change the .txt to .apk and it will install

[APP][ICS] Movie Studio

So one thing that was glaringly missing from the leak was the movie studio.
I really liked it, so I pulled it from Evervolv. It works perfectly on the leak.

you dont even need to install as a system, i just installed it as a regular app and it still works

Link broken. Can someone please repost this? Really need this app. Would be great if the installable one could be reposted as well because I've had issues with the ones pushed to system/apps. Thank you.

Thank you very much, but unfortunately this one crashes just like every other version I've downloaded. As soon as I click to create a project the app crashes. I've tried installing it directly and pushing it to system/app and the same thing happens. I've put the appropriate permissions on it at well and it doesn't work either. The program works fine on cm9.
I mean the program ultimately sucks anyway and will often export a video with audio that is totally out of sync and at a horrible bitrate, but given that we have no alternatives, sometimes it is just really necessary to be able to splice two videos together. Hoping someone comes out with a better solution.

Works fine here on UCLD2, (alien stock, stock deodexed)

I'm using a galaxy nexus so maybe that's the variation.

I love movie studio and I wish their was a touchwiz version of it. This app has been installed on many other ROMS and it works well. Try it out :thumbup:

Well I dropped the file in and it didn't work so I changed permissions by checking all nine boxes to rw and it worked. Don't know why it made me fix permissions but it did...

i was able to install this on my device but i could not start any project... "this video could not be added" is all i'm getting. videos are shot from my camera (native cam app from att stock rom) any idea what to do please? ty!

My mistake. I was able to download and install the app.. i was able to add audio.image and video... but the PROBLEM is i cant play the video and save the video.. my tab is not samsug Ainol aurora 2

Google Now Working

For anyone wanting to give Google Now a try on the photon Q. I gave this a test run no problems to report other then did seem to drain battery alittle faster thruout the day. But worked no issues or FC cards popped up as i used it more.
You do need to be Deodexed to run this
you can do that here if you havent already.
I used •M7 - mikeyxda's version 7 Offline/Online

IF you decide you want to remove Google now and return to stock use this

it deletes acouple of needed files for normal search on the Photon.

[Q] All share app.

Hey guys i was wondering if any of y had the all share app that came pre installed in our sgs4g or have a better alternative to stream content from our phone wirelessly to our other devices.

If you're on GB then you can simply extract the AllShare.apk from a ROM that has it or go in one of lumins thing and look for the APK. IF it fails to install try pushing it and fixing permissions. It will most likely fail because it has Samsung proprietary stuff so just follow Lumins guide if nothing goes into plan.
If it doesn't work at all then I'm sorry, it might need other proprietary stuff like Swype.

I know how to do that is just that alm the links for the old roms containing this app I want are dead, that's why I was asking for the apk .

check lumins links in his signature I think he has a link to the gb 2.3.6 repository which should have the allshare app.

Today is your lucky day...
I had to flash back to stock, and I remembered this thread, lucky you.
so... here is the apk, not sure it will work because is may have dependencies, but try it out.
apk does not say AllShare, but the icon matches the app in the drawer.
if it won't install, push it to the system\apps folder with a root file explorer.

Just curious, did it install or did you have to push it?
I was afraid that would be the case. It most likely has touchwiz and other proprietary Samsung files it depends on. Possibly even the kernel like wifi calling.

You can see in logcat when an apk won't install because it is missing something -- and it will usually say what. I've seen clear logcat indications that TW libraries are what is missing on Memo.apk, for example.

Would anyone happen to have a copy of the Nocturnal Xi40 r133 (last release?) Rom? I wanna use the .png's in the statusbar that the Rom had as I just loved em on the Roms out now.. Thnx in advanced!

see the thing is i tried downloading the rom and it said file not found..... i also tried on google and found an earlier version but it also wouldnt download..... im one of the few that try things b4 saying they dnt work and search for things b4 saying they aint there

WTF!!!??? thats the same site i tried to download it before when i searched for the rom through the threads, but it said item not found anyways, thanks alot for pointing me to it! i hadnt realized it was working again, my bad :S but yeah thanks bro!!
