[Q] Screen off without lock the phone - HTC Sensation

Hi
There is any way to power off the screen but without locking the phone ?
For example every time I listen to music and i want to change song i have to press the power button and unlock the phone. I want to just touch the screen and don't lock the phone.
Thanks

Hi,
When I am playing music,I can switch the phone off.
Then if I want to skip a track,I switch on,and the player is on the lockscreen.
I can then just change the song and switch off again.
I'm using HTC music player.

Yes I know. But the power button isn't the best thing on the sensation. I prefer to avoid using it.

Screen lock on A2DP Bluetooth?

Firstly - hello all! What a great forum, I've gone from knowing nothing about Windows Mobile to having a fully customised Raphael in about 48 hours!
But: I have a set of Motorola S9 Bluetooth headphones which work excellently (although I haven't yet made or received a call using them). I also have a Sony a2dp Bluetooth headunit which also works excellently.
However .... As a matter of course I use the one touch power button to lock/standby, and when I press play/pause on either bluetooth device it automatically unlocks the phone.
When I'm driving this isn't such an issue as I will be ordering a Brodit Car Cradle very soon. But when I have the handset in my pocket using the S9 having it unlocked is a recipe for unwanted screen presses. I use the Touch Media Player (I know it's not the best but it seems to work OK for what I want) and the handset switches to the Music screen automatically (as well as unlocking) whenever I press play/pause. So theoretically it's pretty likely that it's only the media player that will get messed with, but you never know...
So my question is: Is there any way of stopping it from unlocking like this without introducing extra locking/unlocking complications?
hi
im using the Jabra BT3030, that uses A2DP aswel, on my touch pro and my phone stays locked when i start stop use the voice dailing, changing volume or song.
the phone turns on that is true, are u sure u are using the lock function
to realy lock ure phone u have to press and hold the end call button for 2 seconds(lower right button). if that button is not set to lock u can change that in ure phone settings under settings>long press end key there u can chose lock device
i hope this helps, let me know

Yeah, I'm using SonyEricsson HBH-DS980, and for me too the phone only turns on upon play/pause etc., but does not unlock.
Have you guys had any problems with receiving/making call using your headests? I have a problem that after a few minutes into a call my headset disconnects, although BT stays on, and I have to restart the headset to re-acquire BT-lock. And it keeps doing this every few minutes. Highly annoying - renders my headset completely useless for phone calls (luckily it still rocks for listening to music).
Mine does the same. Both with my HBH-DS970 and with my HTC BT headphones. I tried the long-press end key lock which works, but prevents me from changing tracks using the HTC headset, yet the volume control works. Weird huh?
I haven't tried the long end key press to lock the device. But thats because I use that for switching on vibrate mode.
Anyone got any other suggestions?
I'm using the motorola S9 too, and my TP doesn't unlock when I press play/pause.
Note that I've installed Answerkeydisabler and Advanced Config Tool and played with locking/screen-off, and may have activate some options leading to this behaviour...

u can always set the long key to "always display the quick list" so u can chose to lock ure device or set ure vibrate ringer
also u can just use the volume keys to change ure ringer to vibrate/sound to
I am now using the quick list so it sort of solves the problem. But it still seems a little awkward compared to just pressing the power button once and not having the a2dp commands reactivating it.
Are we saying that this cant be done?
Any ideas?

Music Running then Screen Turns Off

Hi,
i would like turn the screen off then i listen music, to save battery
can anybody help me?
Not possible buddy. You'll have to either assign suspend device to a hard button or use something like ChangeScreen which allows you to turn your phone's screen off by a)fliping your device down or b)putting it in your pocket (aka orientation is upside down and lightsensor is not detecting anything.)
You could use Mortplayer. It has an option to turn off the screen after a configurable timeout. When pressing the standby button the screen comes back online again.
Cann't you just press the power button? Works with most music players. I use nitrogen.

Thats what I was thinking, it works for me with the Media Player that came with the phone.
tanks, it works

key lock with media player

he,
as i press the on/of button while listening to the music to lock the keys it stops.
i use the standard media player.
i have heard a time that it can be set in advance config but i cant find the option.
What i do when using standard player is in the options menu, assign a hard key to turn off the screen (not into sleep) and remove certain key assingments. this means you can still change track on certain keys whilst others dont do anything. Get my drift?
i get the screen off button assigned but if i press any non d-pad button it turns on again.
so what do you mean with the others how do i get this off.
btw i also can turn the htc home music plugin on and the press device lock.

TouchFlo3d Audio Manager Playback and Suspend

I've searched everywhere using all the keywords I can think of but not had any success yet.
In the old days I used to use S2P or Windows Media Player and if I was on battery the screen would dim or even go blank but music wuld continue to play and I could pause or skip tracks using the d-pad despite the device appearing to be off.
I'm now using TouchFlo3d for music playback. This turns the screen off but also stops the buttons from working. It means I need to turn it on before I can change tracks or anything. I tried a workaround so that any button would wake the device but it ended up calling people by mistake while it was in my pocket. Then I installed S2U2 but that means I have to slide accross the screen to change tracks as well as pressing buttons.
Does anyone know of a way to allow me to press buttons while music is playing without running the risk of dialling people by accident? Thanks.

Customization Questions

Is there a way to stop the "warning" that pops up every time mobile data is turned off? Example. It is very unnecessary and forces me to "click" an extra time to proceed (yes I am that lazy).
Additionally, is there a way to change songs with the volume keys when the screen is turned off? On my old HTC One X I could change the songs by holding down volume up or down (regular pressing would still change volume). I would like this option because I frequently play music through my phone while driving. I have tried Pocket Skip Track but it is buggy and does not always work. I have also tried using DoubleTwist but the option does not work at all. Is there an option in Touchwiz for this that I simply missed? Or is there an easy root fix?
