Hi,
The files are "xxxxxx.apk"
Download them, and place them on the root of your sd card.
Then use the app I showed you to find them and install them...

Any way to push .apk's on a computer with no admin rights?

Or am I just out of luck? I'm at work and don't have administrator rights, so I can't install ADB drivers either. Is there another program I can use?
(depending on the app) just use a file manager to install.

I'm needing to install a couple of HTC apps that aren't included with the RegawMOD app (quickoffice, pdfreader, and the navigator interface). Is that possible using a file manager?

(depending on app) file explorers use package installer to install the apps, overwriting is more than possible.

Yup
you can, and if it says "Install failed" or something close to that, you can always use the "move" or "cut" function in the explorer to just paste it into the directory you want it in. then reboot.

No reboot required if you're using root explorer. Matter of fact, I always export my ringtones directly from SD card to sys/media/audio/ringtone w/ every flash of a new rom, and they'll stay in the system for the duration of future flashes (until complete wipe anyways..)
Thanks guys. I was able to use ASTRO File Manager and it worked like a charm.
Now I just gotta find a few more apk's that I need.

When you plug the usb in does it show that it detected a device but can install the drivers? If so and you have the sdk tool kit on your pc you can push via the adb command to the phone. I had the same issue at work could see or load any drivers for my phone but was able to push everything to my phone.

1.6 SemcIME

Can someone give me the older semcime from 026? I already asked for it, but I got some non-installable HtcIME crap
Thanks in advance

Hey, umm I managed to delete this from my phone, but this version won't install. Does it have to be specific to the firmware?

you may need to enable "Unknown Sources" to be able to install apps that are not from the market. Make sure you have a file browser (EStrongs File Manager is good and on the market), copy the apk file to your SD card using a PC. open EStrongs and browse to the location. install.
Oh, it doesn't work :'(
SemcIME is already in the system
I need the old default keyboard back, or a very similiar. Are there any?

Im not too sure what is causing this problem to your phone.
But maybe you can try this wallpaper setting app from tne market called: wallpaper wizardrii.
Hope this helps
Sounds like an odd issue but I empathise with you. Can you try clearing the cache from your market to see if you can reinstall the app? Let us know the outcome.

No you don't.
Just take the apk from your original ROM. It is called TwWallpaperChooser.apk.
Paste it into system/app and reboot.
If you are on an odexed ROM, you will need to copy TwWallpaperChooser.odex also.

oh thank you very much!
OK, found it.
Download this zip and extract the two files inside. Copy them on to your SD card and then using Root Explorer, or whichever file explorer you use with root permissions, go into system/app and if they are there, delete TwWallpaperChooser.apk and TwWallpaperChooser.odex.
Then paste the two files on your SD card into system/app. Before you reboot, you will need to change the file permissions for both of the files. To do this in Root Explorer, long press on each file and select 'permissions'. Then you want to select the boxes as shown below (1 = tick and 0 = no tick).
110
100
100
Then press OK.
Then reboot.
thank you very much...i tried but nothing the issue remains...so tomorrow i'll flash the new KL7 rom and i'll see if i'll solve it(i think so).
Thank you,you have been very kind!

[Q] Settings-->Themes

There is this option called Themes in the settings menu. consider me a complete newbie and tell me how that works(Like does it help in changing themes if so how do I do it).
There is no option called themes on the stock Rom. What are you running?

A custom ROM dev may choose to add the new CM theme engine to his/her ROM. If you were to install a theme (via Play Store or .apk from XDA, NOT themes that you flash or where you modify files) you use the theme manager to use the theme.

You deleted a symlink that linked to your internal storage, thus it deleted everything. You can't see the symlink in a file explorer while in Android but while connected to a PC, you can.

wow never expected it to be so complicated. Does this symbolic link show up only in custom rom's, if no then normal users like myself would probably mistake it for an empty folder and delete it.
Thanks for the explanation.

It exists in any ROM. You shouldn't delete anything if you don't know what it is.
