Thanks, attachments wasn't working for me probably because I had some problems with javascript on my browser.
Now it's better
Thanks for this great app!
The ability to play multiple simultaneous sounds is a must have feature.
On my unmodified HTC Incredible running 2.2 the text is larger than the horizontal bar it is supposed to fit in, so the bottom of the text gets cut off. Or maybe the horizontal area is too small vertically.

Row had accidentally fixed height. Also noticed that board got unreadable when using line break.
Thanks
Doing some relatively bad thread necroing here, but I don't know that I want to create a whole new thread just for a suggestion or two...
A couple bugs (at least on my Samsung Galaxy S running stock Eclair):
When the screen shuts off from idling and you have a graphical soundboard open, the app crashes. This also happens if you lock the screen by way of the power button. This happened with the graphical Soundboard I was working with, as well as with a brand new, freshly created graphical soundboard (no sounds added, completely default settings). This does not seem to happen with a List-style Soundboard, or when you're up one level looking at the list of soundboards you've created.
When selecting files for either new sounds or for the graphics of those sounds, the font is too large for the row height and gets cut off at the bottom of any text. It's not unreadable, but the individual rows are hard to select. In actuality, the font size is probably okay, and the row height just needs to be increased.
Some suggestions:
In a Graphical soundboard, have an auto-align function like the main app window; something where you can set up how many rows and columns you want, and then arrange the sounds by that layout, in a grid-style layout.
Options for both Auto-arrange and manual arrange of the above function.
Create new graphical soundboard objects in a fresh space away from other items, so you're not creating new ones on top of each other. Possibly requires auto-arrange to be turned on.
Allow a default setting for the Name, Image, and Sound settings for a particular Soundboard so you don't have to set each one every time you make a new soundboard item.
I just want to say how AWESOME this app is. It lets me create EXACTLY the kind of soundboard I want, with a background pic, images for each sound, individual volume settings, you can play sounds overlapping or choose not to... It's GREAT! ...I just wish it was a bit easier to create multiple soundboard objects, and didn't crash from graphical soundboards. XD
Hope this is helpful!
It's not necroing. This thread is alive as long as I am developing this app. I'm developing this app until I state that I am not developing this app (on this thread).
Also please don't expect me to update this app if there are no suggestions or bug reports.
All posts to this thread are most welcome.

This is exactly why there are "Duplicate sound" feature on sound options. If you are sure that this feature doesn't fit your purposes please inform me and I will consider making "default sound" feature.
Notice that duplicating sound makes it exact duplicate, so you may not notice that there are two sounds one on top of the other.
I have both bugs fixed by now. I will get back to your other suggestions when I have more time. I will be updating my application asap.

I think that particular one was just a "User Education" issue. XD I haven't tried seriously playing around with it yet since I'm at work (and already spent enough time the other day messing with it while at work, LOL), but even so.
For me anyway, my suggestions were just things I felt would make the experience even better, but since it's already GREAT, they're just kinda "meh, whenever you get to them." Very happy to see 1.07 so quickly though to fix the issues, I'm just beaming now, this app is entirely too awesome.

Well I appreciate your suggestions (and bug reports too) since I have ran out of ideas what I should add. Sure I could figure something out if I really tried but I'm not sure if that would make this app better or worse.
That said - thanks
need help posting soundboard on market
Hello I used Mikuz unlimited soundboard app creator to make a custom soundboard, i got everything created and sounds assigned and icons, and the project name is in green, and now I am not sure how to post it up for people to share and try out for free any help would be appreciated.
can this be uploaded to the market? or how does that step work?

Make sure to read "Sharing board" topics on help.
It can not be uploaded to the market.
To share your board on internet I would suggest you to make it zip file on computer or on your Android device.
(Make sure to zip folder named as your board, not content of it, to make this simpler for receivers.)
You can upload it to Dropbox (you can use Get Shareable Link feature), Multiupload or similar file sharing services.
You can also send it directly to friend using MSN etc.
If you are sure everything on it is 100% legal, you can post it here and ask me to include it on 1st post. (I will upload it to my server if I accept it.)
Mikuz,
This is a great app...really like it.
You asked for suggestions, so here are a few:
Include the ability to pause or stop a sound by touching the sound a second time, instead of having to hit settings, then pause.
Include the ability to create a "stop all sounds" button.
Include the ability to have different images for each state of the sound (stopped or idle, playing, paused)
Include ability to set additional sound preferences per soundboard (like a preference to pause/play on corresponding clicks, or stop sound on second click)
Anyway, thanks again for this cool app...I really, really, really like that I can use it to play entire songs, and not just tiny files.
Welcome to xda-developers wagman67 as well as shatdat7 whose post count I forgot to check

Good suggestions, thanks.
I'm wondering if it would be better to select if you want to always play, pause or stop sound on second click per sound rather than per board.

I think you mean like a normal sound but it would stop/pause all playing sounds. Good idea.
Hi there, I was looking for an App like this a long time and now finally found yours meeting most of my need, so thanks a lot!
I played with it a little yesterday and came up with some ideas I would like to mention here in case it could be easily implemented.
First I was wondering if the already existing Dropbox-Implementation could be used for importing sound and images as well. Now I would put sounds into Dropbox, open Dropbox on Android, chose what I want dowloaded for the Soundboard, switch back to the Soundboard and then for each file click through to the Dropbox-Folder to add it... Using the internal Dropbox-connection this could be done much easier and faster... (Or am I missing something already there?)
Second about importing Images: I would like a button to automatically set the size to the original dimensions of the image instead of having to tap these in manually...
I was very happy to find, that I could switch to landscape, as I use a tablet that is not very nice to handle in portrait-mode... Really nice App
Ah, and are there any Soundboards shared by users yet?
Sorry it took some time to answer but I'm quite busy and probably won't develop until january. (Though you never know if I get excited enought about it.)
If you want to copy a file to a board using the current Dropbox implementation in the UnlimitedSb then you should: upload a board to the Dropbox, copy a file to the board's Dropbox folder and then download the board from the Dropbox.
The current implementation is ment to have a copy of a board in the Dropbox. Copying a file is possible but not handy.
Browsing the files in the Dropbox to copy a file to a board folder is an interesting idea. I don't use the official Dropbox app much but I think that it should be able to handle the same thing decently.
I will see what I can do when I have the time. I should also see if I can improve the Dropbox support at some point. I wasn't able to do everything I wanted since I was using an early version of the Dropbox client.
Nope, haven't heard of any publicly shared boards yet.
Good news soundboard enthusiastics, there's a huge udate coming!
I will rebrand this app since Android 4 will be required and the update will really impove this app and make it more useful.
It will take some time until it can be released. I feel like I should release it already since it's so much better than the current version but I really need to make the experience complete for a good new start.
You will notice when the new version is out if you take a look at the 1. post. Now let's all make sure we got some sandwitch prepared on our desks.
PS. If you figure out a good name for a soundboard app you can PM or email me. Just make sure it's something rather under 10 than 20

This is made easier in Boarder. You can put a sound to Apps/Boarder/<board name> directory in Dropbox and then download it using Dropbox implementation for Boarder.
In Unlimited Soundboards everything that doesn't exist in board directory in Dropbox would be removed in download operation. This is optional in Boarder and there will be dialog promoting the cleaning operation.

Not sure If you refer to the last value of dimensions or bitmap size as the original dimensions.
However, I changed the values above text fields to represent the original size of the bitmap. I added a button after the fields for reverting the size to what it was when the dialog was opened.
This change will be included in following releases of Boarder.

I'm planning to make it possible to choose hybrid mode (portrait and landscape). Hybrid board would react to changing the orientation of your device in listening mode.
Landscape and portrait would, however, be completely separated and only share the same board folder and listening session. This means both must be maintained by their own. There could be feature for copying sounds from orientation to other, making maintaining a bit easier.
This will not be included in a while and can be expected in Boarder after release in Android Play.
New version released.

WOW! I've been using TeamViewer to do this until now!
Thank you very much! Gonna try it as soon as I get home and post the results!
____________________________
Didn't get around to posting last night, but here's a quick review:
- in the ~15 minutes I played around with it, it behaved really well!
- I only once got disconnected (but that was probably the network's fault), but soon afterwards it reconnected normally
- I really like all the options present (congrats for including all the normal stuff we do with our video players ), but if I may, I have a suggestion: when going from one interface to the other, the user has to slide a finger on the screen... if he/she isn't careful, then upon sliding, the volume will get turned down instead of the new screen appearing. Also, the user has no way of knowing that there are other screens present... so, I would make use of the tabs interface present everywhere in Android (this would also sort the sliding thing).
Even better, I would merge the first two interfaces, maybe keep the slider for seeking and use a "volume increase" (that triangular thing made of bars) graphic for the... volume part , as well as make the play/pause a toggle rather than two buttons.
I hope this helps... thank you again for your work and once again: great stuff!

I agree with everything said above... ESPECIALLY how good this app is
I use BSPlayer for all Tv Shows and this comes in SO handy.
wonderful job!
I know I'm jumping way forward but it just occurred to me now that you could also use the same interface for different media players in the same app. all the user has to do is choose the media player he'd like to control and.. voila!
I'm willing to beta test of course.
Amazing! Thankyou! I alternate between BSPlayer and GOMPlayer, as I find GOMPlayer easier to control remotely, but this may cause me to switch
I particularly love how smooth browsing folders and files are (one point: I have a folder with 800 unsorted files in it, and this caused the server software to crash, which is no biggie really, considering the strain I put it under!)
I ditto the comments above, and will add that I did not find the second interface until I saw this post. Also, I cannot find out how to launch BSPlayer, and cannot launch files until I've opened BSPlayer (which means I can't dump the mouse just yet!).
Also, there's inconsistencies in how the Back button works, which means I sometimes end up exiting the app when actually I just want to go back to the first interface.
(also I do agree on merging the main interfaces, or finding additional functions to make two screens necessary).
But overall, and for a first release, THIS IS AMAZING!! THANKYOU
Thank you for all this feedback.
I will fix all bugs you noticed and redo design a little so it will be more user friendly and more obvious for new users.
New release coming soon =)

Can you describe a little more how you managed to crash server?
And does it happen always on that folder?
New version of application is available on market.
Hey, Few recommendations.
1. Increase the size of the playng title.
2. unify 2 of the screens - have the volume, seek bar, play, pause and stop on the same screen (it's just so much more intuitive) and keep the playlist on another.
3. add an option to control multiple hosts by searching the LAN for the server. there are many homes with more than one media playing computer.
4. add a feature to load the imdb page (mobile browser)/imdb page (imdb app) of the currently played (or in the playlist) movie/tv show.
I love this app.
Thank you.
oh oh, also, if you could add an option to change the aspect ratio.. it would be nice.
Thank you for recommendations.
1. will be done
2. Well basic idea for 2 separate screens was that most basic controls play/stop/pause and volume are separated from others just to make pressing buttons simple. So you don't mistakenly press something else.
3. In next version autodetect for server will be implemented and in case of multiple detected servers user can choose where to connect.
4. Do you know how to get full title of a movie out of a file name that is not always name of a movie?
5. Will be added in next release
getting the title should depend on the file name. if the user is accurate enough, his files would be named accordingly. there are usually general patterns to the name (e.g. moviename.year.release....)
moreover, you can let the user write the pattern in which his files are named..
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Hi, I did send this as a private message, but I thought I'd put it in the thread too:
First of all, I love it, I'm interested to see if it will edge out GRemote as my remote of choice. I think it will...
Some more UI things:
1) I love the file browsing interface - it's so smooth and clear, very nice!
2) I feel like the interface is missing a "Browse" button, otherwise you have to touch a hardware button, which feels more effort.
3) I'd also consider having the App open on the browse page, at least when it's opened for the first time.
4) I like the "quick remote" idea of the first screen, but I still miss having a Volume Remote on the second screen (alongside the progress bar)
5) When scrolling between screens it's quite easy to knock the progress bar
6) Thanks for improving the "Back" button but it still feels easy at time to exit the app, compared to how other apps work.
I've written this in a hurry so may send some more tomorrow or soon!
But again, it's becoming v good!
Also, you (gapipro) asked how I crashed the app with 800 files - I can't tell you now as I can't replicate it - as you fixed it! - but just to clarify, I crashed the app and not the server - I think it just froze or I force-closed it after a minute or something.
Anyway, BSRemote is now my official media remote!!
Potential ideas:
1) Have a "skip 10 seconds back/front" button
2) Pause playback on incoming phone-call
3) Have a very simple widget or two (for, e.g. Play/Pause), so I can have a control button directly on my homescreen!
4) If possible, screengrab a preview of the video, to display in the App.
5) As stated above, launch the App with the Browse menu, and have Browse as a soft-button on the interface.
6) Either have a very simple update process for the server (the best one to my mind is the one inside uTorrent) - and possibly have the updated .apks within the server, which can be pushed to the phone automatically - or even do the exact opposite, where you download the updated App from the market, and contained within it is the PC update, which then gets pushed to the PC. (Either way, it makes this a one-step update process and I hereby copyright this idea under the name "Updat-Ed" )
Much love!!

Much love!!

Thanks for another response
A lot of your ideas are very interesting and they will be implemented in next few releases.
Don't know if you have noticed but 10s front/back can be made by pressing + or - buttons under seek bar. And you can even change "length" of skip by pressing seek button (the clock like icon).
About that problem with switching panel. Do you swipe your finger to switch or you use that left and right hidden buttons?
New version 1.2.1 is available for download from market.
Change log (1.2.1):
- server autodetection
- support for aspect ratio
- buttons for next and previous item in playlist
- optimized usage of battery
- fixed few bugs and other stuff
Thanks for the newest update! Checking now... To answer your question, I'm swiping my finger, not the hidden buttons.
Another quick release 1.2.2 that fixes few bugs. =)
@smeddy: Yes swiping finger can be hard on 2nd panel thats why those buttons were made so you can switch panel without hitting anything. Or you can even use trackball if you have it.
New release 1.2.3 that fixed connection bug.
I know I'm jumping way forward but it just occurred to me now that you could also use the same interface for different media players in the same app. all the user has to do is choose the media player he'd like to control and.. voila!

1. Increase the size of the playng title.

getting the title should depend on the file name. if the user is accurate enough, his files would be named accordingly. there are usually general patterns to the name (e.g. moviename.year.release....)
moreover, you can let the user write the pattern in which his files are named..

gapipro... was just wondering if the mentioned above is still taken under consideration
especially the multiple media players part.
Btw, I didn't really notice if the font of the playing title was increased..
Again, thank you so much for the wonderful work.
nir36: The best program to do what you want is GRemote. I'm a big fan of it, although BSRemote has now eclipsed it for my needs, and I've switched to using BSPlayer from other players such as GOMPlayer/VLC/WMP/XBMC etc. on my PC.

GRemote is too complicated and too graphical in my opinion. It's also not straightforward. You have many options which are just not necessary for me. bsremote is absolutely perfect when it comes to a media player remote... especially considering that BSPlayer is such a popular one.
thx tho.
Flip4Silence 2.0 BETA
Silence notifications when your phone is flipped - battery friendly!
Flip4Silence is back! It's just an BETA version but it already serves its purpose: Silence notifications when the phone lays upside down on the table! And the best thing about this, it doesn't eat up your battery (like other tools do)!
I just finished the BETA and I'm currently testing it. But as I think it could be useful to someone in this state I just made it public. Please be so kind and keep in mind that this is not the final and probably will not act as reliable as it should. I will do my best to fix any bugs which are found, so please report your problems back.
If you are a ROM chief or have a custom ROM installed:
I have planned to migrate this tool to a "one for all" tone silencer. Unfortunately this requires a patch (which is attached to this post) to allow the user to set the tones as the system defaults. The patch is also posted on the AOSP gerrit and may be accepted (don't know if they like the patch) and I will try to integrate it into CM9.
If you are a ROM chief and would like to integrate the patch and the (upcoming) tool feel free to contact me via pm.
If you are a user of a custom ROM feel free to encourage your ROM chief to integrate the patch.
Feel free to contact me if you have integrated the patch somewhere, especially if it's a ROM for the Galaxy Nexus or Nexus One as I would like to use it on my own phones
Attention:
If you had a previous version installed I'm very sorry to tell you that you have to REASSIGN every single ringtone you have selected with F4S Ultimate before again due to a internal incompatible change!
What it gives you:
Silence nearly every notification!
Is planned to be a full replacement for every ringtone picker (please tell me what you want from your ringtone picker)
It's nice to your battery as it's only active when something happens and not all the time.
More control over the sensitivity used (no more "low", "high", "normal", you are in charge now!).
MP3 ringtones are now supported! The UI is not really finished, it's at least planned to add the album covers to the list.
"Silence when user is present" - never get a notification sound again when you are playing with your device and don't need a audio notification.
What it can't do:
You can't use it to put silenced ringtones into the default settings. Please never ever put a silenced ringtone into your phone ringer or the default notification sound. It will just not work (and will never), trust me. However, you can put in a "unsilenced" ringtone (more later).
Currently the sensors will report strange results if you have vibration on while a ringtone is played. It lacks a good filtering, so it's not really usable currently.
How to use it?
It has currently no settings dialog at all, it is just a alternative to pick a ringtone. When you select somewhere a "Choose a ringtone now" button it will be an option which you can launch.
When you select your tones with the tool it will more or less look like the standard ringtone picker with some exceptions. On the bottom you will see a list with all ringtones you may pick from. When you select them, they will be played as a preview to you (just like the stock ringtone picker does). When you have found your ringtone just hit the tick button at the top bar and you are done. It will now silence this (and only this) notification when the phone lays on its display. When you want to discard your selection just hit the cross on the top, the back button of your phone or the home button, it's your choice.
The really interesting thing is the speaker icon at the top bar. It works the following way:
When you see the muted speaker (speaker with X) the ringtone will be silenced when you hit the tick button (sure, it will only be muted when the phone lays upside down). But sometimes you want a sound so be played everytime and not only when the phone lays with its back on the table. Then you can press the speaker at the top and it will switch over to a unmuted speaker. When you now hit the tick the selected tone will never be muted by the tool.
You can now start over and replace every notification sound with a one selected via this tool. Just pick a tone and hit the tick at the bar and you are done.
I'm currently using gingerbread and was able to replace the tones in the following applications:
Stock SMS/MMS
gTalk
Google+
Facebook
Flip4Silence
How does this sensitivity slider work?
It allows you to set the exact degree when Flip4Silence should recognize the phone as "lays on its screen". The range is from 0 (lays exactly on its screen) to 90 degree (stands on its bottom).
You can change the value with the slider or with the plus and minus button to a value which should fit your need (it lacks a testing mode, sorry :/).
The green part of the slice on the left is a visualization of the "snap area" where Flip4Silence will recognize the phone should be silent. You can transfer it to the real world when you put your phone with its bottom on the table which would be 90 degree. When you now tilt it slowly down to it's screen it would be 0. So you have actually moved it on 90 degrees of a circle which is what the image tried to tell you.
The settings are now this way because people reported that LOW and HIGH weren't enough to trigger it the way they wanted it. The dialog still lacks a "choose from presets" option but this will hopefully be added in the future.
As a hint here are the settings known from F4S 1.0 (which will suit the most people)
High: 20 degree
Normal: 25 degree
Low: 30 degree
So you say it's now save to use it to pick global ringtones?
Yes, in general it is. The picker maintains now a blacklist for Activities which aren't able to handle the special ringtones we return. This blacklist currently only has the stock settings blacklisted so it should work for most devices. But HTC/Motorola/Samsung may have changed ROMs in a way that they also changed the identifier for the SystemSettings. In this cases the blacklist will not work until I have added them
So as it's more or less save, here is the warning again:
Please note the fact that you should never ever use a "silenced" ringtone for the ringer or the default notification sound. The new BETA tries to prevent you from doing so (the little speaker on the top is not drawn) but it may fail! If you see a speaker in your Default Notification/Ringtone picker than please hit the "Report usage" button in Flip4Silence ultimate so I can add it to the blacklist.
What does this "Report usage" button do again?
As stated above it will send a report to me about the places where you have used Flip4Silence Ultimate to select a ringtone. Please only send the manual report if you have found out that your System Settings is not blocked from setting a silenced ringtone (as described above). Please also leave a short note here that you have send a report. Reports contain the same data as crashreports, so nothing is really special about them.
"Silence when user is present" does what?
Did it ever annoyed you to hear notifications when you got your device in your hand? Did you ever thought "Damn, shut up! I have seen the notification, no need to play a sound...".
If yes, then I have a solution for you: "Silence when user is present" does simply what is says, it blocks the notification sound when you are currently fiddling with your device and don't need another acoustic notification about a new message or anything else.
Of course it only works with sound which were set with this app and currently the switch is on a global base (will likely change in an upcoming version).
Okay, sounds good so far, where can I get it?
I will attach the newest version and the previous one to this post whenever an update occures. You can also download it on the Android Market
Why is this nifty app not translated into [INSERT LANGUAGE HERE]?
I will contribute at least a German translation once the strings in the program have settled down (one or two releases before the first stable will be released). If your favorite language is missing and you are willing to translate it by yourself please contact me and I will hand the localization files when the app has reached the pre stable state.
The icons used are nice, but the application icon is damn ugly dude!
Yea, I know. I had to make some of my own when I developed Flip4Silence so the quality is far from good. While I like the overall theme (the phone and the sleep indication) it's not really pretty as I'm more the coding guy than a designer. If you are a designer or know someone who would like to make some icons for this app it would be awesome if you would contact me. I can't provide any money for this as it's only a fun project but it would be worth a credits entry and publicity (it depends, but I expect a broad usage around the globe, just like the original Flip4Silence ).
Uh, who has done this cute icons you are using?
The icons used in the main view of the ringtone picker are from AndroidIcons.com. Thanks guys for this great set of free icons!

Do U think it is possible to also disable vibration on incomming calls? It was working on Gingerbread but not longer on ICS (at least for me)

Flip4Silence classic doesn't work correctly on ICS? Didn't knew that, sure I will try to fix this in this rewrite (the old app will not receive any update, everything will be reimplemented).
I will give it a try when I move the old code to the new codebase but I can't promise anything as I don't know whats broken and so don't know how it may be fixed.
But thanks for the report =)
OMG!
Just installed older version from market. I know why it wasn't working..."Keep vibrating" was still enabled.
Sorry...my fault.

I just release BETA3. As nobody reads the main post again, please note the following:
You generally don't have to take special care about the System Settings default sound picker as it's now blacklisted as it not supports F4S Ultimate. Consult the main post for more info about this. But If the little speaker at the top is shown for you in the default settings please hit the "Report usage" button and send me some info about your phone (again, more info is hidden in the main post ).
If you had a previous version installed I'm very sorry to tell you that you have to REASSIGN every single ringtone you have selected with F4S Ultimate before again due to a internal incompatible change!
Also I would like to say "Thank you!" to everybody who is currently testing/using this! I have not thought that so many people would try it! Thank you very much!

Why the BETA sign? What's not stable yet? And when do you plan to release a non-beta version?

It has the beta sign because it's rather untested and it's a very fragile kind of app as it operates at the border (or some steps beyond) of the android system.
I does things which were never intended by the developers, also I'm developing this thing alone. The beta sign will be removed when it's proven that it operates on virtually any phone from android 1.6 to 4.0 and includes all the features the original Flip4Silence has.
Currently everything is working as intended besides a bug I have just found (which is documented in the second post). A "stable" (I only release software which is at least usable for me) without the beta sign will come when I have done all the work. I can't tell you a date as this is not my job but I will do my best to release as often as I can.
BETA4 is out now!
BETA4 is out now!
It introduces a new feature: "Silence when user is present", please take a look at the first and second post for the changes in detail.
Besides that I had to wipe the caller database once again as the format changed again, so you have to reassign anything again (should be the last time, the format should be stable now...).
A sidenote:
I have not received any crash so far and it seems to work pretty good so I consider it now "stable enough for everyday use".
Thanks for this app, sounds good downloading now....

It's a ringtonepicker replacement, to use the app you have to reassign the notification tones of the apps you want to be silenced on a flip. Your system will present you a list of apps which are suitable for ringtone picking, just select Flip4Silence there.
"Silence when user is present" - never get a notification sound again when you are playing with your device and don't need a audio notification.
Man I have been looking for this feature since day 1 of owning a Android Phone! I'll help you test the app!
Edit: I goto settings>Sound>Ringtone phone> choose flip4silence>Local Media
Crashes every time

It's a problem in (at least) the artist list, I will fix it soon. Stay tuned for an update and thanks for testing =)
Crappy video I made showing how I made it crash: http://youtu.be/R_4v-AKSjM4 (done in about half an hour)
I also provided a logcat with warnings, errors and fatal exceptions. Don't worry about the rmt_storage lines though, that has something to do with the beta ROM I'm using.

Now that's cool, I have never seen a bug report video before . It should be easy to fix this, but I have one question:
How many MP3s do you have on your device (I don't need an exact number, just a rough estimation, something like "60 albums" or something like that)?
13 normal albums, 1 album of Super Smash Bros (which has about 200+ songs ) and one "album" I made myself for my ringtones.

Review:
Phone Arena Short Review
thanks in particular @CedArctic for his awesome review
Please consider this is a Beta and my first app, bugs could occurs
Suggestions and bugs report are very very welcome !
Enjoy !
Screenshot Attached:
more screenshots in play store link (screens are a bit outdated, in current application you can find more material design )
Positives: Really nice app for the first beta, I like the option to customise the Action Bar colour (and yes it's called action bar not title bar) and it's very fast and smooth, and it has a few nice features.
Negatives: At the moment is very unstable and crashes a lot as you leave the app, the app isn't translated to English properly (few phrases missing) and on an HDPI device colours for the action bar are cut off on the right side (I've attached a screenshot), maybe you can make it scrollable.
Keep up the good work! :good:
Would be cool if you make your strings public so that the community can translate your app to other languages. Another thing is that I'm using Viper4Android equalizer and your app just creates a toast which says that I should restart my phone whenever I try to open equalizer settings.
NICE!
Great idea..
i like the UI
feature request
-swipe to change tracks.
-english translation
-ability too search all.. you wont need to go to the artist section to search for artist.. like that..
bugs
-there are some songs/artist/albums that is not appearing when searched.
-some tracks doesnt appear on the artist/abum
-it crashes too
overall good app
keep it up
sorry for my english not my first language
Thanks to all of you for trying my app, your feedback and report are really helpfull
At this stage it's clear it is too soon for a public release, but i would really appreciate if someone wants to help me testing the app so i can discover and fix bugs as soon as possible (when the app crash i receive logcat on my mail).

Thanks for feedback!!
I'm noticing that the equalizer behaves in a strange way, this is caused by a lot of different equalizer (stock, viper4android, CyanogenMod, xposed framework, ...), implemented in custom ROMs, I'm trying to solve this problem (some bugs were fixed in 1.0. 7, try it)
hope we can browse songs by folder.
nice man! downloading now.
Sugestions if you want to make this the N°1 Android Player
- YouTube search and play video
Including playlist support
screen off/other aplication playback ( I Use "Freddi yt player" for this)
Pin videos (or audio download) for offline use
- Buit in Album art downloader and mp3 tag editor (I use mp3dit for this)
- Lyrics grabber (I used to use "lyrics" for this (stopped working))
Just play a music and with one click see the lyric
Sync All option for offline use
Button on the app and also on notifications for lyrics.
So,here we have 3 difference apps that could be just one,(also some new features for them) plus the stock music player
And would be "revolutionary" for non advanced users
Congrats for theming, also good musical taste

I downloaded your app today. It is very nice, with a cool interface. I liked it very much and will start to use it to see if I can spot some bugs.
I have a request. My phone is a Samsung with stock rom. I would like the app to have a lockscreen widget to control music, such as the one seen in one of your screenies. It is possible?
EDIT: by some random reason, the widget appeared.
The app keeps appearing in notification bar, even when it's inactive and don't playing music. Is there a way to get rid of this?
One sugestion:
Make a tab to see the music by the folders. The rocket player have this feature and it's only because of this that i use it. Seriously dude, add a tab of folders where we can see our music by folders and i will start using your app.
Songs are displayed alphabetically instead of by their track order. That's a major negative for me.
Feature request - smart shuffle = all songs until entire catalog is played, not the "random" shuffle nearly all players have, that cycles through the same songs over and over. The only player I've found that approaches this is just playlists. The shuffle Gods have long ago given up on us..
Sent from my LG-V510 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Looks promising, will definitely check it out. A couple of ideas or suggestions:
Does the player currently (or will it in the future) have the option to pull music from folders on cloud storage instead of on the device itself? It would free up a ton of storage space on our phones, for those that don't have much room for our massive playlists.
Also, is the album art downloaded and kept "post-song" in a file of some sort? If so, can the ability to enable or disable the album art download be added once the album art function is added in to the player? Again, just thinking of saving limited space 8)
EDIT: Also a big fan of suggestions of others! Swyping to skip forward or backward would be real nice feature, as well as the option of adding the lyrics to the app main page. An option for dark (Holo dark?) would be a nice touch as well.
great simple interface
Loved simple interface. And loved the feat "hide small audio files "... notification sounds wont play . Great idea
One suggestion after using player for 10 mins.
Can we add indivisual songs to the queu rather than the whole list of songs is played when a song is selected from the "songs" tab. In my view user wouldnt want to play all songs at any given time, rather music depends on time or affect and .. so many artist or album have songs we want to listen to a particular time.
Great for a Beta!
Suggestion: Add tab to browse music through folders and continuous gap-less playback would be great.
Cheers
Man you've already made me regeert buying another music player on Google past just a week ago! The interface is great, it has play next which a lot of apps don't have, you have a 3x 3 album grid which I find way better than both a 2 picture wide grid and a list. Also, you seem to be the only one that understands that text may be larger /longer than you screen permits, and you make the text scroll which I've asked developers of every music app I've tried to implement and the way the queue slides out is quite nice. Maybe a mini tutorial on the slide out menu would make it a bit more obvious that you can do that for less experienced users. I like how solid Explorer does that: just one picture with an arrow showing where you can slide.
I've got 1 small request though:
a dark theme, I use an amoled screen so that would save energy for me
Keep up the amazing work!
INTRODUCING SwiftOpen
To speed lovers: this is the app you thought didn't exist but always wanted.
SwiftOpen is a launcher (not a home launcher) that allows you to launch apps, shortcuts, contacts, calls... very, very fast.
Not only is it fast at launching whatever you want, but its interface also allows you to choose it quickly, without even looking at the phone. And this applies to as many shortcuts as you wish.
It is also lightweight and battery friendly!

TRANSLATIONS:
I can provide native translations for Spanish and Catalan. If anyone wanted to contribute translating the app to any other language it would be very helpful. If so, please pm me or send me an email. Thanks!
Features:
Very fast launching
App launching
System toggles such as torch, wifi, autorotate...
Did I say fast?
Shortcut launching
Recent apps and calls
Guided setup
Folders that allow even more shortcuts
Multiple detectors
Multiple actions per detector
Custom icons for folders
Icon pack support
Alt-tab to switch to the previous app
Tablet (and phablet) mode
Intuitive settings
Battery friendly
Plenty of customization
I have already incorporated many features suggested by xda members. Any suggestion is welcome, and if I have time and I find it appropriate, I'll add it!
LAUNCHING IN PREVIOUS STATE:
Since v0.8.3 SwiftOpen launches apps in their previous state instead of restarting. Some apps behave different than expected, and need to be treated in a different manner so that they are resumed instead of restarted (like Whatsapp and gReader). I have a white list of these apps, so if you find an app that is restarted tell me and I'll try to verify that they'll be resumed if treated differently, to add them to the whitelist.
SOME PHONES:
The app does not work on some Huawei phones because of the rom -apps with floating windows don't work there. At least with those that I've tested. If someone has a Huawei phone with stock rom and it works, please tell me.
It does not work with some Xiaomi Redmi either. If someone has a Xiaomi phone and finds that the app works with the stock rom, please also tell me.
It is not because of the code in the app, but the rom those phones have...
VERSIONS:
v0.4 and v0.5 have not been optimized for Lollipop.
From v0.5.1 and up it is optimized for Lollipop.
In v0.6 the signature and the package name have changed (among other stuff) which means you'll have to configure it again, as it won't install on the previous version but in parallel. I'm sorry about this. The apk is also larger, because of the icons and all the changes in the project structure; it'll improve in next versions, I hope.
0.6.2 uses more ram than it should, and there are a few other issues.
ANDROID ISSUES:
If you go to the home launcher and then launch an app, it won't be launched until about 5 seconds after going home. It's how Google wants it to be, and I'll try a workaround in the future but I'm not sure if it'll work. Nevertheless, the point of this app is not needing to go to the home launcher
BETA:
This app is currently in beta. All your feedback will be more than welcome.
And you can also suggest new features...
If the app crashes it asks you to send me an email, with the Logs. You can see what is being send, so don't worry about your privacy, it is safe!
OPEN SOURCE:
Now I have to fix some bugs, add a bit of functionality, and clean up the code. Whenever this is done (in a few weeks, I hope) the app will be open source.
MATERIAL DESIGN:
I am also working on bringing material design to the app.
Nevertheless the priority is bug-fixing and functionality.

Great job
I'll keep an eye to see how it evolves. By now it looks promising.
It would be great to include the ability to add widgets as well.
Yes, it's planned. I will add the features I have planned so that you know them. But that's after bug fixing, when the app is open source. So it'll take a while yet. At least a month.
Awesome! (some feedback)
I've been looking for something like this for so long. I simply love shortcuts. I've been trying it for a day now and here is my feedback (and some suggestions):
- Settings don't apply inmediately. You have to turn off and close the app and then restart it for them to work. (It would be awesome to see real-time changes (i don't know how difficult that is), for example, for the vertical position of the border detection).
- The alt+tab function is simply genius, i use it more times than i expected. Keep that up.
- Rows and columns could be editable for each table. For example, i got a "Contacts table" (where a folder in my main page redirects to) where i'd like 6 contacts but i want 4x3 icons in my "Main table". So that would be a cool feature too.
- The permanent icon: I don't know it's purpose. If it's only to close the app, maybe an in-app long press button or something will do better and be less invasive for the drawer?
That's all for now, i will edit, if you want, with more feedback on the next days. :good:

Thank you very much for your feedback. About settings, I know that and its in the bug list to be fixed.
Rows and columns editable for each table is also into consideration. Nevertheless I don't think it is intuitive because the cells would not be in the same position.
And if the permanent icon means the notification, it is because to ensure that the app is not killed by the system, it is required to have a permanent notification.
If you give me more feedback it will be highly appreciated
Here's some more
Here are two more things i noticed:
- The border detector sometimes gets graphically buggy and it shows a big rectangle where the thin line should be. I assume it's the detector losing its transparency. I have a Nexus 4 running cm11 M10 (maybe it's only my problem)
- And second, sometimes when you accidentally fast click the border, it opens youtube (in my case the top central shortcut) instead of the one that belongs to the very edge of my screen (which i have empty to prevent this cases in particular, though it seems not to work)
I leave a screenshot with my config also.
About the big rectangle in my phone it happens very very rarely. But I'll fix it as soon as I discover what causes it.
And about launching YouTube, I'll look into it. Nevertheless it shouldn't be necessary to leave that cell empty if you use the "distance to drag necessary..." preference. I know the name is not intuitive but it prevents the detector from opening the launcher when the drag is very short (taps).
Thanks!

Nice work
Awesome app, I'd love to see it fully perfected!
Here's my feedback:
1. When the launcher is activated when in SwiftOpen Settings, the activity stack is all messed up, (especially if you go into creating a new table and opening the launcher while configuring it). While pressing back, the same activities come repeatedly and I have to press back a lot of times to exit the settings. Not a big issue, but a rough edge to be polished. I think it can be solved by providing a separate task stack for the launcher activity alone, by specifying a
Code:
android:taskAffinity
for the launcher activity in the manifest file.
2. Android limitation of launching an activity from a service only after at least 5 sec, is unfortunate. I was riddled with the same problem, however to overcome that, I replaced the activity and made the entire thing "draw over other apps". I am not sure whether it'll work properly in this case, but worth a try anyway.
I'll come back soon for the updates.
Edit: I guess point 2 is in place, since I don't see the delay anymore.
I noticed the stack issue and forgot to write it down, so haven't tried to fix it. I'll try as soon as possible. Thanks for the feedback!

The "Distance of drag necessary..." works just perfectly fine!
I also noticed the stacking-back problem but i thought it was only me...
Keep up the awesome job!
Edit: Trying out the new v0.3 and noticed one thing, it's hard to explain so i'll try my best.
When you swipe away the apps from the "recent menu" (i dont know how to call it, it's the bottom right soft button on a Nexus4) and you leave it completely empty, using the Alt+tab function closes the app everytime.
It may be silly but that's a bug i think (although not very critical )

Thanks! I hadn't noticed that. I'll try to fix it as soon as possible! It's not a typical scenario, though
Liking it very much so far. Looking forward to new updates!

Thanks for telling me about the name. When I looked for it it didn't appear (or I didn't see it). Nevertheless I'll put Swift open - Launcher or something like this, in the play store.
About drag and drop, it's in the long lost of to-dos but not a priority. First I have to fix some bugs. Thanks!

Folder suggestion
Great App! Please consider allowing custom icon for each folder.
