This is released for your testing pleasures as work on it continues. Enjoy the taste of Ice Cream Sandwich!

I think that we (the non-devs) should let them (the devs) have this thread without clutter.
Can we keep non-dev chatter out of this one?

Good luck guys! Wish I could help out somehow!

woot woot. here we go
good job plat

Hey guys...I'm working on getting the touch screen working. No use in posting it for everyone to boot and look at the pretty homescreen for 1 min then stuck at the lock screen. Once the screen is working I will post something for everyone to play with.
XsMagical - hit me up on gtalk

Ok I just wanted to ask, do u just need android SDK to work on this Rom? I am no android developer but I do know basic programming.

Evo has the best devs, unofficially before and officially now considering we lost some.

The Fryetech Rom

The Fryetech Rom for HTC Thunderbolt
After making a Windows and Mac program to automate the root process on the HTC Thunderbolt I have decided to put out my own rom.
I kind of did this for my self but I thought I would share. And I will be making it better over time.
I'm making this rom to be as smooth as possible.
This rom is kind of Nexus One inspired but is based off of the stock thunderbolt rom
Right now this is a beta. Just thought I would post it up anyways.
I will be working on it more tomorrow and so on.
By stock it has the imoseyon leanKernel normal v0.85
get setcpu from market to get your phone to 1.4Ghz Sable
Please report bugs here.
This has been updated.
Sorry I forgot to add the gallery + music app. So It has now been added.
Also cleaned up system for a lighter rom.
Video and Download here.

being an ex Nexus One owner, this rom brings me back. seems to be running smooth so far. will keep checking back for further updates and see how far you can get this
PS, this should be in the development section, just to let u know
on another note, you should take off the recent apps from the notification bar and replace it with them toggles a lot of roms have now. i think its a neat feature. just giving u some feed back
Running the 1.0RC very smooth so far, im liking it and looking foward to future updates.

Would like to see what's different about this and any other ROM...? Looks pretty smooth and such.
If this is the wrong group I apologize. I posted it after not sleeping much for 3 days supporting people with the rooting scripts I put out there.
Keep it here lol great stuff though amazing battery life

Would it be to much to ask if I asked if this can be put into the development section? This rom is to bad ass not to be.

screenshots? i can't access youtube at my job, and i bet i'm not the only one
you'll get more hits if you post this in the dev section. wow, i never thought i'd see a proper dev thread misplaced in the general section. its always the other way around lol
edit: i saw the video. slick looking rom, makes me miss my nexus one

Really nice looking ROM so far. Is there any plans to have Power Control Widgets added to your ROM in the future at least with the option to have them on/off. I know a number of ROMs on the Droid 1 had this feature.

miui-development-wip-port

Just so the people that actually wanna know whats going on yes we are rebuilding miui not because the other port was a bad port there was just to many issues with thee rom (eg fix one thing break 40 more things...) SO the decision was made to just start from scrach porting it from the vibrant using the latest gb leak and rebuild everything back up for the sgs4g. Yes this is still a port but just at its base. Everything will be edited and working for the sgs4g. It wont be released tell its stable enough and all the features people need are 100 percent solid. (visual errors excluded that can be quickly fixed har )
Anyways Me A few members from rootz and eventually desexton for the speedtweaks are working on the rom we will use this thread to communicate updates to you all as we see fit and when we have stuff for you to read thats worthwhile...
Thanks for your understanding.
Please note if you plan to toll this thread be warned it will not be tolerated and posts will be reported promtly to the mods stay on topic enjoy...
Great that you decided to go ground up. Sound be another great ROM when it's done. Thanks and keep us posted.
I'm willing to help. I'm not as good as you guys, but let me know

Is this just a theme on 2.3.4 gingerbread?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
OK, gingerbread for this phone, is now 2.3.5 not 2.3.4, and on that note, MIUI is a rom, not based on samsungs 2.3.5 at all. So, do some research before you ask questions like that.
This is not trying to be mean, just a heads up.
I am happy there is still work going on ...but although u said u will not release until stable ...but I love this rom soo much ...not problems but ring...if u did fixed it already just post it ...
Don't let us wait....

Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
A stable release is well worth the wait. We got a taste and this news is awesome. Thank you guys!
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
I think waiting for a stable rom, hopefully an almost final, release would be better than releasing a stable rom with lots of issues... for example a beta. I mean, Raver does have the phone and he knows most of the issues. Sooo for me it keeps the thread clean and he doesn't waste time helping people solve miscellaneous problems. Bottom line: there's no point in beta testing when dev has the phone. Just sayin'.
when its done not before then

CM9 for inspire

I am currently working on porting CM9 to the phone. Once I get back from my trip I'll post the work I have so far. I really don't want to work on it much longer. I don't own an inspire its my sisters, and I have the photon and epic 4g touch I spend most my time on. Everything works "ok" there are some issues that I'm sure some of u wonderful devs can figure out camera works but lags a little, and sometimes touch won't work after waking from deep sleep. Its mostly getting the right cwm to work with it and a kernel to play well. I'm guessing once we get a cwm made to flash it properly then the rest of the issues will be a cake walk. I've noticed on several other devices the devs had to develop a special cwm specifically for their build of CM9 I know nothing about doing that sorta thing (yet) but um yea... just thought I would let you guys know.

I'm ready for some 9 of any variety..Thank you in advance for your dev work....g
Should I keep it stock cm9 or should I make this mod default? Even as default you will still have the option in settings to keep standard layout. This mod just gives you even more customization of the notification bar that does not come with cm9 (yet)

Lol ok. I also have some semi-bad news. I was doing all my work on my secondary computer which was raided between 4 drives and on of the drives had a slight hickup which caused my computer to crash. My brother in law thought he could fix it while I was gone and in the process he wiped everything instead of trying to save the data on the drives. So I lost all my work current work on cm9. But do not fear. Luckily I did a backup of my progress a little after I started so now I just need to apply the fixes I had done before I left. I know what works and what didn't work so that will save me some trial and error time
Sent from my MB855 using XDA
Oh and I got the camcorder working by combining the driver from the desire HD with the driver from my photon (which technically is the atrix driver)... I was just goofing around, didn't think it was going to work but it did. I was able to record a video in VGA mode but when set to 720p it FC'ed with stock camera. Kinda odd cuz I couldn't get it to do anything with just the source from the dhd but take pictures.
Later I'll look around for other HTC devices with a similar camera that has working ics camera drivers. And compare. See what they have done to alter their drivers for ics

Thanks for pointing that out. That's one thing I had not tested till just now. And yea its working just fine. Also cm9 and cm7 have completely different source files
Btw here's an update:
Honestly I had not touched this sense the last time I said anything on this forum. I just got an Atrix 2 and they don't even have a working android 4.0 anything. So I have been working really hard to get that off the ground. I'm sorry its taking so long to get this rom to your phone but considering you guys already having near perfect running 4.0 rom this build isn't as high on my priority list but the good news is as soon as we get cm9 going for the Atrix 2 I will give that phone a break to have this build up and going for you. Figure a few more days with the inspire cm9 then I'll have it up

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27889681
IMPORTANT UPDATE 5/23:
Hey thanks to all who have downloaded and checked this out. I guess there must be minimal issues since I've yet to hear of any since posting. This should be good for at least next few FXP updates since most of 7.2 is already in-place. Although I do plan an upgrade to a final status with this I may try and wait for the Official release which I suspect is right around the corner. Awesome work by the way and many Thanks to the FXP team for an already KILLER rom. I'm now turning attention to CM9 however in the interim if there are any issues or questions regarding this package don't hesitate to hit me up. Thanks Everyone, eb
Fellow X10-FXP-S Enthusiasts
I've been working on various theme mods in effort to achieve Xperia-S look and feel on latest FXP releases. I really had only planned to use it personaly but have since decided to share what I have so far and see if it helps anyone.
It still needs plenty of tweaks so if there's enough interest Ill be happy to continue working towards finished versions.
Thank me if you dig it and let me know if you have any positive feedback or require additional instruction, etc. Enjoy

Listen-Anybody wiling to contribute to this effort is most certainly welcome to have at it. There are many things that I've encountered(primarily cosmetic, rom is very stable) that are quite simply beyond my current capability.
BOTTOM LINE:
I love the new Sony themes, apps,etc-I love what FXP stands for and is all about-I love the performance and flexibility of Cyanogen, enough said.
Simply put this is merely my feeble attempt to 'have my cake and eat it too".

Yes my man, I do know very well of you're work but you are right in the later. This is not a ROM, just an extended theme if you will for cm7.
I do keep up with this forum and firmly believe it is populated by some of the coolest and genius minds in the Android community. Although I'm about to upgrade to an ION I will be keeping my X10 on full blast for that very purpose.
As mentioned in my initial post this was aimed to fill a personal need to bring "S" type look and feel to a Cyanogen base which is very similar to what you've been doing. I guess you could say maybe this could be concidered the "Theme" equivalent to your efforts. I could be wrong but through my search I have yet to find the "S" equivelant of such or I simply would've used it. That's not to say someone isn't working on the same damn thing at this very moment. But hey, from what I've seen in other forums & devices I say the more the marrier. After all that's kinda what AOSP's all about right?
Lets just hope & pray it stays that way.

you got me wrong reread what i wrote , i just thinked that you dont know about my rom , and also say that its good for peapole who want to stay on CM7 and have only the theme without the app , i not blame you and since i am on xda i nevr do that and even peapoles who taking my rom to mod and release i give my permissions so you just get me wrong , also one think can u upload it to mediafire ? i loved the clock font and if you agree will use on my next release
cheers

Much Love, much Love.
Offcoarse and absolutely.
I'll look into mediafire, long as they don't want my blood type and first born cause I'm not down w that.
In the meantime if u can manage to get the "MAIN THEME" zip it contains everything already formatted. I think the digitalclock widget is what you want. As I'm sure you well know it took me forever to get the right elements together to get even close to that.
If I'm not mistaken its the SomaThin from Champ's port but not completely sure since its now Clocktopia.
If you mean the lockscreen clock I believe that's an ICS hybrid from ThJap's ROM...maybe.

AOKP milestone-5 build

Hello, I've been around this community since I bought my Infuse back in August 2011. I would like to say I love the community here but felt like I should give something back. *So here is the teaser post*
I have finally got AOKP built successfully from source (touch screen was holding me up). I wouldn't have been able to do this without Entropy, JT or their predecessors work. However I don't have enough posts to put this build in the Infuse4g Android Development forum. Plus I'm waiting to see how this thread goes (I don't want to be stepping on anyone's toes by releasing it).
I will be glad to become a tester.
If you can put it here.

If it was I, I would have some testers for the build of yours and have them provide you with feedback then shot it out to the GP "general public"...and follow the seasoned dev leads...you can always make some post in the threads that are already there in place regarding CM9...questions and other threads to build your post count, but most importantly, while your building your post count, you have your testers make some runs with your build, but as you have read in the dev thread...be aware of the questions and comments and yes the ones that don't read will be your hardest questions given....
