I'm using the gs+ and I've been using apps2sd app to move apps to SD card, I've just realised that its moving apps to my internal SD and not the 16gb external SD, anyway to move em to the external SD?
Cheers :0)

Do you have to load the maps onto internal memory or will it work on SD card? On my tablet for some reason it would work only loaded onto internal memory and not SD card. Lot of data for whole USA map.
SD card for me.
I have working copilot with some usa maps with the data on the internal sd card. Won't find it on the external sd card.

Yes this is what I was afraid of and is also what happens with my transformer. Wonder why the software will not access the external cards?
I've got an external sd card with fourteen gigabytes free but cannot make apps install to it.
Is there a way on stock rooted uk gb rom to do so as if not I can't install any more apps. Seems kind of stupid of lg to not allow it so any help appreciated.

the app is the one that needs to be programed to be moved to Sdcard not the from or lg.
Many apps can be moved most of them which kinda apps You referring to that can't be moved?

I think you misunderstood me. I can move apps to sd no problem, the problem I'm having is lg sends apps to internal sd not the actual external sd card. As a result my actual sd card doesn't get used as it should for apps.

Thanks i'll give it a try. thanks again
I am using the Tsunami X ROM and created a custom flashable boot.img that does this at boot time with no scripting. It can be flashed from recovery, but it is only for this ROM. If you could not solve your problem with the script and you switch over to TsunamiX I can give you the ZIP that will do the trick
Is there an app in the market that I can install that will give me more space on my SD card. Thanks in advance. Happy new year everyone!!!

Like erasing old app data and such? Htc has a built it one for that.
But also since Android is basically Linux, it should support compressed filesystem. If the kernel has it, perhaps there is a way to mount the sdcard in a special manner that will allow auto compression. But that is likelly to cause some performance issues...
I do not fully understand the scenario. Could you please provide some more details?

do you mean to transfer apps in internal memory?
if yes then you can do it from settings>manage applications(or something like that)
but if you mean to transfer data then use any file manager ,go to settings and check the option for mount internal memory as writable
(personally i am using es file explorer)
I was meaning transfer zip files, apps, etc from my sd card to another app to free up space on my SD card.Does anyone know of a app in the market that I could use to transfer zips, apps, etc to for I can free up some space on my SD card. Thanks

You can transfer your data to your computer to store it and free up space, but as for an application, I'm not aware of one that will free SD card space. Best wishes
Just want to ask, is there a way I can install games on the SD card? it happens that my internal memory is not enough to install the game (NOVA3) or it's possible to install the game on internal but the data on the SD card?
Thanks in advance!
