Shadowgun - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

I can confirm that Shadowgun works with Chainfire on the Xperia Play, gamepad also works! Unfortunately, the only functional buttons are the d-pad and the square and cross buttons, so you'll have to use the touchscreen to look around and switch weapons.

how smooth is it?

interesting, i used the CF patch, and the game says: "Not supported device [Exit]"

for me it crashes....

it will only go through the opening movie then crashes, what settings are you using so the rest of us can enjoy some shadowgun goodness

I do not have the game or chainfire so I cannot say if this really works. Just thought I would share what I found in hopes that it will work, becuase if it does I will seriously sign up for it.

just tried using those settings and still crashing so hopefully the op can shed some light on the proper settings

played around with it some more and the settings i used were unroll textures, reduce texture size , and disable mapbuffer emu. It got the game going but once two baddies showed up I got one of them and as i was turning toward the other one it froze up and had to do a battery pull, so going back in and see what happens. and thanks always a go to quote for me.
*update* went back in and resumed game and nothing so we still need some help

got this problem with my play too and some of my devices too. (desire S,arc,sgs and Nexus S)

from what i read from the other forums, once you killed the baddies you must not see their corpse slowly disappearing on your sight, or else you gotta do a battery pull.

Minecraft Pocket & Sixaxis Controller

I have just started using Free Minecraft Pocket Demo with my sixaxis controller. You need to use a controller because the game requires physical buttons as its made for the sony experia. Works pretty well there are a few bugs but nothing major.

It's working fine on my Incredible.
When I tried that app to get the six axis working its said no. So you must have some magical Inc that allowed it to work, tell us what you did. I had a whole topic on this in the q+a section cuz I want to use my six axis for emulators. I had no responses of how to get it to work.
How do you map "enter" or whatever it takes to smash blocks? Also have you played around with the full version? Minecraft Pocket?
I'm using miui....not sure if it makes a difference. I am running a slcd Droid Inc with .92 hboot. I installed the app turned on Bluetooth and no issues. I contacted the sixaxis dev to see if I could get more info on mapping the input commands for 360 movement and smashing blocks. He hasn't emailed me yet but I will update the post when he does. I can't seem to find the paid app in the market does anyone else have luck finding it?

Are you running a sense based rom? I remember that the wiimote Bluetooth wouldn't work with sense based roms so I assume that its the same for the sixaxis. You might want to try switching to an AOSP rom (CM7, MIUI, OMGB) to use the sixaxis app.
Also we won't be able to see the paid version in the market. It only appears for xperia play devices.

Unfortunately, Sense framework's Bluetooth driver doesn't support connecting Human Interface Devices (HID) like a controller or keyboard.
You'll need to run an AOSP based rom, as they have a different Bluetooth stack that does support HID connections.
Also, another fun fact: TV-out only works on Sense based roms, so if you're like me and dream of playing emulator games on you DINC with a wiimote and watching the video on the TV, that'll have to stay a dream.

I have the paid version of Minecraft PE, got it when Google had the $0.10 app sale last fall. I am running CM7 and can use my six axis controller with SNES and NES emulators. I am having no luck with Minecraft PE though. How do you get the controller to work with Minecraft PE?
Edit: I downloaded the demo in the OP and the six axis functions in the game. However, L3 and R3 both run. I can only run and jump. Am I missing something here?

So long as it's not paired with any other device again (PS3 or computer) it will still work with your phone. It would be great if I could pair the remote with the phone over USB.

I found the touch profiles and created one for Minecraft PE. I have the analog_left walking and cross controls the block placement/removal. I cannot get analog_right to work correctly. When trying to turn it only turns as far as a touch from the center of the screen to the right/left of the screen.
The app is listening for a touch and the analog_rght provides a touch for that amount of screen space and when the analog_right goes back to center, the guy goes back looking forward too. As if a finger was moved from center -> side of screen -> center. That's my theory.

I actually got this work.. although its still buggy..
I don't think this will work for this game. It requires a lot of pressing the controller don't have. In general it works perfect. But the GUI and crafting and closing are the problem makers.

I will be able to play it. I emailed the dev of the six axis app and he told me how to fix my analog_right problem. All you do is set the button to relative touch. To do this select analog_right Menu -> Button Properties -> Relative Touch. Now it works. I set the sensitivity to about 75-80%.

I came very close to getting this figured out. I had the left controls set with the D-pad because if you set it with the analog you would hop around randomly. I set the minecraft options to Split controls, then set an area on the right to the right analog...this is where I came into my trouble, I will inform later on. I set my brick inventory to circle and jump to X. Then I set in the middle of the screen R1 to break and place blocks. Everything was find except for the right analog. It would sense a touch, making it place and break blocks when using the right analog, plus it would reach all the way over to the left controls and just freak out. So if you came up with a solution to this problem please let me know what you found out. Thanks.​
I'm sorry to bump this, but is anyone still interested? I've mapped my left analog for the movement( I just changed some button properties) and right analog for view(and building blacks and stuff). Its not complete, but you can play with your controller. My only hindrance is mapping to your block selection. I've mapped triangle as the inventory, but you have to use the touch screen from there. If anyone's interested, send me a PM and I'll send you my mappings.

GTA3 Arms Shortage crashing and other problems

I'm having a bit of a problem with GTA3. On the Arms Shortage mission given by the cop on the second island every time I drive into the marker in the army base the game crashes straight to my home screen, no force close or anything. If I get out and walk into the marker the game takes control and makes the player do a stupid lap around the base, resulting in death.
The game also takes control of the player every time I complete a casino mission and makes him walk into a wall continuously, the only way to regain control is to quit and resume.
Anyone have similar problems or know what to do?

i got the exact same problem, i think its the 1.3 update that causes it, i have not found any fix for this yet, i hope Rockstar makes an update for FC and crashes :S

I haven't had a single problem with my GTA III game and I've had it since release but have only started playing it since the 1.3 patch.
The 1.3 Update is great. The only problem i´ve had so far is that when i press the aim button when i have the M16 rifle equipped nothing happens. I can´t aim manually with it. This didn´t occur in Version 1.0. Anyone else having this problem?

Could you please? It's driving me mad, I can't advance anymore lol.
Also which button is to aim? I thought it was auto aim only :/.
It´s the menu button on the gamepad. Under the d pad. Just works with the sniper rifle, the rocket launcher and the M16 which obviously doesn´t in 1.3 with this button. You´ll need to use the onscreen keys to get into manual aim with the M16.

This is happening due to the High Cpu & Ram demand on the game as soon as you drive into the position, if you check the Xperia Play Themes & Apps section, my CAR MODV2 is available which was designed for people which there game crashes like yours, word of advice though, anytime you drive a police car it will be slow (speed)

ATM I'm redownloading the sd card files as I believe some of the mission scripting is corrupted, the only reason I haven't tried this before is that my wifi connection is terrible, going to take a while lol.
If anyone could upload or send me their SD card files it would be a great help, when my wifi craps out at over 23% GTA3 won't boot and I have to delete and start over again, never ending cycle lol.
Sry guys, I just tried the 1.3 update, and I was wondering if I can can set the movement controls to the touchpads. I read that on xperiagamer, but I can't find anything in the game options, I can only move with the dpad. Maybe you just can't move with the touchpads?

When you enter the location, aload of police cars start chasing you & you have to escape, due to this your CPU usage is quite high & ram & probably cant cope

It has nothing to do with cpu or ram usage, it's just a glitch in the game. There are no more people or cars than in any other mission.
The way I got around the glitch, though, is by first walking into the trigger area (the blue circle of light thing), instead of driving into it. Then, as he jogs around the area ignoring user input, he will get close enough to the tank for the "door" on-screen button to appear, which you can press to break his jogging cycle.
He'll run over to the tank, try to get in, but it's locked, and you can then help the one-armed man kill the Columbian Cartel attackers.
Hope this helps others! Sure was a hassle for me lol.
Edit: I'm playing this on a Droid Bionic, btw, not the xperia
When i had this mission i take ol and use them as barricade and than destroy cartel using granades. Try it maybe it helps...

I had the same problem(crashing in this mission) and I searched it through the internet but i couldn't get pass of that.
so i tried different ways(because I had the same problem in some other missions).
at last I found it! the problem is with the cars..when you go in the marked area with a car,it crashes...when ever you had this problem,just go at the marked area on YOUR FOOT!! thats it..it works for this problem in any mission crashes like this

I never experienced the bug with saving citizens, but I've purchased the wap store version and saved two citizens without issue. Believe circle was the button used to save the citizen

I just played the wapshop version, I haven't play the v1.1.0 so I'm not sure whats the difference between them. The wapshop version is proper optimize for our Play, it does lag somtimes (not sure if its just my Play) but its still playable.

Well problems in the v1.1.0 is that there is a bug where 'slide to do something' (e.g jumping over the car at the bank robbery) does not appear unless you slide the gamepad in. Also there is a bug where you cannot use both touchpads at the same time. I also had a problem (well I think it could be a bug) where if you abandon the mission where you fight lizard without the power to web swing (you lose it), then no story missions will be shown on the map and you still won't be able to web swing.

HussainQ, the bug you just mention doesn't happen in this version. Saving people, dodging cars etc, they are all using the Play buttons. The circle touch pad also works great along with d-pad. Touch screen can't be use in this game except for upgrading.

Good day everyone, I just purchased the game at Gameloft wapshop for Xperia Play. The version is 1.0.7.
Currently, I only noticed a couple of bugs.
The first one is regarding buying items. Tapping the Map does not do anything. If I have to buy items from the shop, I'll just press the menu button to access it and remove the message. But the arrow pointing the map kind of disturbs me.
But the worst bug yet that I have encountered is during one of the missions, where you have to deactivate 4 bombs. After arriving at one of the bombs, an icon appears. I think you have to touch this in order to deactivate the bomb. Unfortunately, it does nothing. All other buttons does nothing as well. I'm kind of stuck in this mission.
The game play for me is ok. Sometimes it is laggy, but most of the time, the game is manageable.
I hope you guys won't experience the bugs I have experienced, and if you have solutions to the bugs, please post it. Thanks!

Deathsmiles out now - Not XPO optimized

I hate to bring up games that aren't Xperia Play optimized but what I'm wondering is: is it possible to set up the controls with gamekeyboard? I've never been too good with GKB and have not been able to figure out how to configure a profile with a game that allows a full range of touch movement. None of the Cave games are optimized but Deathsmiles seemed like a logical choice being a hori. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and for anyone wondering the lite version had no slowdown on my device so much like Resurrection the game should run just fine even with more bullets thrown at you in later levels.
The lite version of DDP Resurecction ran fine on my XP. To be honest, I ain't even mad this game isn't XPO because it controls like a dream! Just get it seriously, if you remotely like shmups you can't go wrong with Cave. Also, dat soundtrack:

Plays well, but has on screen controls, with the movement one being adjustable.
You can leave it as stuck(original), smart(you touch the screen somewhere, they will appear), or autocorrect,, which I dunno, lets you move with depending on where you touch.
G-Gee / Cave won't optimise Deathsmiles, I just can't see it.
Besides the onscreen controls work like a pad anyway, so movement etc is fine.

[Q] Has anyone been able to play Ravensword: Shadowlands?

I recently purchased a Shield to be my only & main Android gaming platform. The first game I spent money on was Ravensword: Shadowlands, but I cannot get it to launch using the controller. On startup, the game asks whether you would like to use a controller or not. If I select no, the game runs perfectly fine, but the Shield is unfortunately not designed with touch-only gaming in mind. When I do select yes, the game will make it past all the loading screens, get to the main menu as if it is running normally, but the menu itself wont load, just the background. It is animated and the sound does work.
I have scoured the internet for any sort of answer on this, and Crescent Moon Games (Developer) website seems to be down, so I cannot really contact anybody. I am sort of just looking to see if anyone else got it to launch, or if anyone else has experienced this issue with other games and discovered a workaround.
And thus it's not published as a game tile in SHIELD STORE.
i hope the game developers fix this.

I have the exact same issue with my Shield. hangs up at the start screen, with no buttons displayed, with that giant black spot in the background.
I have the same error on all my Android devices when I have a bluetooth gamepad connected. I think the developer has pretty much given up on the game at this point.
I've contacted the veleoper a few weeks ago.
He told me it isn't optimized for Shield...

They might not even know that this game doesn't work with the Shield.
Anywho, has anyone encountered similar problems? At this point, I am willing to experiment to try and resolve this, but I am unfortunately a complete Android noob. the first time I ran ravenssword in controller support mode I actually got it to work. it went to the game menu But none of the buttons on the controller work.the second time I actually ran it. it did the whole working background but frozen menu deal. with my experience with computers the only thing that I could say that would help is maybe you re installing the game
