the led orange instead of green when receiving new messages?
great app though. thx.
Treo 750 - Missed call / message notification orange LED
Zwuncki
I too am looking for an option to do this but it seems that the only option so far has been to turn the LED green for notifications (I am using Mortscript and nled). An improvement over the existing but orange would be nice.
For the Treo 650, this was nicely done by an application called "MissedCall" but from reading posts in other forums it seems that no one has figured out a way to turn on the orange LED in Treo 750 (it does this when out of range of signal in its built in default state).
Works great!!!!
cdelauz02 - what works great? I assume you are talking about Mortscript/Nled? or have you gotten the notification to turn the orange LED on somehow?

Do you think this will drain the battery? Since it checks every 10 seconds for new messages.
Great feature though! Very nicely done!
I've had this script installed for a couple of months now and can't say that I've noticed any impact on my battery life. I still get 2-3 days between charges.

Thanks for your answer. Nice to see some activity on the 750 forum.
At the moment I'm trying SPB Phone Suite. It looks like it also notifies the user by flashing the LED when you've missed a call. One "bug" is when you dismiss a missed call the indicator still shows the number of missed calls.
I might be mistaken, but if I understand what I've read over at the Phonealarm forums the 750 handels notifiers different than other pocket pc's and what you've noticed is one of the results. I believe that the counts should reset if you actually view the missed call log.
Otherwise, how do you like the SPB phone suite? I've been eyeing it, but being a regular reader of the phonealarm forums I know the amount of work that goes into such a program and am a bit weary of a first release. What's your impression?
I must say that I like the idea. It sure is a very good first release! Skinning is not my main target. Stability is
Just installed a Beta of PhoneAlarm. It worked for a few hours, now the screen looks messed up (stripes). Like the images aren't rendered correctly.
Read that the memory footprint of PhoneAlarm is smaller than SPB Phone Suite.
But we're a little of topic now Will post more info when I have it!

I was referring to the led notifications, I dont mind having the led green, but if orange was available it will be nice as well.
I need some help. Is there a way to make the green LED light blink in an other colour (red/yellow) in case of a new message has arrived or a calender reminder has been started? This has been one of the functions that worked with all other HTC devices. The LED is totally useless with this device by blinking green the whole time, only changing to yellow when loading the battery nad red when battery is empty.
I'm not sure about changing the colour, but this device actually has two led lights, I wouldn't consider it completely useless
One on the right shows the battery status:
Red - Batt Low
Orange - Charging
Green - Fully charged
The one on the left :-
blinks blue - bluetooth enabled
blinks green - Wifi is enabled
There are programs like DontForget that allow the led to flicker on reminders, mails, messages etc. Check here:-

thanks for your reply and you are right about the two LED. I was aware of this and of the relating functions. I am also aware of the "don't forget" app but this app does not change the LED on a WM6 device. I am looking for a way to bring the right LED to blink in a changed colour in the case of an event. other htc devices do so, so there must be a way to stir these LED lights. still looking and maybe soemeone has a registry hack or some ideas on this. thx
Hi research12,
did you end up finding a solution to this problem?.. I have exactly the same issue with the vox and would like to find an application or something that can do this...

I am afraid, no. Nobody could solve the issue yet according to my knowledge.
Is there a way to disable the LED indicator? Maybe a registry editing command to accomplish this?
Nope. Sorry, but it's hardware! There are solutions, but they don't work properly!

Yeah, i too want to disable the green blinking led. It uses a sustantial portion of battery for no use, which irritates a lot. Can someone here give any Registry tweak for that??
actually its consumption is very low

does it works on VOX?
you should try with fake cursor
Guys,
I installed the Nueled LED driver (which used to work quite well with mogul) and looks like it has screwed up my LED notification. I even uninstalled it, did a hard reset and sprite restore but my feeling is that the LED is not behaving like it used to. I think there was a constant signal LED but I dont see it any more. The only LED notification which is working is the email one.
Even the WIFi and bluetooth are not giving any notification. any suggestion?
Also:
Can someone please tell me the default LED behaviour (with color) for Sprint 6.5 ROM for the following:
1. Signal available
2. Wifi
3. Bluetooth
4. Messages (Email/SMS/MMS)
5. Reminders
6. Battery Low
7. Charging
8. Battery full charged
Thanks!
if you hard reset there is no way the led is still messed up.
Actually you are right. Some ppc geeks guys confirmed thats how the LEDs have been configured in TP2 Sprint.

My LED only flashes on next text, email, i think missed calls. Other than that, and charging/charged, nother color or light comes up. Only orange and green. Thats how I got it so I guess thats how it supposed to be? LIke when I hook up to bluetooth, it doesnt turn blue or anything. I didnt think it was supposed to?

Yaa, after looking around here and there, I found out thats the case.
Hello All, new Android user (iPhone 3g to Inspire) and trying to understand how the notification LED is supposed to work. I had few missed calls but there is no notification LED at all. I checked the Settings > Display > Notification Flash and all the check boxes are checked. Do I need to check any other setting (saw a post about a 5 min led flash time limit)?
There is a free app from the Market called "Missed Call', has MUCH MORE options and is what I use.
Details here
Try it out and if you like it let us know.
Thank you! I'll try that app and will let you know.
Hmm am I the only one still getting just the same green light with Missed Call?
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App
I also use missed call, and it works great for sound notifications. as for led notifications all i get is a green led. does the inspire only have one color (green). also with missed call the led only blinks for a while when the screen is sleeping...then it stops, anyone else experiencing this?

yeah, the LED does orange/amber and green. In a couple weeks or sometime, the root may allow for us to set suctom colors for different things, a la Nexus One style.
and the LED will only flash for a certain amount of time before it stops because it thinks you are purposely ignoring whatever it is. I'm not sure what the time frame is though
I was having problems with my LED as well. I checked the settings though.... it was off. Face-palm moment. Reading this thread made me realize what I did though, so thanks to you! haha.
Apparently there is no blinking LED indicator for missed calls, i.e., you have to wake up the device to check for missed calls. I guess we can't be too picky at this price point, but does anyone know of a 3rd party app that would provide notification?

Not surprising actually, since the same situation holds for google phones like the Nexus 4 and 5 for example.
Try the excellent Led Blinkerapp which allows to configure the LED for various events including missed calls. The developer has an app thread here on xda.
The app allows you to even configure the LED light blink rate (or can set it to continuous). Please try and post back if this feature works on this phone!

Actually both the nexus 4 and the nexus 5 have colored led's that can be set using lightflow. I never really used it as much as I should.
Thanks guys. I installed the lite version of LED Blinker and it actually worked! It apparently uses it's own blinking light on the center bottom of the screen which is ok. So, this is at least a solution for the Idol 3 until something better comes along. By the way, "Missed Call Reminder" didn't work. "NoLed" did work, but I didn't like it.
Re you saying LED Blinker uses the home button in the nav bar for the blinker? If so that's pretty cool. I may have to try it.
Actually, I think it's right above the home button if I recall. Give it a try.
