[Request] gingerbread keyboard with edit-able smiley key

Can anyone give me a flashable zip that has a smiley key that you can edit? or at least one with a normal '' as opposed to '' key?

Yeahh I realllllllyy hate that pesky little dash. I'm pretty sure nobody makes smileys like that lol

Hahaha me too but word of advice, don't go tweaking the xml files unless ya know what you're doing lol I called myself editing the popup smiley xml and flashing the apk but now I can't even use smileys at all Haha but im gonna trial and error all day to see if I can't hook us up in case no one else replies

Unfortunately no lol but i've been away from my pc for a good while and have been postin with my phone lol Gonna run thru the files this weekend and try to cook us up somethin..I'll try to keep ya updated more on this my good sir, didn mean to go incognito haha

Threw this together earlier using only my phone while on a longggggg boring ride ;__;
I'd have to say that the zipsigner app is by far one of the best dev apps to come forward in the android market.
Haha, this keyboard was probably the only thing that was worthwhile about the trip
Edit: Forgot to add that yes, the zip is flashable

Kudos to you my good sir cuz I broke my neck trying to edit XML files to get this to work to only be hit with countless fc's lol mind if I ask what you did for future reference?

Don't see why it wouldn't be..I've used it in every application I have that has an input box (terminal emulator, handcent, stockmms, titanium, etc, etc) without any problems
To the OP: I'll have the keyboard up once I find a good download for it and have 5-10 min free at work

Here's the non-themed keyboard for you guys.
This zip is flashable as well
And hopefully I'll have access to a computer relatively soon to make a write up for you guys on how I did it (plus the pink CM theme, and a couple other requests people made ) - I'm still out of town for a little while longer.
Pictures will be included for the short tut because they make everything look better

[THEME] RedStarV0.2 2/21/12 [WIP]

Ok well this is my first theme and is still a work in progress. I'm using this as a learning experience so any feedback is much appreciated.
I built this on boneSTOCKeteer Rom. So it will work on that rom. I DO NOT KNOW if it will work on other roms. I am pretty sure anything close to stock it will work on though.
Side Notes
-The dialer is partially themed.
- I used the ics styled dialer and haven't found a way to fully theme it just yet.
- No apps are themed, just some icons.
- The mms bubbles are themed.
This is really just a learning thing for me and it is my first theme. I will build this up hopefully.
What's to come
I'm gonna fully theme some apps as I learn more. Battery percentage.

Tone down the red to a somewhat darker red, not the blood red

well, i got a suggestion for you (and please dont take it as rude or what not), the whole JUST adding letters to an image is not working so good in this case. You need to try to match the letters or whatever you are adding to the image colors. A few examples, then assasins creen image is hot, but the purple letters look out of place, maybe match then to the colors of the background, and add a shadow that matches with the lighter/brighter color. Another example will be to make the androids on the girls a bit smaller and match their outfits, and maybe a little soft blurring on the edges so it looks like a real tattoo. Either way, most of this look real good, just need a light touch up Thanks for sharing!
EDIT: here is a quick example of keeping the color scheme, hope it gives you ideas

Please don't bump your own stuff. It looks a bit silly... as a very wise dev told me, if the fans like your work, they will find it. (I hope you didn't skip over what PHE-NOM said, it's VERY good advice.) Also, don't forget to link the site you originally found the pictures on, because it is plagiarism. Guys I'm rocking the black and cyan theme with CM10... looks awesome along with hello00's circled blue/black icons. Thing is he only has them for about 10 apps lol... so I'm asking if anyone has any suggestions to maybe match them? I like s2w's icons.. I've looked through HUNDREDS of icon sets, just can't really see any to match. Maybe someone knows right off top? Here's a pic for reference, would just like them blue

Yea man it gets tedious. You'd most likely be donating a whoolllleeeee lot of time towards that. But I wanted to ask you, what's different in the update that match h8's cm10 update? I dirty flashed the newest cm10, then flashed your theme without updating and everything looks legit... everything works fine lol

Haha well for each build I have to import the theme into H8s' CM10. If not we would just end up with old files in a new ROM missing tweaks etc,understand?:good:

I just made this, it's very simple. I basically just wanted to make a template to highlight the time and weather. I may make more, but I'm hoping some people in the community will contribute to this thread with more creative themes. :thumbup: if any contributors do add to this thread, I will add their theme to this or next post
