Ok, I'm a "noob" so it wouldnt let me post in the MIUI ROM thread.
I flashed my Sensation a little over a week ago with this ROM and its great.
I mean several issues.
But, very reliable.
However, Iv been looking to see if I even flashed the latest ROM?
When I check my version it says "MIUI-109300"
Obviously there is a 1.10.7 out there, I want to say thats what I flashed.
But when my phone is saying "109300" Im thinking "1.9.3" lol
Does anybody have an answer to this?
The only reason I havent reflashed is because I dont want to lose my data.
The MIUI updater says I have the current version.
Kinda confused.

ok so i already have my phone rooted (samsung captivate) and installed a custom rom ,,now i want to install a different rom, my question is, do i just need to repeat this process when installing a new rom??
Pretty much.
I reflashed my cap just an hour ago to Cognition 3.01. I was running pretty much every other available cap rom this previous week.
*WARNING*
You may become addicted to flashing. So long as it involves no nudity and does involve a cell phone, this should be ok.
thanx!! and yeah i think im well on my way to becoming addicted lol,,, just wanna try out some different roms, gps not working on my current rom ~cappy zip~

Be careful though. Some I9000 based roms will completely mess up your samsung kies program, giving "unregistered device" and stuff.... fixable, but I'd rather just as well avoid it to begin with. Problem is it appears most newer ROMs are based off I9000 stuff. Bleah. I already said to heck with it, I'll fix it later after all the shinies. wuuuuuuuu
thanks for the info im still kinda new at this,, im gettin better at it but i aint quite ther yet lol,, im currrently running an i9000 based rom ,,all seems to be good but thanks for the update!
I have a thunderbolt currently running BAMF 1.6.3 Froyo with a Froyo baseband. I WAS running BAMF 2.0.5 (beta) with a Gingerbread radio I LOVED it and want to go back... I have looked, and looked and LOOKED for someone who has bricked their device after having it work for a week or so... I ran the BAMF 2.0.5 for about a week with no problems...
Please tell me if you were one of the affected (bricked) thunderbolt owners... what rom were you running? what baseband? where did you get your baseband? and what happened when your phone bricked? and what city and state were you in when it happened? please be as specific as possible...
If your Thunderbolt STILL WORKS, please, do not post here, I am looking for people who's phones were working with Gingerbread and suddenly stopped and boot-looped... Not booting into android, not random reboots, but wont even let you into the boot loader (Clockwork recovery or similar)...
If you got your phone working, I'm not looking to hear from you... if you broke your phone because you messed up the rooting process or flashing wrong, not interested in your story, sorry... I have successfully flashed and had working Thunderbolt with Gingerbread... I just want to know how likely will I be screwed if flashing back successfully... I have spare batteries if I have that non-charging-thunderbolt issue that some had, that I did NOT have...
Thank you for your time and support and all those with Team BAMF! - You guys ROCK
Hey all...this is my first Android phone (coming from a long line of BB's) so please bear with me.
I managed to root my phone a few weeks ago using the instructions found on this site and it worked great! I wanted to update to Gingerbread 2.3.3 and found the "easiest" way to do so here:
http://androidadvices.com/how-to-up...-to-gingerbread-2-3-3-firmware/#comment-10119
Downloaded odin, flashed the ROM and everything seemed to work fine. I wont bore you guys with reading everything on that page, but it seems that that particular version was a bit buggy....especially with the missing dialed calls in the call log.
Now, I read another post as per the link below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146145
Is this the same version as I already downloaded? I just want to avoid the same issue with the call log.
Basically, all I want to do is to update my phone to the latest version of Gingerbread, the EASIEST way possible, and to get the most STABLE and best performing version. If I could avoid all the bloatware, then thats a plus!
I dont really care about rooting, or any other fancy features. I just want a good performing, quick and stable phone.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
download dsexton's modified build.prop and it will be more responsive, smoother and faster
Problem is that none of the gb roms out right now are official releases. They are leaks so they are supposed to be buggy. The devs here are working hard to get a full gb rom with recovery support asap.

Hi Guys,
I'm hoping you knowledgeable people can point me in the right direction in updating the ROM on my Sensation.
It's currently on InsertCoin 4.0.3, Android 4.0.1, Radio 10.14.9035.01_M. I've not updated the ROM for months as last time I tried, I messed something up and I was relieved just to be able to get back to the old version. Looking at the situation today, that ROM has been merged with another team's efforts and I'm a bit confused as to how to progress.
The latest Chrome seems to have played havoc on my device, hence the need to update. Has anyone else experienced these issues? Freezing, crashing, resetting the phone.
I was interested in Cyanogen Mod, but there doesn't appear to be a stable build as yet. Which ROM should I go for?
Any help is most appreciated from this clueless chap.

Hi,
It seems from your radio that you are still on GB.
In order to update your phone's firmware to be able to use the latest CM9 ROMS,look HERE
Many thanks for the advice, I'll start with that. I'm on ICS already tho?
Thanks again
Yes you will need to update your firmweare to 3.32 for Ics roms.
Once your firmweare is updated correctly you can flash a ics ROM then. Remember gb wont run with Ics firmweare and ics wont run with gingerbread firmweare. Hope this helps some.

Hi,
Your radio number is a GB one.
That is probably what is causing your Chrome issues.
Follow the thread I gave you and update your firmware fully(which includes the radio)
Remember, when the firmware has finished,it will say update complete.
Thanks Guys, will have a look.
Many thanks malybru & realsis, your help is much appreciated.
