By now, the latest kernel edition is: 2.6.32.9-g82fb087. To update to chinese offical release edition (this rom include 2 Languages: English and Chinese and does not has google service, that means you need to install it yourself), you need to: 1. flash chinese offical xt702 sgc1260/2040/3040 sbf image. The link of SGC3040.sbf is http://file.geeka.net/system/20107131112.rar 2. download offical update.zip. The link is http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/CN-ZH/_IndependentPages/XT702
method:
reboot the mobilephone, use rsd lite to flash the sbf, then put the update.zip to the root of sdcard. Then press x or camera button to the recovery mode. Select apply update. Waiting. Then select reboot. Now you have offical 2.2!!
Now I supply a nandroid recovery file. You just need to use nandroid -> restore then select this document. Your kernel will be the latest

After two days test, I'm sure this is still a test edition, not final edition, it is still has DSI problem, in other words, it is still not stable. Also, China has canceled the update link.
Downloading!!!!
But this page doesnt show anything , its still the same which says pending for Q1 2011?

That is the model number of Milestone in China.
Funny coincidence, though...
Congrats, please give feedback if the known bugs were fixed properly!!!
This looks like an incremental update for most of the system. The real important part for me is the boot.img, the other can be optional.
Question: Can i flash a SBF for XT702 on my Milestone without harm?
Seems real official release... screenshot available in gfan (sorry I can't post link yet)
Build number is SGC_U6_10.13.0

maybe this is logical,
but as Sileshn said 702 is not the same as Milestone!
AFAIK, XT702/A853 share the same hardware and ROM
XT702 is just a brand name of A853 in China without Google Apps

No, my mobilephone is milestone but not xt702, and I flash SGC3040.sbf successfully. The only different is one key: XT702 has a chinese/english swift key instead of the select key on the keyboard. There is no other different. So, milestone also can flash SGC3040.sbf and then update to 2.2.1
For those interested,
The base 2.1 sbf can be found here
http://and-developers.com/sbf:milestone
Sileshn is right! !!!
A853 Milestone is different from xt702
Also you can say : Milestone and Droid are the same ; Droid is the American version of the Milestone or the other way around; but it is not!!!

Also, I have upload the latest kernel. If you just need the kernel, you can simply download the file and use nandroid to recovery it.

[ROM] Official Froyo 2.2.1 - Retail Brasil - Rooted & Overclocked Nandroid available
Official Froyo 2.2.1 Update for Milestone - Retail BrazilYou need to flash the stock 2.1 ROM and use Motorola Software Update to get your phone updated to Froyo ( 2.2.1 ). If you are already running 2.1, just use MSU to update and retain your apps. If you are running a custom rom and want to get back to stock, please look at this thread for more information.
Official 2.1 Retail Brazil sbf's can be downloaded from the links below.

You can update your phone after flashing the 2.1 sbf file by downloading the MSU. You can use this link to download the Motorola Software Updater.
Vulnerable recovery sbf and kernel from this ROM as a flashable zip file are attached. Nandroid back of this ROM, rooted and overclocked can be found here.
Many thanks to Sileshn and rasstaylor for their help. Credits to blogdoandroid.com for the information.
The wait is over. The moment that many were waiting, arrived. Motorola has finally released an Android 2.2 Froyo for Milestone, fulfilling his promise. Were 8 months of delay over the Droid, the American model of Milestone, but who was counting right? We were.
The wait continues for those who bought with operator (TIM, VIVO, CLARO, OI)
We were surprised with some cosmetic changes, you can check out the following photos below. The lock screen, Screen Lock, was redesigned, becoming different from the original Froyo Google as well as the Launcher (the screen that shows icons for apps. She was like the Eclair (Android 2.1). It is speculated that this was done to improve performance.
In addition to traditional apps already installed on the Milestone, a Facebook app was included. Motorola has certainly gained a quick buck to get it.
Another interesting accretion was a mini app to access the chip carrier, in my case of HI. Previously there was only app SIM Tool Kit, which has now been renamed to World HI. Besides this, has added another app, which is nothing more than two links to web pages of the operator, plus a link to the SIM Tool Kit SIM Tool Kit, or STK is very important for users of the HI, because allows us to check the credit balance.

need a SBF for dead phone mb526
my phone info
45.0.128 mb526
epu93_U_00.5F.00
2.6.32.9_g78c60e1
4.5.1_128
i need full sbf not shadow 128.sbf
You can try to flash the 4.5.1-134_DFP-10 SBF-file from this thread on the MB526 (Defy+):
[FLASH_SBF] 2.3.4 для Defy - 134
This will not bring you to the stock rom and has some limitations.
To bing your device close to the stock rom, you will have to root the device, install 2nd-init and restore a nandroid backup after installation of the above SBF.
There is AFAIK no full SBF available for the Defy+ untill now.
See Walter's post (#5) below.

"2.3.4 для Defy - 134", this was posted on 17th June 2011, 05:57 AM, I don't think it has the latest bootloader because defy+ which can be bricked are shipped to China recently.

I have tried that before but my defy+ still cannot boot up.
Since you are Chinese you can refer to this post(http://bbs.mfunz.com/thread-235188-1-1.html)
seems that many defy+(and some defy) which shipped after 12 Nov. have the same problem.
we need a office sbf for MB526 with 2.3.6
my mb526 can not boot
The RSD can still found device
This is for those who have updated the phone via OTA to .629 and then tried to sbf back to an older sbf resulting in a soft brick. Anyone else plz do don't attempt this since there is a good chance you will brick your phone. They did this on Droid X to get root on the new update, basically they used Milestone X sbf that can be rooted and flashed it over. Maybe Droid2Global could use Milestone 2 sbf files. We could use this to get root and unbrick some devices. Download 2.3.4 or above since it maybe has a chance to flash successfully on our phone. link for sbf files http://and-developers.com/sbf:milestone2
the droid x and milestone x, are almost identical, just different radio
the D2G and milestone 2 have different radios, processors and maybe others
edit: it seems that motorola only use the OMAP3630-1200 processor in the D2G
milestone 2 has TI OMAP3630-1000
I did find a 4.3" MOTO™ ME811(motorola shadow) with the same processor TI OMAP3630-1200
not saying it's an option just interesting

The droid X approach was from a working phone right (using the .621 SBF if needed) and part of the trick was to keep the working VZ radio version (so using Linux SBF rather than RSDlite). On a softbricked D2G, do we know if the radio is intact after the failed SBF?

It should make no difference if the phone is working or not, important thing is to find a sbf that will flash on our phone. You would need to use Linux to keep the radio yea, but even if you use RSDlight it should flash fine but you will have a different radio. Too bad we don't have a sbf file yet, I want to try to install milestone rom since i live in Europe. It can be rooted and is better for a GSM Network.
ok im giving this a try ! i will keep you posted
