Rooted phone.
Everything works fine except navigation.
Gps status found 6 sattelites.
Immediately after I started Igo and he told me `looking for sattelites...`,
and looking, and looking...
The same is using Motonav ?
Gps.info says europe.pool.ntp.otg.
I changed to rs.pool.ntp.org , restart phone, but situation is the same.
What is wrong ?
So i have a few questions:
1. Do I need to reflash radio for solving my gps problem. If yes, what radio is perfect for my rom. What is the procedure for that ?
2. What is the procedure for revert back to original hboot ( was 98.0002 ), and reflash whole phone with stock rom ( yes, i am prepared to loose s-off and root).
I dont want to use custom rom.

So you are running a stock rom anyway?
Have you tried any other gps apps, apart from satnav? GPS status can get a fix, so doesn't seem to be hardware related, more likely to be the satnav.
To flash a new radio, download from the thread in the development section - there is a list in the first post.
Name the radio PG88IMG & put in your sd card. Then reboot into bootloader (hold volume down as it reboots) & you will be asked if you want to apply the update. Press volume up & wait!
Reboot when prompted.
A new radio may solve your problems, its worth a go.

Don't think you need a new HBOOT or Radio. I've had this GPS problem on many Sense ROMS.
Sounds like you have used Fasterfix to change the GPS server address. This only worked for me on a couple of occasions.
What has worked for me every time, is this:

I now keep a saved .txt file with my particular servers for the UK saved on my SD card, and copy it over using Root Explorer with each new ROM I try that has GPS issues.
I reflash phone usin stock rom (233MB). After reboot i had nothing on my phone.
I installed everything again, formated sd card.
Tommorow i will use gps stats to find any sattelite. Now it is too windy for that.
I tought hwboot will be 98.0002, but stiil remain on Revolutionary 6.95.xxxx ?
I loose superuser. When i boot into recovery i have red triangle.
What will gonna do if my problem with gps persist?

When you say you reflashed with a stock ROM, what that an RUU? That would remove s-off and root. I have heard that the Revolutionary HBOOT sticks around after an RUU but I don't think it is a problem. I used XTP Clip so unfortunately I can't be much help there.
You will need to re-run your procedure for S-off and root if you want to boot into a custom recovery.

if ur s-off and want to receive ota update u will have problems like stuck on htc screen or no reboot options etc...htc said that will make some fix for that but who knows when... better stick with ur rom and if ur s-off ,root and enjoy extremely nice 3.0 and 3.5 roms ..thats my advice for u.cheers.

Hi folks,
I've got a T-Mobile branded Sensation, no idea how long they will take to get the 2.3.4 update out, probably months.
I want to S-OFF, Super CID etc and flash something else or just use a Euro RUU.
Problem is, for warranty purposes, I need to back up my current rom or obtain the T-Mobile RUU.
Is there anyway I can dump this rom first?
I've checked the big list of roms for the Sensation, lots of US ones there but nothing for T-Mobile Uk.

Backup stock ROM:
1. S-OFF
2. Install CWM
3. Backup with CWM
Job Done!
Restore stock ROM:
1. Restore backup
2. Flash stock recovery
3. Flash stock HBOOT
4. Run S-ON command via adb
Obviously the ROM you restore will have all your personal data so a hard reset after making sure it boots up would be wise to go back to a 100% 'out the box' state

If this is the real deal, legit one, then we're onto a winner.
I got a "communications were interrupted" error when using Revolutionary.
Rebooted with vol down, it's showing me as SHIP S-OFF
Ok to assume that it's all ok anyway?
I had this too, run it 3 times and eventually it will say it's done. I did report this on their feedback on the website as well
When I boot up with vol down, it is showing Revolutionary at the top and S-OFF.
Copied the PG58IMG 4.0.1.4 updated over, went into HBoot and it flashed.
Reboot, deleted the PG58IMG off the SD card.
Reboot, back into the bootloader screen and it's allowed me to run clockwork, so now done a full back up which has just finished.
All I want to do next is install the stock European 2.3.4 rom (RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.45.401.2), so I assume the next step is to change CID?
Thing is, I want to be able to use future OTA updates with this rom. Am I right in saying that whatever ID I set it to is what updates I will get?

Yeah, change CID to HTC__001 and then you're completely unbranded. OTA's should also go through without issue too

Bootloader is showing ***locked*** but I aint worried about that.
That's the new HBOOT, you can still use Revolutionary to S-OFF it again if need be (I personally re-flashed the 1.17.0011 HBOOT back as I didn't like the LOCKED message)

Because it does, but it's not technically S-OFF - I tried to flash a different HBOOT and it didn't work until I re-ran Revo

I have really strange problem, could you please help me out.
I am was using insert coin rom 4.4.1 and every thing was good so far,
Then i have realized that i have s- off and rooted my phone but i didn't super cid it
So i want to do that, i have supercid it by following the steps listed in this thread:

After i reboot the phone, it stayed in the flash screen (HTC screen)
I have reinstalled the rom and even other roms, but nothing was done.

There is small problem, i didn't remember my proper cid, all i know it is a europe version of sensation.

Hey I am not sure about your problem not heard of this. Maybe you need to super cid before flashing new firmware. Maybe if you can remember what your cid was before, you can change back and see if it makes any difference. maybe once returned to the stock cid you can revert firmware and then super cid. I am not sure though! I am just taking a stab at it since no one else has answered. here is a link with some firmware and it also tells stock cid's for different carriers/countries. Also maybe try flashing different firmware.

P.S. I think that since you still have access to recovery you will be able to resolve the issue (not hard bricked yet), just need to figure out what the problem is exactly.
Given that you still have access to your SDcard, trying flashing a new rom and firmware (go for Virtuous Inquisition).

If you wanna use ARHD 3.6.13 you need to downgrade your firmware to 3.12 or 1.17 it won't run on 3.24
I would downgrade your firmware, go to a GB rom, get it so your phone boots, then go through the process of going back to ICS.

Last time when I had major issue with my phone, I flashed couple different firmwares and different ICS and GB ROM. And somehow it worked for me. I'm just saying there's always hope. Dont give up! And good luck!
flash the latest official eu RUU, if nothing works.
You can always s-off/root then afterwards.

Nothing, most do not use fastboot commands, so don't worry about it. You are still s-off and able to flash any rom you desire.

you need to STOP flashing random firmware...if you don't know what it is and what the outcome is going to be, do not flash it

I have downgraded my firmwire to 3.12 and i have used hd 3.16.13 GB rom.
The bad news is that nothing done yet, stucking in HTC splash screen.
But there is something i want to add, may be is the clue to this problem .
I have realized that when i remove my SD card from the phone and i want to read it in my PC, it appears protected each time and this is strange (virus effect).
may be my SD card was damaged and it is the only problem of stucking???
What do you think guys??

Perhaps you accidentally set some sort of sharing protection on the SD card, which doesn't let the phone access the adequate files? If so, try reformatting your card on fat32. And then copy back the firmware/rom and attempt flashing again.

I have written in cmd "adb devices" then it is written
list of devices attached shxxxxxxxx my number, then i wrote "fastboot getvar cid" then it stayed in <waiting for device> normally it gave me my proper cid 11111111
Am i making something wrong??

If your bootloader says LOCKED like you previously indicated then you can not use fastboot commands as kpjimmy already said. Because you never supercid your phone you probably have some partial firmware update.
If I were you I would flash an older RUU to get to a known stable config and then start over.
No i have changed the firmwire and it is written revolutionary in purple.

You have to remove the firmware from the card after flashing it. But to bypass it, does your phone boot once you flash the rom and then remove the sd card?

when i updated the firmware hboot then the phone wrote push the power button to reboot, the problem is the phone will try to run the rom already installed in the phone, so i am forced to remove the battery and then remove the firmware from my PC.
in order to install the new rom.

my situation is as following:

at some point i accidently flashed hboot 2.00.0002. than i was stuck with the ruu update's error: 140..
i have a goldcard but it just wouldn't let me downgrade to this ruu: RUU_Saga_HTC_Europe_1.47.401.4_Radio_20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_199410_signed i am pretty sure that this is the right one...
i got my desire s at an o2 shop here in germany and it comes unbranded.
i tried so many guides, but i can't get out of this misery.
although i was able to get to the recovery (4ext touch), unlocked via htcdev, but unrooted and S-ON.
now my phone boots and gets stock at the ics fallout "htc one" bootscreen.
is there a way to get my desire s to be stock again?

Well All I can say is that never try to downgrade from any ics rom to stock ginger bread rom without downgradin your misc version mate.And unfortunately, i think you have to wait for official stock ICS rom.

yea, very wierd, isn't it?
i tried to fake a misc-version downgrade via adb cmd and i was able to do it once, but it was still higher than the ruu version.

Actually I myself encountered this problem using exactly the same guide but somehow i was able to find the higher RUU which did the trick for me. Try to find some higher RUU.
Otherwise go for jtag or xtc clip if u can't wait..
BTW update is just around the corner if you dont want to apply hardware methods

Try to look out for OS 2.3.5 with sense 3.0 for your region...

and now i am at 68% completion. i'll report when it's done.

Dats nice to hear it
Having unlocked the bootloader and having a functional custom recovery, all you had to do was to run misc_version script from recovery, reboot to bootloader, lock it and proceed with RUU flash. Nothing more.
Got your same problem. I was stuck at the bootloader because I had my desire s unlocked with HTCdev.com. Relocked it and flashed with a previous RUU like 1.47... it worked and then flashed hboot and radio...
u shd hv just unroot n den lock ur bootloader with the token provided when u did htc dev unlock
run d misc ver. changer n zergrush
and den run RUU ...
Hello! On my work whe have a lots of Desire S phones. One of my colegues manage to unlock one. The phone was working fine. The phone was passed to another colegue (the first went to retirement) and whe he tried to update something (wireless and with less than 25% of batery) the phone got stuck... What was your friend updating? firmware? if you are on a custom rom and tried to update the official firmware then it is a no no no no bad boy no u shouldnt have done that.

But I cant acess to the SD card. In fact I cant acess to the recovery mode! Do there and the only thing that shows is the red triangle... I all ready did a golden card but nothing....

read the 2nd post and try it out. if it is indeed a fried emmc chip there are a few way(not sure 1 or 2 out there) to salvage ur phone, or u could just replace the chip, there is a post some where in general section.
I think I guessed the problem.
Someone wanted to update ENG S-Off Desire S (with old ENG bootloader) to official ICS RUU. The update "completed successfully", but since the bootloader didn't let the update overwrite itself - the official update can't work, because it expects /system/lib partition that doesn't exist on old ENG bootloader.
The solution is to flash new ENG bootloader (7.xxxx), found in Development section, and then run official RUU again. It'll work and the phone will work again too.
By the way, the solution can be easily found if searching - I already remember such a thread. "Red triangle" is a stock recovery, search could have easily told you that. And goldcard is useless by itself, it's needed for flashing RUU.
And if the above doesn't work, because RUU gets stuck updating - address the "fried eMMC" post.

All of a sudden one day I turned it on and it wouldnt go past the htc logo. It comes on, stays on the logo for a few seconds then reboots. I dont know what could have caused this but my friend had it for the day and when I got it back this started happening. I've tried turning the phone on without a simcard and memory card, fractory reseting and wiping the cache partition.
I am a newb but have gotten a reasonable amount of knowlege on android over the past 24 hours but so far none of the posts or information i've gotten on the internet has proven useful. Does anyone know of a solution or advice which may help me with booting to my os.
By the way I have an HTC sensation 4g on T-mobile
Not to sure of the version of android thou but I have a HBOOT of 1.18.

this same thing happened to me but i have the Sensation not the 4g .. but i'm sure you probably messed up in the firmware update bit .. as i remember that logo flash and restart all the time ..

I tried flashing but i only got a little farther then kept restarted again. I turned it on the next morning and it wouldnt even turn on.

One thing is for sure, your phone isn't bricked and can be restored. The details of the device in the questions above are needed to determine exactly how to fix it though.
It sounds like your ROM got corrupted. (I can't even guess how) Ultimately you will be able to fix this by installing a new ROM. It's just a matter of figuring out what procedures you need to use based on your set up in order to do that.

It is stock, but i flashed it from gb to ics to try to resolve the problem. Rooted with htcdev, s-on. Also I installed CWM after it began to do that. I flashed a new hboot but that solved nothing, the next day it got worse and wouldn't even turn on.

you should used revolutionary.io method to S-OFF easily your device with that hboot version
that means that you have GB firmware and an ICS rom can't run in that fw version
while your are S-ON you should have installed 4ext recovery,enable smartflash from it and then flash a GB rom
after that you said you flashed a new hboot
i am not sure if you can do that as your are S-ON
and the result is not even turning on!
it seems to me that your device is bricked
use the unbricking project from dev section

I cannot use revolutionary because i get the phone to go past the htc logo. I could only get into the bootloader. I upgraded from 1.18 to 1.27 so s-on didnt matter. I tried to unbrick but it said no device found.

from fastboot connect your device into the pc
go to the folder where you have adb and fastboot files
open a command window there and do
fastboot getvar version-main
i assume you have 3.32.or3.33 firmware but do it
