Android version is still 7. 8. 0. 95 not 8.
Drunk texted from my CM7 Bolt.
Just got it from else where ... can't find any kind of link to v 8 beta anywhere on their site.
Anyway, installed it and subsequently installed Gnote. Gnote asked for permissions and I opted for this new UC browser. Guess what ... it took me to a page for Grant / Deny access with an email id already filled in!!!
hadion***[email protected] Wonder who this Hadi is??? I've got the full id, but put those stars for privacy in case it was a mistake!

Yeah. 8 is on the market now, but not as an update. It's a separate download.

I can't believe this company is still alive. Many years ago I worked for Pogo Mobile which had a similar device but we went bust due to lack of funding. Ran Mokady took control and then a month later shut the business down.
Real shame to see a British company with a great product in the making go under. We had a great new device in development too that was smaller than the Jam. Oh well.
Hello.
i looking for apps to add to my phone, and i really want an imdb mobile app.
After searching i have came to the conclusion that non exists (please correct me if im wrong).
i then found this site
Code:
http://nolanbrown.com/imdb

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
it redirects if you use IE , using chrome it appears to work.
after reading the about bit
"Since being released January 5, 2008, IMDb Mobile has been raved about as one of the best web applications available for the iPhone. It was voted a "Staff Pick" by Apple, made Apple's Most Popular page in Entertainment and in a mere 15 days, IMDb Mobile received more then 20,000 visitors."
it appears it was designed for iphone viewing and i guess the creator set it up to check for the browser and have a blacklist (it appears his blog not updated in some time, maybe chrome wasnt out when the he had the blacklist??? i dunno only guessing) so i assume changing the user agent on one of my mobile browser would make this site visible (unless anyone has a quicker solution).
i dont really want to change the user agent everytime so anyone know a imdb mobile app / quicker solution to use that site.
thank you for your time.
larry.
+1 for a IMDB Mobile App...would definitely be a nice app to have!
I would also like to get one...
Just as an alternative solution you can use the ebook-reader TomeRaider3, as they have the imdb database as a free download on their site (approx. 158mb) to read offline
Will give it a try...but I think an online app would be even better
Nevertheless thanks for your share!
Ascenca
i used to use it
i thought it was rather poor though, and if i remember correctly it is quite limited in what information it gives you.
the proper site works not too bad though.
Just downloaded this for my HD2 its an upgrade of a slightly older one and runs great once you go into the settings and assign a video player for the trailers to play on. In my case i navigated to windows/ windows media player

[APP] brightbuyr: Barcode Price Comparison Application - Works in US & UK [13 Apr]

Hey everyone,
I'm currently in my final year at uni, and part of the course is a project where I basically have a develop a piece of software. My choice was an Android shopping price comparison application ala ShopSavvy.
You may ask why I decided to create an application, which a working version already exists. Firstly I did this for the technical challenge, and didn't really think I'd be releasing this publically. I've decided though that there is a good chance that I'll release this. Second is that my application has an added feature which allows users to contribute to the database!
Currently it has nearly all the features that ShopSavvy has including searching, barcode scanning and price alerts. I've tried to keep the UI standard Android as much as possible, and I think it runs a bit quicker than ShopSavvy. Currently it's UK and US only, but I plan to make it more global friendly as soon as possible. It's also Donut (1.6) or newer due to me using some Donut only features (Search mainly).
BETA Released!
I've released a beta onto Android Market. At the moment, it's only available in the UK and US but will be available for more countries soon.
QRcode for Market Link:
http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.brightbuyr.android/
One thing I would like to feedback on the application. Just general stuff really but focusing on:
Users of HDPI devices (Droid, Nexus One, etc) on how the layout looks
General bugs (FCs, ANRs)
If you'd like to give feedback on the beta. Please do so on the following link, it's only a very short form:

Thanks
What Uni do you go to,
What would Alpha testing involve??? lol

I go to Aston university Mainly just using the thing and reporting back with feedback, nothing special.
id be happy to beta test it.
The name sucks : Just saying...
I really like the UI. I can beta test too, I have a N1.
Looks nice, I like how it shows nearby shops on the map. Radius would be IMO better in the form of slider rather than drop down list. It would be also useful if it could tell me opening times.
Beta Released! See the original post!!!
It looks good enough in the Nexus one. Good work
Just uploaded version 0.1.2b onto the Market. Now works in the US as well (hopefully anyway lol)
Just uploaded v0.2.0 onto the Market. Mainly bugfixes but also a small help system.
Hi all,
I'd like to now if/how it's possible to open multiple windows in Internet Explorer Mobile. I found "NoNewWindows" in de registry and changed it to 0 but that didn't change anything.
I would like to use it together with iMangager to have a tab-based browsing experience in IE.
Thanks,
Joren
I don't think PIE supports tabs. It would be sweet if it did, though.
Awwww...
But does winmo support opening the same app multiple times? Like regular windows does? (many instances of same exe)
Is there really noone who knows wether or not it's possible to open many instances of the same application in winmo?
(sorry for the bump)
PIE tabbed browsing made possible!

Notes
This program has been developed using Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0.7045.0, which is required to run it. Only this version will work as there are numerous bugs in previous versions, as well as this one, but this is the one that is most stable and enables the functionality to open new tabs.
Favourites are managed by Pocket Internet Explorer.
There is a known issue when navigating, the back/forward buttons do not function correctly. For example, when you click on a link for the first time you should be allowed to "go back". However, due to bugs in Microsoft .NET Compact 2.0 this does not register correctly that you can "go back". However, there is a workaround, which is to go to another tab and then return. This then registers correctly.
Before downloading you must agree END-USER LICENSE at developer's page;

Hello!
A succint presentation first of all:
I am a power user who likes to browse the internet desktop style, this means I use custom desktop user agent (X11; Linux x86_64). I operate in landscape most of the time and use a reduced screen dpi value for sites and apps to think my screen is a lot bigger (at times I reduce it to actual desktop monitor levels). Take a peek:

Been using Chrome for some years already, with the usual root user user agent hack and many flag optimizations. It still is a great browser imho, but it is starting to seriously stink. If I do recall correctly with the v62 update the address bar tab switching slide left/right thing received an animation which degraded its performance from flawless instant into slow piece of crap. Also at that point or some version later my keyboard's Enter/Go key started turning into Next in some search fields where it shouldn't (this is nothing major as the ALT key forces normal operation). In the recent v71 they removed the homepage links to Bookmarks :crying: and Downloads. When I downgraded from v71 to a previous version, the browser deleted all the files it had in his download history from my device's Download folder (this is super bad and a serious violation of privacy). With the very latest update which for now I am going to uninstall, they have added another stupid animation to the page search engine which of course cripples it considerably when using it in pages with a lot of content. As an example, when searching for a device in the Batteries and chargers' section at lygte-info.dk the search was instant before that upgrade downgrade, now it takes many orders of magnitude more time, i.e. it's a slow piece of sh1t.
It's going downhill or so it seems to me. What a waste of development efforts.
In essence, my question is what are the possible alternatives. I like good bookmark management (with folders and search function) and cloud syncing. I despise explicit and/or slow interface animations, I despise unnecessary crap getting in the way of my high FoV. The more flexibility and options the better.
C'mon, say something.
