Shadowgun full working w/ Sixaxis Controller - Android Apps and Games

I got everything working and all keys mapped, sorry for the video quality but I was only using one hand. I didn't have my tripod.

link to Shadowgun https://market.android.com/details?id=com.madfingergames.shadowgun
both are AWESOME
Here are the key mapping:
7-Reload
D-Pad Center-Fire
D-Pad Up, Left, Down, Right-Analog 1
A-Shotgun
D-SMG
I-Analog 2 Up
J-Analog 2 Left
K-Analog 2 Down
L-Analog 2 Right
S-4th Weapon
W-Grenade Launcher
Back-Pause Game
Hope that helps and makes sense...these need to be mapped in the Sixaxis Controller app, make sure Bypass IME is selected for these to work properly

Perfect! I was looking for an excuse to buy this game.

I had shadowgun and ordered a sixaxis controller to play it. I'm a little confused as far as how to map the controls. I got the controller paired to my tablet.
Where do I map those keys? I opened the sixaxis controller android app and went to "input mappings".
The next screen has something that says 1st controller mappings, 2nd controller mappings. etc...
Under those menus it looks like I can assign certain key presses to the sixaxis buttons and joysticks, but I don't know where I'm supposed to enter your mappings below.
Sorry....haven't used this program before.

Never mind...figured it out.
One other question though.
How did you figure out which key mapping did what in Shadowgun?
I want to set something up like this for 9mm.

yea, but only via usb

hello,
i was curious if you figured this out yourself,
or if you copied this post, http://forums.androidcentral.com/sp...oller-setup-shadowgun-photon-tested-only.html
I see it was posted first, and your thread seems like a modded copy/paste, especially the "4th weapon",
BTW its a rocket launcher
I just like to see credit given, where credit is due,
but, if you figured it all out all by yourself, CONGRATS!
PS
"make sure Bypass IME is selected for these to work properly "
I didnt have to do that
pps
any other games been figured out?
im working with Cordy, just one button to go, but I havent really been one it, stuck with Shadowgun for a week now!

added a plus 1 for last post,
and will add another after op is modded
so, wait, 9mm has joystick possibilities?
i deleted it cause the game is like 5 minutes long!
I was under the impression, after talking to Gameloft, that NONE of there games have joystick control abilities
imagine NOVA2, rainbow 6, ect with a ps3 controller

Guitar Hero Mobile :(

Looks great:

but it appears to be not compatible with the TC:

I'm guessing that's because of the few hardware buttons that the device has? Anyone tried it to see what happens?
Thanks!

It plays just fine on my Cruise. Just select the TyTn II when installing.
On the TC, you use the left-right-up on the d-pad.
Great game! I've finished it already but it's cool to play over and over.
The game only let's you store the last two songs you played.
In order to overcome this limitation, once you downloaded and played two songs, exit the game and use your desktop PC or a program like Resco File Explorer to change the file attributes of the song (sng_) files to read only so the program don't wipe them up. Do the same for the next two songs, etc.
Cheers!

Wow. incredible, they even did it for mobiles. Where do we get the demo?
There's no demo for GH3... You need to purchase it. Well worth it.

anyone got a torrent? Free?
It's not free but it's great fun...i've completed it in export level Not as hard as the Xbox version of course since you can't pres 2 buttons at the same time on the phone, they won't require you to so it's much easier.
Only problem with this game on the TC is because you have to use the D-wheel to play, you get thumb cramps because the L/R/U buttons are so close together and the wheel is small so if you hava big hands, well, its a challenge...
Also, because the TC has the scroll wheel feature, you tend to accidentallly scroll when trying to press the D-button...this causes a Miss in the game...happens ALOT...of course you can disable the wheel from the registry
GH3
Crap! Id love to play this game but im a pretty firm believer in try it before you buy it. Why wouldnt they give you a short sample period?

Actually this has nothing to do with any bugs in the Sixaxis app or otherwise. All of the *oid emulators require that you enable Settings->Other Settings->Use Input Method.
Alternatively you can try the new 'Bypass IME' setting under preferences, which will allow you to still use a soft keyboard while the app is running.

Splashtop

Hey guys. I just downloaded Splashtop and am pretty excited about the possibilities this thing potentially creates with the Xperia Play.
First of all: can anyone point me to a guide that will tell me exactly how/which ports to forward in order for me to access my desktop from a network other than my home WiFi one?
Second: is there any way to program the Xperia Play's buttons into something like Xpadder? Splashtop will run anything that supports a windowed mode, so if I could get the controls mapped, I could play my ICEnahnced GTAIV on my freakin' cell phone. Anyone know if this is possible?
Any other applications for the Splashtop app you'd like to share? Thanks for the input guys.
i am interested to.

EDIT: oh there's a solution for the local wi fi thing...hmmm
I was checking it out on the market, reading up on it....and was literally about to buy it---- until I saw that it only works on local wi fi?
That gives me pause....I don't know if it's truly worth a **** if thats true...
Do you think they're going to enable non-local wi fi or 3g in the future?
---------- Post added at 01:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:01 PM ----------
Okay, I bought it off the market and have it loaded up...
And I have no freaking clue where to start. What types of games work well with this type of "remote-gaming" setup? Do the Xperia buttons work? Dpad? Analog?
Should I get a ps2 emulator? that seems like a really fun test but is it too much? Should I stick to browser games and old PC games?
You can bypass the local wi-fi thing with port forwarding. The problem is using the Play's hardware controls on this thing. I can map the directional buttons to a gamepad's analog stick with Xpadder, but none of the other buttons will register. And circle is the same as "back" so it just exits the Splashtop app. Hmm.
I wonder if this is doable at all. I can get Crysis 2 to load up, and look around with the touchscreen. It looks honestly quite smooth - you just can't do **** except look around haha. Such a tease.
that looks VERY good, hit me up with a pm if u get it working and i'll download it, would LOVE to get a bitta gta going on the phone. gta 3/vice city ftw

[Touch Profiles] Sixaxis Controller Profiles for Infinity (More coming)

Welcome to my Sixaxis Profile thread. I will be making them for every game I own if its useful for the type of game. If you have any requests please let me know and I will bump those to the top of the list. I will keep this up to date with each new game that I get. I usually pick up all the big titles but If you know of a game that is super awesome that needs a profile and I don't have it I may just go download it so let me know!
I will clean this up a little later when I have more time to format. And type out the controls, add screenshots in case you want to edit the profiles etc. But for now the important stuff, the profiles!
To use these profiles you must be rooted and have the Sixaxis Controller app.
Instructions:
Place the downloaded .map file in \sdcard\data\com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller\profile and then load profile after pairing your controller.

I have a few games that I can make profiles for or you can make them on request. Gun Bros, SAS3, SG: Deadzone, six guns, Dead Trigger,Death dome, and Eternal Warriors 2.
Six guns, Deadzone and Dead Trigger please.
Here is a map for Metal Slug 3. The joystick needs to be placed weird to get it working correctly, otherwise I wouldn't bother posting it. With it placed this way you get full range of motion. Enjoy!

Hey guys sorry for the delay in responding, I was camping in the mountains. I will get the TinTin, Six Guns, Eternal Warriors and Gun Bros profiles up tonight. I will have to check out Death Dome. Is there a specific reason you guys want a profile made for Dead Trigger? That game supports the native controller, I can still make one if you want just wondering. And thank you I_EAT_BABIES for the Metal Slug 3 profile, I will add it to the OP and credit you. If anyone else has anything already made that they would like to share let me know and I can add it to the OP.
Do you need to be rooted to use the touch profiles?

Dead Trigger has native controller support! After connecting your controller, go to Dead Trigger settings and you'll see "customize gamepad".
You'll see a list of controls on the left side, and an empty list on the right side. Tap one of the things on the right side and press a button on the controller to assign to it.

Since native bluetooth support is back you shouldn't even need to pair with your PC. Just plug the controller in to the dock then pair to bluetooth (This will give you the correct MAC on your controller). Once you are paired go into the Sixaxis Controller app and plug back into the tablet. Click pair and put in the Bluetooth address from the bottom left and you should be good to go!!
Edit: Missed your edit! This is good info anyways in case anyone is ever on the go without a PC

Wired Xbox 360 controller won't work with my Tab 2 10.1

I am trying to connect a wired Xbox 360 controller to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet (running Samsung's stock Android 4.1.1 ROM) via. an OTG adapter.
When I connect it, the following two messages appear:
"High-power USB device connected."
"Can not access to this device. "Connected device needs power supply."
Due to this, USB/BT Joystick Centre can't detect the controller.
Due to the poor English in the second message, I am presuming it's a Samsung ROM issue, rather than an Android/a tablet hardware issue.
Any ideas?
I have same problem with my tab 2 7.0

Yeah i had the same problem on my tablet which is rooted.
But it works perfectly on my sons which is not rooted.
I read somewhere that it had issues if luckypatcher was installed.
but never looked into it anymore as i use a ps3 pad via sixaxis controller app, which allows me to have the tablet on charge while playing.
My Tab had version 6.41 (cracked)
and my sons had 6.44 (paid for)
not sure if the issue is related to the version number or the fact my sons is not rooted and never had luckypatcher on it.
Either way, if your rooted and can get hold of a ps3 pad that is the best way imo.
Other than that make sure you have switched the IME to joypad before opening the emulator and then go to input settings and bind the controllers.
i have got epsxe, mupen, snesgnes all working with both apps, but on different tablets (1 rooted, 1 not)
hope this info helps you figure it out.

I have everything all hooked up, but when I go to my Octopus app, it tells me there is no device conected and all my xbox 360 controller does is flash green for a while then it will light up player 1 and when I move the sticks on it, it goes back to flashing green. I tried to use a Xbox One controller, the octopus app days there's a xbox one controller hooked to my phone, but when I go to use it, it just makes stuff happen on my xbox one system. PLEASE HELP! I probably wont be getting on this much so if you can just text my number at 606 280 6727

There's 1. Some ROM side changes needed (you could check old cm-11.0 source, if I remember right they had it in)
And 2. Some kernel changes needed which means you need to compile your own kernel ( https://github.com/kumajaya/android...mmit/3e18d344759a71d937163930198a4bab1630784e )
Good luck!

You could try saving it in
system/usr/keylayout/Vendor_045e_Product_0719.kl
Make sure giving it proper rights.
Latest Custom ROMs by me have Xpad support enabled by default in it's kernel.
