Problems With My Infuse

So I'm loving my Infuse, but I'm having a problem. Whenever I turn it off and then back on (which so far has only been when it dies) my home screen always gets screwed up. My Pandora widget disappears, and I am not able to add it back unless I reinstall the app. Also I have a firefox icon in the app tray at the bottom, and that disappears too.
What can I do to fix this?
by any chance does you live wallpaper change too?
i haven't noticed icons or widgets disappearing but i noticed my wallpaper goes back to stock after a reboot.
I've had the stock wallpaper all along so I have no idea, ill try it out and see what happens.
You need to install apps on phone not external SD card that will fix it. At least the live wallpaper.

I put on a live wallpaper and it stayed there after reboot, but my Pandora widget still disappeared, and I had Dolphin browser instead of Firefox in the app tray, but that disappears too.
How do I choose to install apps to the phone?
Go to settings, application, ext SD card in the top right, find application you want to move click it it will say move to phone click it. It will install on phone

I don't even get an option to add the Pandora widget after I move the app to the phone.
Did you reboot the phone?

eroracing, thanks for your posts about this issue - I already exchanged my infuse once, but am too chicken to reboot this new one yet. I followed your instructions about the SD card; my phone came with an external SD card and there's also an internal card listed in the "SD card and phone storage" menu, as well as the phone storage itself. I'm hoping the 'sd card' on the far right in the Applications menu is referring to the external card.
I moved what I could to the phone, but I'm still too chicken to reboot!

Click to collapse
Thanks i wasn't sure on how to do this before.

Yes the one all the way to the right. And I'm not sure what you mean you don't want to reboot your phone. Just power off and back on again.

Ok, I finally screwed up the courage to power my infuse off and back on, and all is ok. Whew! Because of course once you get this large a screen, you just can't go back to something smaller!

How do I set my sd card as my default save as spot for apps?

if you use CyanogenMod (or any of CM-based ROMs), it can be done via Settings/CyanogenMod Setting/Apps/
if not, sorry, have no idea yet
there's an app for this
a2sdfroyo
allows you to set default install location

LG Notification sounds?

Here's a question:
If I'm running an AOSP ROM, is there any way to port in the stock LG notification sounds/ringtones? There's a few that I like better than the AOSP ones.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
It is very simple to do in Android. On your sd card or in the internal phone memory create a directory called "media" and inside that create one called "audio". Then inside that just put the sounds you want in folders called "alarms", "notifications" and "ringtones". The phone will then automatically scan and use the new sounds and you can select them in settings. Here are the all the sounds from the stock LG rom. They are already in the appropriate folders just copy it to the internal or external sd card.

Apps.going missing

I notice apps I download sometimes can't be found even though there shown if I go to my app list and I can run them. But there not in the app folder. Sometimes moving them from sd back to phone fixes it sometimes not. I'm on embro 3.2 any easy fixes?

Some apps won't run from the SD and must be installed internally. Other than that, I'm not sure what you have happening.
Give us some examples of the apps that do this too you.

Songify the latest app this happened with. It moved to the sd card after bring installed for a few days and I didn't move it. When it moved to the sd card it vanished from the app drawer, so I moved it back to the main storage which didn't fix it then I also ran fix permissions
Along with a reboot and the app restored itself. though when it vanished I could still run it from system settings just not the app drawer. This happens randomly to random apps and always after I used the app a few times. Something moves them to the sd card then they vanish. Don't get what moves then or why I can run them but not see them moving them to the sd card my self doesn't cause the issue.

Try rebooting the launcher. May not of updated in the app drawer. Also mounting the sd card while apps are on sd cause them to vanish from app drawer.

Gallery (media) lock app

I need advice for the best app of this kind.
I used vaulty and smart lock free and they both have isssues, is there any better app without bugs?
U can try hide it pro
Sent from my GT-I9103 using xda app-developers app
yes, hide it pro is the best out there..
Although, locking or hiding apps dont work..
You can hide any files (images and videos) safely and uniquely under this super duper app.. all under the disguise of a nice working audio manager..
Here is the link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartanuj.hideitpro&hl=en
Anuj has done a brilliant job !!
tnx ! will try
hm, this app is storing all the hidden files in the internal memory, and i don't see the way to make it store them on sd card
how can i store them on the external sd card?
You can change the vault location in tha app settings.
Sent from my GT-I9103 using Tapatalk 2
that's the problem, in settings it only shows you the possibility of creating a new folder, but a folder inside the one that is already in the internal storage, there's no option of browsing through folders and making now ones outside the internal sotrage.
if it's possible can i get clearer explanation how?
Sorry I couldn't reply early as I was away.
I would suggest to un hide all the files from this app. Then put these original files back to ur desired location (sd card) .
Now go to settings /advanced settings /change vault location to point to your external_sd loc. Now if you hide, your files will be mounted in your ext card.
hope this works.
